Most Helpful Positive Review Great used with Caution When I first received Redken Brownlights Blue shampoo/conditioner, of course, the color was the first thing I noticed. With the distinct color, I decided to do a little research before trying the product. I read many reviews about the discoloration of showers and nails. But after some thought, I decided to give it a try.
To begin with, I took before and after pictures of my nails. I was cautious, not overly cautions, but aware while showering. I was careful to not overly splash while rinsing. Being aware definitely helped to not discolor my all white tile shower and/or my nails. I also use white towels, which had a very mild blue in them from drying my hair. This easily washed out with 1 cycle through the washer, no special treating needed. Next, the smell was very nice, like you have just left from a salon, each time you wash. The conditioner is much thicker than the shampoo and should be used with a bit more caution. Also, I do not scrub my head when conditioning, like I do while shampooing, which I have noticed leaves a little blue residue on my scalp that easily comes off at the next wash. Now for the product results. I tested the product over a 2 week period, washing with normal shampoo between washes. My hair has multi color highlight/lowlights so this was perfect for me! I made sure to take pics after each wash to see the progression. So far, after only 4 washes, I can definitely tell a difference in the brassiness. The orangish/brass color is slowly coming out and my hair looks great! I would highly recommend this to anyone with multi color hightlight/lowlight hair that is turning brass color, with the understanding that you have to be cautious during showers to prevent tub/tile and nail discoloration.
Most Helpful Critical Review I probably will not purchase again. I washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner. After drying my hair it continued to make my fingers blue. I had just had my nails done with a very light pink color and the product will not come off the end of my fingernails. Every time I run my fingers through my hair even a day or two after washing I continue to get blue on the tips of my fingers. I rinsed and rinsed several times to be sure that the water would run clear. Even after making sure it was all out of my hair it continues to turn the tips of my fingers blue when I run my fingers through my hair. I will not purchase the product again for this very reason.

The first 2 applications were great. The third shampoo dried my hair out. The conditioner did not help much. I returned both. I would still recommend as my experience is just that.

This conditioner not only gets rid of the ugly orange, it also leaves my hair feeling super soft and silky! Hair masks I've used before don't even make my hair feel as good as this conditioner does! Will be buying tons more of this stuff during Ulta's Jumbo sale!

Overall I really enjoyed this conditioner. I love a good conditioner that helps my hair feel softer. I'm not sure on the color difference yet as I think I need to continue using this consistently to see a big change.

I've tried other blue toning shampoo and conditioner combinations in the past and enjoyed most of them, and was eager to try this offering from Redken. I was pleasantly surprised at how moisturizing this conditioner was, and it smelled great. My hair was left extremely soft, frizz-free and manageable without needing much product afterward--quite surprising, as I don't get those results after other conditioners from Redken or any other brand! The shampoo and conditioner together made a huge difference in reducing brassiness in my color, to the point that even my hairstylist commented on how much less brassy my hair was than usual during my coloring appointment. I am very happy with this and have thoroughly enjoyed using it, and will continue to use it weekly to support and extend my hair color.

Yes, it is very dark blue but unless you cannot wash your just be careful definitely not that messy. My hair felt in instantly soft, my hair is still soft after drying. Def should buy it

some highlights and this shampoo and conditioner does amazing when it comes to making your hair look like you just had it done. color still looks amazing! only thing it is blue and gets everywhere but it does wash off your shower walls, hands & body very easily.

This shampoo and conditioner makes my hair so soft!! It definitely corrected the color of my hair and it's sulfate free. It's a blue shampoo and conditioner at first it scared me because I had blue all over my bathtub but it comes right off with ease. I love the results that it has given my hair.

I would not recommend this product. It did not work for me and it makes you realize how messy products can be if tinted. I never realized how much product got all around the shower until using this. You do have to put in effort into getting the blue residue off but it will wash off.
I was very hopeful for this product but it just didn't work.

I got blue everywhere all over the shower even wearing gloves. I didn't really notice a difference in my hair color either. Too messy to be worth the trouble!
