Most Helpful Positive Review Did it wrong, then learned the tricks to doing it right! Well, I did a lot of research about the right at-home hard wax to purchase. After reading a lot of reviews my heart was actually set on the Gigi system, until I walked into Ulta and saw this was like $15. So I figured, what the heck, give it a shot.
Night one, I decide to test-drive it on my armpits. Try to get the learning curve out of the way before applying to my bikini line, right? So I heat it up (in my super charged huge microwave) full 90 seconds. I take it out, stir. Now here's where I made my first mis-step. The directions say that the wax is at the right consistency when it's 'like honey.' So, I buy the cheap honey that comes in a bear-shaped bottle- and 90 seconds plus me stirring got me right there. (For the comments that say it took much longer, dudes/dudettes, you have a low-powered microwave.)
So after I had heated and stirred, I washed and dried my pits. I didn't use baby powder this time- this was my second mistake. Long story short, bikini-wax virgin that I am, I accidentally overheated the wax, and I didn't prep the hair and skin by using baby powder. I just went for gusto, made a sticky mess, and got almost no hair.
Not realizing what I had done wrong- I thought "What a waste of money! This doesn't work at all!" Yeah... it was me. I only found this out because I gave it a second try today- and MAN what a difference.
This time, because I had less wax, I decided to only nuke it for 50 seconds, and then I let it sit in the microwave for a minute or two before I popped it out and stirred. My laziness didn't want to keep popping it in, so by the time I got to actually waxing, it was a MUCH thicker consistency than the night before. Think about those How Its Made videos of big machines that make candy- it really stretches but doesn't break, you know? NOT DRIPPY. It should be like warm mozzarella cheese that just began to cool- not syrup or honey.
Also this time, after I washed and dried, I threw on some baby powder and patted off the excess with a towel before I began. Again- this made a big difference.
Oh the hair I got with this wax once I started using it right. Holy... cow. And sure- it hurt- I did most of my bikini tonight- going to finish up tomorrow. But man- this product is pretty awesome- it got about 90-95% of the hair in any patch I placed.
So basically, I think people are giving this stuff bad reviews because they don't know what consistency to expect. I watched some videos before I embarked on my first trial, but the wax they were using was a much thinner consistency... but I noticed the people applying it REALLY worked it in and gave it time to set before taking it off. I think this is the key. If you're only going to wait like 30 seconds to pull off this wax- make sure it's the right consistency! It shouldn't pour like honey- it should stretch like melted cheese. And don't forget the baby powder! It really is essential. I definitely believe a lot of these bad reviews are caused by people not knowing how to use it right!
Most Helpful Critical Review Very hit and miss Hard waxes are typically marketed to people with "sensitive skin." If you fall into this category, run away. The "no strip" deal looks good on paper, but trying to pry up an edge of wax to pull on is painful. It was so hit and miss that it wasn't even worth the time (nearly 2 hours at least). You have to put it on REALLY thick to get it to work well (and when it works, it does a really good job), and I ended up using half the jar for just a single waxing. Still, it's not nearly what I would consider a decent Brazilian. I ended up going out and buying some muslin strips, and if you time it just right, they work perfectly (despite being made for soft wax). The wipes included don't remove the residue very well, so I ended up purchasing a bottle of azulene oil on top of it all. Still cheaper than going and having a $65 Brazilian done, but not worth the hassle. I'll try the original Nad's sugar wax or another product next time.

I bought this a few months ago and loved it. However like last month I bought 2 more and the consistency was TERRIBLE. it stayed tacky no matter how long I tried to let it dry and you can imagine the rest. Horrible if they changed something
Never shaving again! 5
Bianca from boston, ma
I have been using this product for months now and I am never going back to shaving. After a few tries, you get more used to how it works. It doesn't leave residue and if it does it's because the wax was taken off wrong. I haven't had any bad reaction nor has it cracked during the rip. Overall, really. good.
Wasn't great 2
Katheryn from Va
I've been exclusively waxing for almost two years now and this stuff just didn't do the job properly. I had to wax over the same spot 5-7 times and I would still have hair on the spot I'm waxing. I'm giving it 2stars because I'm trying to be nice and say I like the packaging lol
No more trips to the salon! 5
BadToTheBone from NH
I've been getting professional waxes for a few years, and my local salon increased their prices past the point I could afford, so I decided to try this as an alternative. I've tried soft wax at home before with disaster out results, but this was much easier. No strips - just apply, let dry, and yank as quickly as you can! I was able to do a full Brazilian in about 20 minutes with minimal mess, and very few hairs missed. I will ABSOLUTELY buy this again, and continue to do my own waxes on my own time. One tub will do two appointments worth of waxing for me, which saves me roughly $150, plus travel (i live in a rural area and my Waxer is 45 minutes away). If you have a quick wrist and have been waxing regularly, I'd strongly recommend giving this a shot.
Terrible don't buy 1

This was bad I applied as the directions said and no hair came up it hurt bad left a red mark on my area
Better than I expected 5
Meredith from Charlotte, NC
For anyone that's getting wax stuck on them it's because of their body's chemistry, not the wax itself. If you start sweating then of course it's gonna be hard to get off. This worked so much better than I expected and for the price - I'll never pay $50 to get a wax again.
It works but... 3
Filthyknave from North Little Rock
This product does work. It grips the hair and rips it out but a lot of the time it breaks when you pull it. More often than not I found myself stuck in a very sensitive area with wax all over and no handle of wax to grip to make the pull. The only wax I could grip had hair in it and stuck right against the skin and that really hurts. I didn't think the smell was bad.
It works!! 5

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure about buying but I went for it ,and I'm happy I did. I followed the directions and watched a couple of videos and I love the results.
The wax works, but the smell is god awful 4
Taylor from Indiana
I've been slowly shopping around for different types of waxes for my bikini area, and this was one of the first on my list. It's actually really great at pulling off the hair when you're using it right. But, my god, the smell after taking this thing out of the microwave should be downright criminal. Lots of chemicals, and probably isn't the best to inhale. I wanted to knock off two stars just for the smell, but it's too good at taking off my hair so it gets 4 stars.
Second I've tried 5
Melissa from New York
So easy to use! Gets the hair off. Doesn't hurt nearly as much as I expected.

Patchy Results HORRIBLE Smell 1
SailorMoonsault from Morgan Hill, CA
The wax refused to melt consistently after multiple tries and waiting for the heat to permeate. This resulted in the application being extremely messy and inconsistent in texture. The results were really patchy. I had to give up and just shave the rest. Not only that but it smells HORRIBLE. I didnt expect it to smell good but I was actually nauseous for a couple hours after because I couldn't get the smell out of my nose.
First time waxing! 5
Sabrina from Tulsa, OK
I have never waxed before so I bought this because it looked promising. I read the instructions and it was super easy. It definitely wasn't missing any hairs. I have very sensitive skin and it didn't seem to irritate it. It has a nice smell to it as well; smells like a Christmas tree.
Good do at home option 5
Tess from Cincinnati
I have tried other microwavable wax kits that have worked fine, but wanted to try something different. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and buy again myself! It was less painful and more effective that other products I have used in the past.
I would definitely buy this product again! 5
Megan M. from Charleston
This product is great. It's both affordable and effective.
Not really for sensitive skin 2
Jeanette B. from California
I was so, so dissapointed in this. Of course, given the name etc, you think this product would be great for sensitive skin. It's definitely not. Unlike most hard wax, this one would not completely harden, making it harder to pull off. It would come of in pieces, rather than the entire piece you spread on to the area. This made it hurt more than it would have if it came off in one piece On top of that, it very much irritated my sensitive skin, leaving it red for a few days after. I'm assuming other good reviews might be for arm/facial/leg areas. I did like how the wax was easy to heat up, but I would rather stick to shaving / hair removal cream on sensitive skin after using this product.
Super sticky and hard to remove 3
e from NC
This wax is extremely stick and I had a lot of trouble removing it. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone
Unfortunately will never be purchasing again! 2
Jackie from Long Island, NY
I have been getting Brazilian waxes for years. During quarantine i was dying for a wax so i decided to try this while i couldn't get one done. It was fine for the not so sensitive areas but once i got to anywhere else it just got stuck in the hair and was impossible to spread or remove! It got stuck to my skin and the hair and i knew to leave a piece up so it would be easy to pull but even so it was just stuck and i had to use the oil wipes to try to remove it and sat there for what felt like hours slowly trying to pull it off my skin and hair which was 10x more painful than even getting a wax to begin with. Then the next day i had an itchy rash where i used the wax which you can imagine how uncomfortable!! My skin is sore, red, bumpy, itchy and just plain uncomfortable. I have never ever had this reaction to a wax from the place i go to. Needless to say i will not be using this ever again.
I would buy again 5
Arzu from Houston
This was my first time using wax not only this wax in my 34.And if you follow the instructions it will definitely work. Was not that messy.I like this product I will order more.
this stuff works 5
k from texas
although yes it does take a little longer to heat up than said in the directions (idk why everyone thinks that's a big deal) it does what it's supposed to. but it can get sticky on your finger tips so be a little careful (residue is also not an issue after using the calming oil wipes that come with it). do SMALL patches like it says and if you haven't been waxed before you probably shouldn't do it by yourself the first time.
YOU WONT REGRET BUYING THIS!! 5
Shelbi from Bay City Mi
This is AMAZING and beginner friendly. Makes your under arms baby smooth and you won't have to wax again for atleast 2 weeks which is a long time considering I had to shave every other time I showered. Definitely read the instructions carefully. This was a trial and error process for me. My biggest tip is to make sure you wait until the wax is cooled off enough where it's thick and doesn't drip off the sticks and make sure you coat is thick. I love this product, try it!!
Never Buy Again 2
NYCLady from New York Coty
This stuff made my hair so thick. My pits were really nice and until I tried this stuff. It was okey for the lower leg but it can get messy, dries too quickly, and takes forever to heat up.
It's okay 3
Ems13 from Indianapolis
First time using this product. I think it hurts less than using wax strips/wax papers. It's also very gentle on the skin, which I like. But is very hard to use. Trying to get it to just the right temperature is challenging. The wax has to be just the right consistency. It's also difficult to remove the wax. The directions said to leave a bit curled up at the end for a easier pull, but it didn't work that well. Also the wax does get every where
Pretty good 4
Jane from Chicago
The quality of the wax was really nice in the sense that it pulled out all of the hairs, but it did leave a bit of residue behind on the area. I also noticed that the instructions say to heat it up for 1 minute if it's full and 30 seconds if it's partially full. I had to heat the wax up for 3 minutes full and 2 minutes partially full to get it to liquify. Overall would purchase again.
an unforgettable experience 3
girl from san ramon, california
i am very familiar with waxing my face (eyebrows, upper lip area, etc.) abs regularly shave down there, but i decided to try something new. maybe i am not used to the hard wax process as i normally use strip wax but this hurt bad. the upper bikini area was fine and so if you plan on using this product just for the perimeter i would highly recommend it. however, as i moved on to more sensitive areas, the pain was unbearable and the wax got stuck. it also took about 5 minutes to warm up, not 60 seconds as the package recommended. it does grab a lot of hair however i found myself going over the same area more than once to remove all of the hair. for somebody who is more experienced with hard wax in sensitive areas, i'm sure this would be a great product, but it was not the best fit for me.
