I ran out of a different brand of dip liquids (starts with an R) and wanted to find something I could buy locally and spend a little less on. I gave this a shot because I had a coupon, so it was a really good value. Compared to the other brand, the bottles are a bit smaller, but I like that because after a few uses, the other bottles tended to get stuck shut and goopy bottle necks. Having smaller bottles will help them not get too goopy before all the product is gone. They seem to perform on par with the other brand. As with all dip products, there is a learning curve. This is why I took off a star. The directions that come with this are vague and overly simplistic. For someone who is already used to dipping and has gotten the hang of the process, this doesn't matter. But for someone who's never done it before, they need more clear directions, tips and tricks. I thought it was nice that it came with a little bottle of acetone remover and a nail prep liquid. But, ultimately, not really necessary. I would rather pay less and only get the dip liquids. one little bottle of acetone is MAYBE enough to remove the product one time, which isn't really helpful. In the end, I would definitely buy these again. I appreciate that I can get them in-store and that they don't cost as much, the smaller bottles mean that they may not become totally goopy before the product runs out and they perform just as well as other popular brands.
First let me say that I actually loved the end product. If you spend the time and effort to research how to do a good dip manicure and be very careful with your application, the result is beautiful and long-lasting. Mine lasted over two weeks without chipping, I actually had to peel the dip off (bad for you nails, I know). But this kit in general is a total waste of money. I believe I spent about $35 or so on this kit, but the bottles you get are tiny, not full size bottles. The top coat had the consistency of superglue half way into my first use. They even include 'brush softener' for when this happens.. correct me if I'm wrong but is it not just a regular top coat? I have multiple other top coats that don't turn into this consistency 20 minutes into use. I ended up throwing away the top coat because it was such a useless mess. So that's 2 out of the 4 bottles that are essentially useless. The base coat and the activator are typical but I went in to go for my second use and literally can not for the life of me even open the base coat bottle, it's completely sealed shut. The "purify" and "erase" are also pretty useless in my opinion. Not to mention you also have to buy an actual dip powder separately, which will cost you another $10 or so dollars. Dip manicures at home are so easy and give such long-lasting beautiful results as long as you take the time to do them well. I highly recommend skipping this kit and spending the extra $$ on full-size, reusable, and useful bottles of product.

The bottles are super small and the top coat applicator brush gets gummed up instantly, making a smooth application impossible. But the worst part is that after spending over an hour doing my nails, they begin to lift on the sides after only 3 days, despite meticulously prepping my nails beforehand. The claim that it lasts up to 3 weeks is a joke. I hope I can get my money back!

So, I decided to buy this on a self-care day and was super excited to use it because getting my nails done is getting so expensive and i don't have the patience to sit in a salon. But, I like how easy the directions were to follow and how easy it was to understand and use. I just didn't like how the top coat brush ended up clumping together after my first nail which made it difficult to use with the rest of my nails. I also didn't like how it lasted about a week and a half before it starting lifting at the top of my nail and chipping. It was definitely a waste of money.
