New style stain, not dry matte late 2000'sFirst let me say if you're expecting a lip stain that works like the ones around 2005-2010, this is not it. The old style where the applicator was like a marker or lip gloss, dried quickly, & matte is not how this works. The product applies like a lip gloss & is intended to hydrate & add shine like normal lip gloss, while leaving a matte stain when it wears off. Some of the new tints feel thick or oily like most lip glosses & some have slip. This is a hydrating slip like type. I have 2 colors & overall they're great. When you apply this, it immediately makes your lips feel moisturized, almost like they're immersed in a layer of cool water. It's thin like water & you can build it up. It is shiny, but more layers mean more of a wet look, not a heavy silicone covering. More layers mean a darker, brighter, longer lasting stain when the shine wears off. The shine lasts a few hours. It will transfer some until the shine goes away. You don't need lip liner with this unless you want to overline your lips to prevent migration. If you aren't overlining, it's better not to bother because you don't want there to be something blocking the tint from staining your skin. Like the old style stains, mix a tiny amount with moisturizer or foundation for blush & tap it on or blend carefully.Very torn about this productI want to love this so much. I am absolutely obsessed with the feel, color and look. It glides on, it is hydrating, it's very buildable. The shade "Daring" on my skin tone means I can add a very light layer and it looks like I'm not wearing anything or I can build it to a bolder lip. The only con I have is it DOES NOT LAST, I have wore this as a daily lip for a month now. I can apply and it is completely gone in 10 minutes, even without eating or drinking. My tube is empty after a month of daily use because I have to reapply so often. I want to buy again because even with it not lasting I still love the feel and look but I think the tube is too expensive for the product. You don't get enough wear from it for the price.

I'm surprised how many people actually love this stuff. It looks good when u put it on. But it almost feels too wet. And it disappears so fast it's crazy! I have thin lips (I need injections asap!) and I think that might make it feel weird. Idk.

I've tried a number of these and the browns and reds are great! I even like the smell. The peachy pink was SO disappointing. No coverage and slimy.

currently pregnant with my first baby. So somewhere along the line I lost this Lippy in the color daring, and wanted to purchase again. it stated that it was vegan so I was in the process of buying when I looked at the warning ⚠️. it is known to have ingrediants that may cause cancerrrrr!! so just be aware of that before purchasing 😰. guess it was lost for a good reason....
