This bottle is different than Clinique's standard bottle:
It's exclusively designed to pair with a Clinique iD Active Cartridge.
It has a wider mouth than standard bottles and there's extra room inside for the addition of the Cartridge.
The standard bottles of Clinique's moisturizers will not work with the Cartridges.

We immediately felt the difference after applying. I especially like that you can personaliz this product by selecting a cartridge that applies to what your looking to try! I purchased the jelly vs the lotion 1.) Because it was a new concept. 2.) because this is what I tested in store and fell in looooove. I purchased the blue cartridge for pores and tone. I experience some hormonal acne that comes at specific times of the month and other times I am super dry and notice it especially around my mouth. I have used this product once daily in the morning after a shower and when my face is clean. I do not even need to reapply as the day goes on. This product is a little spendy, but the wear of it and the amount needed makes up for that. I called my mom a couple days after and told her I couldn't believe the difference it had made in such a short time. Best advice, stop in and try it. You will love it! Ask for samples too (; I have a couple other serums to try in this line and I can't wait to see more results! PS. I read plenty of both negative and positive reviews, so I decided to give it a try to myself. Man, was I disappointed. I will never purchase this product EVER again. Actually, I cannot wait until the Ulta near me opens back up, so I can return it and put that money towards a decent face product. First of all, it is a total rip off that you need to buy not only this, but the pump with the primer of your choice. I was so excited to try this out, and once it failed the first time, I tried so hard to make it work. The first time I put it on, I used my hands (which I never do) and thought it looked great. UNTIL I looked in the mirror about 20 mins later. It legitametly looked like someone had smudged dirt on my cheeks. It was so streaky and patchy. It was not evenly balanced what so ever. If you are going to make a moisturized, please do not ever make one like this ever again. I then again tried using a beauty blender to apply it, by putting it directly on the beauty blender. Nope, no color. Then I decided to put it on my hand, rub it in a little and apply it with a beauty blender. NOPE. It was so grainy and dried so streaky, that I had to re-wet my beauty blender and basically smudge it off of my face. I cannot wait to get my money back. I started off with just the base, the dramatically different moisturizing lotion, I didn't think there was much of a difference. My skin didn't dry out and wasn't overly oily so it was doing its job. To aide in my texturing skin I used the blue serum capsule that you could install into the moisturizer and it made a HUGE difference! I noticed it working after the 3rd or 4th week and my skin has been very receptive to it. I use EltaMD tinted sunscreen over this moisturizer and it gives me a dewy look with minimal effort.
