First and foremost, I'dFirst and foremost, I'd like to say 'Thank You' to Influenster and Sexy Hair Concepts for sending me the Sexy Hair Cannabae Soothing Shampoo for the purposes of testing and review. I'd also like to say that I'm not just a consumer, but a pro hairstylist with many years experience working in the makeup and hair industry. Over the years, I've literally tried thousands of shampoos, conditioners and styling products claiming to be the ultimate stand out. In doing so, I've loved, lost and disliked them all. I know it seems harsh, but I really do have high expectations when it comes to salon grade hair products. I do color my long naturally curly/wavy/frizzy hair with permanent hair color: permanent color retouch level 2N at the roots and semi-permanent colored conditioner ( dpHUE Color Boosting GLOSS+ Deep Conditioning Treatment Cool Dark Brown 6.5 oz and black ) 3-4 times a year through the mid-shaft and ends. So using a Sulfate Free shampoo like Sexy Hair Cannabae Soothing Shampoo is similar to what I always go for. And indeed, this shampoo did not disappoint. It smells heavenly. Very floral and clean which I love. Yes, being a sulfate free shampoo has its disadvantages, for instance, it takes a good minute or two of scrubbing to create a decent lather. Afterwards, my hair and scalp felt clean and refreshed. I have itchy dry scalp in the winter so using a soothing product like this is what the salon ordered. I must say, not many shampoo products impress me, but the Sexy Hair Cannabae Soothing Shampoo sure did, and then some. Try it. This shampoo claims to soothe and calm you while promoting healthy hair from roots to end…I can vouch for the soothing and calming part but I'm not so sure about the promoting healthy hair part. I've been using this shampoo every other day and I find that it leaves my hair a little more oilier than usual. I fine, wavy hair and an oily scalp and usually wash my hair everyday if I can, but sometimes I can last 2 days, 3 days max before the oiliness and itch is too much, but with this shampoo, I start not feeling great about my scalp the next day. It feels like it leaves some residue on my hair after a wash. It does though, soften my hair quite nicely. I feel that although this claims to be good for all hair types, I think it will work better on people who have drier scraps due the way it's able to really hydrate your hair. Wish I could love this but this product is just not for me.

This is a nice shampoo. Your hair feels clean and healthy and not weighted down. The only thing I didn't like was the print on the container. It is really hard to read!!

I actually received this through Influence and used it myself for awhile. I have wavy hair and it was moisturizing and didn't strip my hair at all. After a month or so my 15 year old son started using it since it was in the shower and WOW did it do amazing things for his shoulder blade, fine, wavy hair. It has been much curlier and much less frizzy than it had been. He doesn't even use conditioner and it looks really good. I recommend this and will most likely buy it for him again when it runs out.

I really thought I'd love this shampoo because I love the Big Sexy hairspray and mousse, but I had to return it because my hair looked so bad after using it. My hair is thin, and this stuff just completely "weighed" my hair down no matter how little of it I used.
