I've spent the last 3 yrs looking for a blue shampoo that works without crippling my hair. I can say for certainty that John Frieda's Blue Crush for Brunettes Shampoo/Conditioner works almost instantly! After one wash, I was able to see my dull/brassy hair from the incredibly harsh water that we have was immediately darker and more vibrant. We move a lot due to my husband's job; since moving to the northeast, my once beautiful shiny brunette locks (natural hair color—no coloring) started to fade and developed this orange hue. From there, strands started to turn into a metallic brass color. Sometimes when the light hit just right, these strands are so shiny they can appear like gray hair. It's so embarrassing! They're also course in nature—not like my once soft luscious locks. In other words, even after just one wash, the difference in my hair color is amazing! Only negative is that it can be a bit drying; however, a deep treatment fixes that immediately. This is a product with results!
I was expectinga better product from John Frieda. I applied the conditioner right after rinsing the shampoo out of my hair I and left it on for a few minutes. It's not as bluish as the shampoo. And, like the shampoo, it didn't work for me. After a week, my hair still had a reddish tinge, as usually, but it was brittle and there was a lot of breakage. I'm not happy at all with how my hair feels or looks.

I got this to pair with the shampoo, it's definitely not as crazy blue colored as the shampoo since it has a creamier and lighter texture so it's no where near as messy as the shampoo. I think both products work well together, my hair feels and looks nice and clean after each use. The scent isn't overpowering and smells good so overall I'm happy and will definitely repurchase

I have been looking for a product that would take the brassy tone out of my brunette hair and finally found one. I noticed a difference just in two washes. I definitely would recommend and we'll be buying in the future.

I really love product! The conditioner smells great and keeps hair soft. It works well will the Blue Crush Shampoo to get rid of the brassiness in my brunette hair. It only took two uses before I saw a difference. Will definitely be buying this in the future.

This product is definitely blue, however it does decrease the brassiness in my hair and prevent my kids newly done highlights from getting brassy. It smells great and softens hair. The blue makes it easier to see when they haven't fully rinsed it out of their hair, however, i was told later in the day one day that my ear had a blue spot. Make sure you fully rinse!

Saw overall improvement of the orange tone that brown hair tends to get. My hair was left feeling soft, but not heavy.

This conditioner worked well. My hair is always dried out from chemical processing . When I used the conditioner it left my hair silky soft , smooth, and moisturized.

A drugstore option for brunettes to knockout orange tones. I saw cooler, brighter results within just 1 wash— as advertised. This formula has crushed blue pigments which combats even the most stubborn orange tones. Also moisturizes and does not leave hair feeling dry & brittle! Many times it is hard to find a toning shampoo catered to brunettes and brassy orange— they are all purple shampoos. Many people mistakenly use purple shampoos on brunettes to try and remove brass when in reality a BLUE tone counteracts ORANGE brass because they are opposites. This shampoo conditioner set packs a punch and you can definitely see results after the first wash. Do not over use these toning shampoos (1x weekly) or it will continually deposit color and make your salon color blocky and lose any highlights or dimension. But it is wonderful for a freshen up weekly! Smells of blueberry vanilla, sort of like black currant? Leaves hair moisturized without having to use an additional product.

This conditioner smells great and left my hair feeling oh so soft! It definitely gave a new shine that I needed. My hair had been looking dull and now I can wait another week to get my hair dyed. Would highly recommend this since other shampoos leave your hair dry and brassy.

Heavenly smell, makes hair smooth as silk, doesn't stain skin and towels, eliminates red, brassy undertones.

Love this new John Frieda Blue Crush for Brunettes Conditioner for toning down the brassiness of my brown highlighted hair. My hair pulls red when colored which bugs me so I always use a toning system at home that includes shampoo and conditioner in purple. This beautiful color blue version gave me a noticeable change and lessened the redness while leaving my hair silky smooth and moisturized.

I have tried many blue pigment shampoo for brunette colored hair and I really did like this. It helped brighten my highlights that tend to get brassy and dull. It doesn't change the hair color by any means it just makes the highlights look fresher. I would recommend this.

I loved the smell of this! I didn't notice any color changes as I didn't have very much brassy tones in my hair, but still love this product. It came out super smooth with no clumps or bumps, and had a great consistency. My hair looked and smelled great after using this.

I was chosen to test the new "John Frieda Blue Crush for Brunettes". Right away I noticed a lot of claims on the label of this product, here are just a few; "Results in 1 wash", "Neutralizes stubborn orange tones in 1 use for cooler, brighter brunette", contains "crushed blue pigments", and "Specially designed for highlighted brunette hair" I have brunette hair with highlights so this shampoo was perfect for me. I have never used a "blue" shampoo before only a "purple" shampoo. I can absolutely testify that all the labels claims are true. My highlights instantly cooled down with 1 wash and my hair felt amazing after use. I have used "purple" shampoo sets in the past and my hair typically cools down and the color is neutralized but my hair is often left dry and in need of an extra treatment after my wash. This product is much better in comparison. My hair was silky soft after using and smelled great. This product is made of high quality ingredients and definitely worth its cost.
