I actually use this as a powder foundation after applying concealer to my face. I have sensitive, dry-to-very dry skin, that is very sensitive. This powder doesn't irritate my skin or make my acne prone skin any worse. I don't wear moisturizer or primer underneath it, because I feel that in several cases this is what can and often does lead to causing problems with the issues of exactly how a product performs on ones face. Plenty of moisturizers aren't compatible with makeup, and you also have to be very careful with primers, because in many cases they can actually work against doing the very things that their supposedly designed to ward off in the first place. Plenty of people don't take this into consideration enough, but it something that is super important for sure. Oh, and if you have combo skin, you should be applying an oil free moisturizer only to the dry spots on your face as needed. If you have oily or very oily skin, you do not need to apply a moisturizer to your face, because your skin is already over producing enough sebum and applying a moisturizer on oily or very skin will throughout the day, only make your face look even more oiler. For my dry skin gals, I highly recommend using a moisturizer, if needed under your foundation, whether it be a liquid, powder, etc., as needed, but do use one that leaves your face overly oily or greasy to the touch, before you even have chance to put on your makeup, because this will not set well with your makeup.
The reason why I don't choose to use this powder as a setting powder over the NYX Can't Stop Won't Stop Liquid Foundation, is because I actually find that the liquid foundation actually actually sets itself on my face without the need for being set with powder and definitely stays flawless and matte on me all day until I take it off.
This powder is great in that it provides a level of coverage to the face without being heavy. This is not a full coverage powder foundation, so unless you have perfectly clear skin, or almost perfect skin, I don't recommend using it by itself as a lightweight powder foundation. I do have to use concealer first, in order to fully conceal my dark circles and other discolorations on my face, and then I use a brush to apply this powder all over my face thereafter. I have not experiencing any problems with it making my face very shimmery or looking like a greaseball before the end of the day, either. Also, I have not experienced it creasing, caking up, oxidizing, or doing anything weird on my face. So. I definitely will continue to buy it for sure.
I just wanted to further add that yes, this powder does go on matte, but not super matte. It also doesn't go on chalky and make me look, ashy either. After it ends up melting into my skin, it takes upon a very natural look, almost like a second skin. If you have combo, oily, or very oily skin, or even if you happen to live in a tropical climate, I would certainly recommend either wearing a mattifying primer on your face, on the areas where you get oily, whether it is in certain spots or all over the face. And, also, possibly adding a setting spray to your makeup regimen, that you can apply last to lock your makeup in place for a very extended period of time, without worrying about it constantly transferring on everything that touches your face, as well as, in order to keep ones face shine free and fresh looking for a very long period of time as well.
I was excited to try this powder but it is not that functional like other powder makeup. Most powder makeup's top cover has space to pour the powder to then use the brush to apply the makeup. This cover has a big circle component in the middle that makes it difficult to swirl/dip the makeup brush in. It's very messy.

I like the powder WHEN I can get it out of the container! So frustrated I may pitch it in the trash.

The Banana is great for covering up skin discoloration. I use it for running around. I apply primer, apply this all over my face & neck to satisfaction, dab a bit Hoola Lite bronzer on eyelids, a brown or gray eyeliner, mascara, & a hint of blush.

This powder is so light weight. I use the shade medium and I don't get any flashback or cakiness. It lightly sets my makeup and mattifies but my skin still looks like skin

I absolutely love this powder, i originally got the light shade but later realized i needed one shade up which light/ medium shade, it works great at setting under the eyes with my elf camo sponge, i love it! Amazing, and when you remove the shifter you have so much powder left over! This will last you a year for sure, a little goes w long way with this product.

Works Great After the Pan is Removed. Not sure what they were thinking when inserting that stupid pan in. You cant get any product out. After I removed it, it works great!

I've been using this setting powder for a month now and every single time I use it my make up wipes right off. This does not happen when I use other setting powders such as the L'Oreal or even Elf brand. Really wanted to love this but unfortunately it was a complete fail. Will be returning it.
Fabulous, Amazing! You need this! from New Jersey
Gosh this powder is amazing. I found it at Ulta almost a year ago and I loved it. It doesn't contain talc which is absolutely amazing. I'm highly allergic and needed a good powder, I bought the light shade thinking it would work but shortly realized I got the wrong shade, I'm more of a light/medium shade which is fabulous, once I got my correct shade, I was in heaven, I use it to set my under eyes, face and concealer. I love this and it's amazing. I've tried other powders but this is so light and not irritating at all. The sifter is great so I don't spill the powder everyday, I'm really clumsy and once you remove the sifter, you get a lot of powder underneath. This powder will last you a long time!

First off, I should preface this by saying I'm a cosplayer and a party princess!
I don't usually do makeup on a daily basis, But I need a powder that keeps my makeup on all day at an event! I originally used Nyx's Mineral Setting Powder, but the shade Light/Medium is too dark for my very pale skin! This one is perfect! My only reason for not putting it at 5-stars is that it's not as blurring as the mineral one which is mildly disappointing. But overall, I love it! One of the only powders that matches my pale skin and doesn't make me look orange!

the way the lid is made makes it almost impossible to use without making a huge mess.

It's alright. It doesn't last at all if you have oily skin

This powder is excellent. It goes on smoothly and works well with my foundation. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good setting powder.

Awesome price, used this for the first time and I will continue using it. Way cheaper than my old setting powder but has the same effect. Honestly I see no problem with the lid or packaging

So drying, prefer my makeup revolution powder
Kat from Moore, OK
Sooooo disappointing! It's a great product in an IMPOSSIBLE container! There's a huge protruding bump in the middle of the cap. Normally, you pour loose powder into the cap of the container and swirl our brush around in the product, yes? Absolutely cannot do that with this container. It's so messy and awful. Seriously, whose idea was this? Love the product, won't buy again, though. The cap makes it totally not worth it!
