Most Helpful Positive Review < 3 My 6 year old brunette wanted blue hair. I did not want to bleach his hair because he is so tiny, but wanted to support his self expression. I used manic panic and let it sit for 40 min, not even a blue tint. I used the loreal teal and let it set for an hour, and he got this forest nymph color. Even though our local Walgreens didn't have the blue for brunettes, he loves it, so I'm happy. This product also wasn't a chemical mad house. I do wish they made emote for brunettes, because even as an adult, bleaching hair sucks.
Most Helpful Critical Review The pink color works great! Not the indigo color. I am a naturally blonde with professionally dyed blonde balayage. I purchased the pink color and absolutely loved it! It came out in about 5 washes. About 3 months later, I purchased the indigo color. As soon as I put it on, it was a deep purple. I thought that was odd but didn't really think anything of it. I liked the color, then it faded to a dark blue, then a light blue, and now i've been stuck with an ugly greenish/pale blue color for about 2 months. I absolutely hate it. If I would've known the only option to getting this color out was expensive professionals and damaging bleach, I would have never bought it. It has been 87 days and I'm sitting here with greenish/pale blue hair, very annoyed.

My daughter put on her hair over 3 months ago. This still will not wash out!!! It wasn't virgin hair. She washed it every other day for the first month and then once or twice a day after. We spent hundreds of dollars at the salon to get it out. Her hair grew but the pink stuck around in some places so she looked like an Easter egg. Worst product ever!!!! So upsetting for my daughter. And I spent over $300 to get it out.
I would certainly buy it again 5

It is east to use.. I can control how much I put on & how bright the color.. It does wash out pretty quickly. By using the brush included. I can highlight or more coverage.. It does not seem harsh to my hair, but I use a conditioner with it. Best to use in dry clean hair so you can see where the product is & how bright..
Love the maroon! 5

I was excited to find color like this specifically for brunette hair, because seemingly every other option is made for blondes and for my hair would show "no result." I got the maroon to try, and found the application to be easy. The only con is that when rinsing it your shower will look like the scene from Psycho. However the color didn't stain my skin/rinsed easily, and stayed on my hair very well! It's definitely semi-permanent - lasted 10+ washes, with conditioner for colored hair. Not sure if I'd try the teal based on reviews but would definitely recommend maroon. Doing part of my hair I've gotten two applications out of it so far, with enough left in the tube to do strands later on.
Won't wash out 1

Used Colorista Hotpink countless times on my kid hair. Never an issue, would always wash out after 2/3 washes. For this Halloween bought a new batch of hotpink. The color container had a different color and so did the color itself. After countless washes that new hotpink color hasn't washed out. Her hair is still pink. We ended up doing a bleach bath, but still her hair is pink.
Can't recommend as a semi permanent color anymore.
It didn't work 1

i followed the direction to the letter and not a shade of color difference - absolutely nothing
Does not wash out! 1

Says it washes out with one shampoo. I'm about 12 shampoos later and still have pink hair. Not a very professional look in the office. I've never had a temporary dye stay in like this one does.

I had blue in my hair before hand and I bleached it all out and tried to add the purple it works but as soon as I take a shower it turns back to blue again
Pretty good, plenty of pros & cons 4

This product is really good as far as the color being true to the examples...pics, etc. On light hair it is vibrant. However, it is advertised as being temporary when in reality it is rather difficult to remove it completely...even with bleach. The blue tones esp tend to stick around. If you don't mind rocking the left over pastel shades that are left behind go for it...if not you should pass. Works for me..
Love it!!! 5

My hair is blonde and will not hold any permanent color. Within 2 washes, any color washes out of my hair. However, with this "temporary" hair color, my hair holds it magnificently!! I used the teal color, and I'm absolutely in love with it. A week later and it is still the same as the first day!!!
Stained my hair pink 1

I was unable to get the spray out of my hair. I shampooed it at least 10 times and even tried Dawn dish soap twice and could not get it out. I now have to go get the color bleached out of my hair.

It's a good hair dye but th gloves is way too small I don't have tiny hands to fit in those gloves and for that reason only I wouldn't buy it again
Love all 3 applications of colorista! 5

I decided a while ago to let my natural color, which used to be very dark brunette (but is now silver) grow out. It's a perfect canvas for releasing my inner unicorn!
Didn't work on medium blonde hair 3

My 6 year old wanted to dye her hair purple and I wanted an easy to use formula that would wash easily out. This brand was recommended, but the color did not show up at all on her medium blonde hair. Packaging did say for light blonde, highlighted or bleached hair.

Used colorista soft pink 300. Supposed to be very light pink according to the box, however came out neon pink, super bright neon pink! The seriously need to have accurate results pictured on the box. Zero out of 5 stars!

I've done multiple coloristia colors that all came out great and faded beautifully but my hair didn't even come out indigo. After leaving it on for about 30 mins I washed it out and it came out to be a blue and now after a day faded into a green. Not worth your hair getting stained

(Note: I have bleached hair and bought the purple hair color)
When first using the product everything seemed good until I rinsed it out. Once I blow-dried I saw it was patchy, and uneven tones in my hair. I even had parts of my hair that the color didn't even deposit on! Not to mention that this should've came out pretty good considering I have bleached hair, and followed all of the instructions. I let it sit for 30 minutes and used color lasting shampoo. I would not recommend this product to anybody unless you are doing minimal dye. I am very disappointed with the results.
Pros:
-Brush included
-Gloves included
-Cheap
Cons:
-Patchy
-Uneven shades
-Washes out very quickly
-Barely shows
-Doesn't deposit in places
For the price of this product, you get what you pay for to be honest. If you want to dye your hair please go with Arctic Fox or Manic Panic.

my hair was perfectly fine until i used this stuff. my hair is green and orange when i bought the violet one. i have washed my hair at least 12 times and it looks like my hair is bleached green and the roots are orange. i've tried dying my hair dark brown over it 2 times and it won't hold any color. my hair is ruined.

Silver all over my face and neck AFTER showering. 1

I have light blonde hair. Recently cut it very short. I wanted to try silver to see if I wanted to go with a silver permanently, in a few months. The color was fine. When I washed my hair the next day, I really anticipated it all washing out which I wanted. No such luck. I can deal with the tint of silver left on my hair, not all over my forehead, ears, nose and chest. Hands and fingernails!!! This was AFTER a shower and drying off w a towel. THE WORST!!

So I love this for pretty much all the reasons people hate it lol. It acts more like a permanent hair due in that it can last for months, and it's very conditioning so you can leave it on for a while. I will say the blue fades to like a green/teal but I kind of like that. The purple fades to a silver and I love that, it's like a new hair color for free. I'd say if your not afraid of experimenting if,this is for you.
Colored the skin better than the hair 1

I bought this for my kids hair, he has dirty blonde hair, so should have shown up. Nope, not even a little. We even left it on longer than needed, with a freaking plastic bag over the whole shebang. Did about nothing. What little that did show up, was washed out in one shower, and that is with color safe shampoo. So if you want to a temporary option, this is great, but not beyond that.
