The Kitsch Brown Bobby Pin Set is an everyday must have for securely holding hair in place during styling or to perfectly complete your coiffure.
My New Years resolution this year was to up my hair game. I have no time and zero hair styling ability. The last ten years of my life have barely included a hairbrush #pnwstyle #momlife. Think caught in a howling rainstorm, that's pretty much my signature hairstyle. Anyway, my quest took me to YouTube for some quick and easy hair styling tips. These bobby pins have been exactly what I needed to accomplish a "more put together" look. They blend in with my ultra light, blond hair, hold my very thin, fine, hair in place, all day, and don't bend out of shape easily. I'm an elementary school teacher. So, I needed something that would stay put no matter what the day would bring. Before buying these I tried out some cheap, dollar store, bobby pins. They were so flimsy that some of them stretched out and fell out before I left the house in the morning. I'm very happy with these bobby pins. They've helped me keep one of my resolutions. Now if they could only help me loose weight.
I regularly use pins in updos for my long fine thin hair, and I've tried a lot of brands. These visually looked great and had a nice weight to them, but since they were in a sealed bag I couldn't test out their open/close resistance before buying. Once I put these in my hair I had a very difficult time getting them out without ripping out strands of hair. I tried them in a few different hairstyles to see if they would work better in certain ways, but they ripped out my hair (with careful removal) during all uses. By the time I decided they weren't going to work, I had lost a few so I couldn't return them to the store. I think these would probably work really well in thick/coarse hair and would provide excellent holding power, but if you have fragile hair please be careful.
I love the color. However, they are the tightest bobby pins I have ever used. Since this is a review, I'll be honest, the pins are almost useless. They are so tight they were hard to put in my hair. In addition, the pins are difficult to reposition, and pulled my hair when I took them out. If you are looking for blond bobby pins, find another brand.
I have very fine hair and when I tried to open these to put them in they were twisting. I didn't think much of it but try to go ahead and put them in. Well I heard a ripping sound and stopped and looked down and there was a chunk of that these cut when I was trying to slide them in but then twisted just trying to push them in. not even trying to hold them open. so now I have to cut pieces of hair and I'm going to see about returning the bobby pins.
Perfect! Happy to have it in blonde!
These Bobby pins stay in the hair nicely. They match my blonde hair well and they do not break.
