Most Helpful Positive Review Keeper! I love this hairspray. I have been on the search ever since Victoria's Secret discontinued their hair products.Crazy, I know, but those products were amazing. I have tried so many hairsprays only to hate one thing or another. My complaints about many of those hairsprays included: too heavy scent, too stiff hold, not enough hold, buildup, dried hair out, made hair oily, etc. This is the first hairspray that has checked all my boxes. It provides a hold that keeps my style in place all day, but that still brushes out at the end of the day. I can typically go several days between washings since this does not create noticeable buildup. The scent is light and doesn't conflict with my perfume. The only thing I could see being a con is the price, however, a large can of this lasts quite some time. Also, if you watch for sales or the occasional twenty percent off coupon that can be used on prestige brands, it is not so bad. Honestly, it is such a good product that I need to use less and that itself makes it a better value. Give it a try - hopefully it becomes your go-to too!
Most Helpful Critical Review MISS THE PURPLE CONTAINER What happened? Why change a good thing. Just like NEW COKE/Cola when it came out changed the color of the can and the product inside. Does not seem to hold my hair in place and when I do use the spray, I need to hold the container 2 to 3 feet away so I get that soft all over spray. The old spray smelled good. This one not so much. And, if I hold the container too close, it sprays too much in a certain area thus sticking it together in a way that looks awful. This may work for some but not for me. I loved the Original working spray. I got the hold I needed without the stickiness. My hair was soft yet stayed in place. I have been using the working spray for 5 years and was really happy. So, I will try to use this hair spray as best I can but will be on the hunt for something different.

I have very fine/thin hair that I wear in a short style. This hairspray is perfect because it has just enough hold without weighing my hair down. It also doesn't have a lingering smell, which is important to me as someone with allergies.

I've tried most if not all of the Prestige brand hairsprays, and this one cannot be beat in terms of hold. Even the other Alterna hairsprays (like My Hair Canvas) do not hold nearly as well (and as long) as this spray.

I have fine, limp hair and this hairspray lives up to it's "working" name. I simply quickly spritz it where I want my hair to keep its style, and it stays all day.

THIS IS NOT A FINISHING SPRAY. So if you're looking for a strong hold finishing spray you're going to be disappointed. This is a working hairspray that is meant as an aid to your heat tools while styling. It does a very good job and I'm happy with the purchase.
I use this product on my hair when I do a blowout. I spray each section of hair just before I blow it out. It keeps the humidity from ruining my fine hair and helps my hair stay nice all day. It also helps my hair hold body. Not crunchy at all and it has a very light scent that doesn't stick around, which I love. You can layer it to get a slightly stronger hold. Good stuff. Highly recommend.

ok, so I used to use the Alterna Straightening Starch on my hair everyday . I loved it so much. It worked very well without leaving my hair oily and it smelled like strawberries. I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE anymore though. And these alterna products do not smell good. I'm not freaky sure how they work bc I have not bought this product since it has changed. Nobody wants to put something in their hair that stinks

This spray is great for my baby fine but thick, color treated hair. Plus it gives your hair shine. Works in the Florida heat and humidity. More expensive but so worth the price.

I rarely review hair products but this warrants a review. It is expensive, yes, but so worth it. It's a huge bottle for the price. I have tried everything out there and always go for the firm hold because of my baby fine hair. The guy at Ulta suggested this hairspray, and I thought "no way, a flexible hold will never work for my straight fine hair" but, I trusted him and tried it. Wow, is all I can say. After 30 years of trying hairspray this is the best by far. Not heavy, not greasy and a strong flexible hold that lasts for 2+ days.

Really didn't like this spray, not workable with no hold. Like spraying alcohol on your hair , and it smells horrible.

I use this product as a spray to build body and texture. I also use this as a finishing spray. It doesn't make my hair feel sticky and it holds up in the heat and humidity.
