Most Helpful Positive Review Hard to believe how good this stuff is I stayed at a nice hotel last night in Covington, KY, and they had this dark looking set of products in the bathroom. I had not seen or heard of Grown Alchemist products before, and always take my own, known good, products for lotion, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner, but I was curious about this stuff so I tried the Body Cleanser, figuring if it did not work out, I had my own version along anyway. Out of the bottle it is like a gel, not a liquid, and I took maybe a half inch of it in my hand and tried it on my face, and wow. It felt so good going on, and left my skin feeling so smooth and clean, yet not dry at all, that I was quite impressed and determined that this product must be the best body wash type product I have tried. I have not technically even purchased any yet, just used it in a hotel room while attending a convertion.....but I will be purchasing some, as soon as it is back in stock. Great product, can't wait to try out the rest of the 'travel set' that this hotel had purchased for use by their guests. Great hotel, and even better product by Grown Alchemist....and I never thought I would review a product, positively no less, before even buying any! But this stuff is great, and will be a welcome addition to the bathroom.
Most Helpful Critical Review Save Your Money! I purchased this online a few months ago, and was disappointed as soon as I opened my package. First off, whoever packs up the shipments for Ulta really needs a refresher course on how to do their job, because my poorly packaged bottle blew open during transport, and covered the other items in my order with expensive, foul smelling soap. In a way though, I'm sorta grateful for the error... At least I didn't have to figure out that I hate the scent after covering my entire body in it. Needless to say, I definitely wouldn't recommend this product. That is, unless you WANT to smell exactly like a pile of old, wet grass clippings.

The cleaner formulation was changed over the past year, and the current cleanser does not lather. It feels like using a non-foamy gel on your body. It takes 4-5 pumps per shower to clean. I tried a couple of different bottles to see if this was a "one off" and if Grown Alchemist would revert to their old formulation, but the change looks to be permanent.

I found this body wash to be a bit drying. It just felt like normal body wash, which didn't cut it for me at this price point. I really like the face wash from this line but this cleanser didn't work well for my body. Also I had to get this sent to me twice because the first bottle had spilled all over the mailer. The second bottle was packaged the same way (not well) and leaked as well but not as badly. Ultimately I returned it anyway.

Looks pretty in my shower, smells incredible and feels nice when you use it. But I like body cleansers that actually clean (this does - check) and don't leave a film (this does - X) nor leave skin feeling stripped (this does not - check). There IS a happy medium and unfortunately, this was not it for me.

This product smells great. I was disappointed in the lather. You have to use a lot of product to get clean. The product also does not work well with a loofah. it just doesn't build the kind of suds I was looking for. I'll use the rest of this bottle, but I can't recommend it to others because it's too expensive for what you're getting.

I initially purchased this body wash because Emma Watson claimed to love it in one of her interviews so I decided to splurge and give it a try! I've been using it for several weeks now and WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE how much I LOVE this cleanser!!! The smell is lovely and it feels wonderful on the skin. It's vegan and free of artificial fragrances and dye. It doesn't irritate the skin and is non stripping. Would definitely recommend!
