A mask masquerading as a cleanser-And not well

I'm a prodigious consumer of skincare and beauty products and I am very selective as I grow older. I purchase products that are reliable and deliver results,add to my skincare routine and make me feel better for havingused it. I don't mind paying more for a quality product if it truly delivers resul...ts. I used the Cold Plasma Plus several days before reviewing in both the morning and evenings. I si gle cleanse in the morning and double cleanse at night to ensure my makeup is fully removed. I used the Cold Plasma as the second step in the evening to ensure I was seeing the true effect on my skin condition. Everything about this product seems wrong. It's as though Perricone tried to turn a clay mask into a cleanser by changing the mask texture into something more whipped or light. The result is an odd spongy texture that doesn't feel pleasant to the touch. Apart from the additives to make it lighter and whipped, it would have dried down just a mask would have. The color is also not esthetically pleasing. The shade of blue/violet turns to a darker purple once the dark capsules are burst as you apply the cleanser. I found myself being afraid it would get on my clothes as it is quite dark. Also, the dark capsules that don't fully burst and mix into the cleanser are black and leave streaks on your hands and face until washed and it wasn't pleasant. It also left a bit of a mess in the sink as I was washing and I had to wipe down the bowl afterwards. I'd expect this color if it were a mask, but not a cleanser. I know the packaging isn't finalized so I'm unsure if it's specifically going to be marketed as scent-free, but I would have preferred a light spa-like fragrance over the unscented. The dark color seemed odd against it being unscented. Apart from the esthetic issues with texture, Color, and scent, the cleanser seemed to do a decent job of cleaning my skin without drying effects. My skin felt good afterwards before the next steps in my skincare routine. Perricone MD is a well respected brand and I might have even purchased it on my own without this experience, but I would have been very disappointed. I think an adjustment to the texture, color, and adding scent would greatly impact user experience and satisfaction. I'm going to continue using it to see if it improves my skin condition over time, but I would not purchase it as the overall experience of using it was not pleasant. I want to feel like my skincare routine is spa-like, and you need the esthetics to match that. Even if the product produces great results, it needs to make you feel great about the entire experience.
