Excellent but a little stickyI believe this is a new product because I've only just started seeing it around. I was lucky enough to find it on a BOGO special so picked up two and am glad that I did. I've avoided the Age Defying SPF30 bevause of the chemical sunscreen, and to my knowledge, this particular package doesn't contain the same chemicals (which usually make my eyes tear up madly; my eyes haven't been in despair recently, so I imagine it isn't in this line!). Directions say to ‚Äúapply liberally,‚Äù and I do, but I'm also left with a white sheen all day (which I don't mind, as I am already exceptionally pale so it actually corrects for any redness on me :)). I'm sure if I used a little less liberally or used under makeup, the white sheen wouldn't be a problem, but it is a little sticky, so I'm not sure how it would behave under makeup. HOWEVER, I humbly request that Andalou Naturals does NOT change the formulation of this sunscreen (unless they find out it doesn't work) because I LOVE it despite what others might consider ‚Äúflaws,‚Äù and the biggest sell for me is that it doesn't seem to contain the sunscreen chemicals that make my eyes sting and water. Please please please keep doing this as a Zinc only sunscreen with the added benefit of hemp oil and all the other wonderful plant-based additions found in your products!I Don't Think Most People Would Like ThisThis is great if you: are pale, have very dry skin, don't mind a heavy and greasy sunscreen, aren't sensitive to citrus oil and don't need your makeup to last very long. I fit that description, so it's okay with me, but I don't wear it when I have to wear a mask, because I know my makeup will transfer badly. I don't know why it says it is "sheer and lightweight" on the tube. It is neither of those things. That said, I don't dislike it. I just think there are a lot of reasons why people may not like it.

Moisturizing, dewy, soothing, noticable white cast

I use it daily and I love it... for me. I'm quite pale and pink, I wear balmy skin-tint products mostly, and im fine with dewy. I have combination sensitive skin and i hate smelling like sunscreen so this is a very gentle formula that i actually wear consistently which is the only really important thing about sunscreen. If all that sounds like you: this is inexpensive, comfortable, and effective. If you have deeper skin or different undertones, it might still work, but I'm willing to bet you'll want to color-adjust over it. If you abhore dewy or oily products, skip this. It does take powder just fine though. I just go easy on other moisturizer in the morning.

It's good but could be better

First off, this has a serious white cast. It's not just any white cast though, it has a purplish tint to it. Weird. I don't mind it since I'm pale myself and the white cast actually helps to reflect the sun, but just a heads up. Second, this is an extremely hydrating formula. Like on the verge of oily. I also don't mind it since I have dry skin. I've tried it under makeup and it works with certain foundations. Not all. The best thing about this sunscreen is that it doesn't sting my eyes! And it doesn't make me break out. My only real complaint is that it has some ingredients which are not that good. Starting off with phenoxyethanol and ending with citral,limonene,and linalool which could be irritating to some people so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars. Lastly, this is a thicker consistency so make sure to rub it in correctly.

this product always makes my skin look better if its feeling dry or breaking out. my doctor recommended using zinc lotions like this on my skin because they are moisturizing and healing. zinc is also what causes this lotion to leave a white cast, but i cover it with makeup. it sits really well under foundation and powder.
