If you have fine, pin straight hair like me, especially if it's long, I don't think this product will do much more for you then make your hair dry and hard to detangle. This product is great if you want your hair to have that wavy beachy look. It did not leave a crunchy residue on my hair and helped my hair stay frizz free. The packaging is cute and in a very easy to use pump. The instructions are clear and easy to use on damp hair.

I really enjoyed using this texturing foam on my curls. I've always felt like leave-ins weigh down my curls but mousse doesn't give enough hold and I think this foam is the perfect balance. It is lightweight and doesn't leave a sticky residue. I really love. It.

info about me for reference: natural (mostly 2a/b) waves with the occasional rogue curl, medium porosity, fine/medium diameter, not dyed or chemically treated. i also prefer a less defined look. before i tried this product out, i used the kristin ess sea salt air dry mousse and i loved it thoroughly. right as i got done with my last bottle of that, i had found out that NYM was making virtually the same product except slightly cheaper and with UV/heat protection. i had to give this a shot! this product gives the texture you'd want from NYM's texturizing sprays, but it's way more forgiving if you accidentally use a little too much. if you struggle with the sprays but still want extra texture, i would totally recommend this. also i love the scent. you can't go wrong with a little coconut and vanilla :) i first bought this product back in august 2025. for reference, i live in NJ and am **very** outdoors during summer, where it is typically very hot and pretty humid. this foam worked excellently for me back then. now, however, as i'm typing this, it's almost december. i'm still outside a lot, except now it's really cold and dry out. i've been noticing this foam has been having a slight, but not overwhelming drying effect on me lately. i have used the kristin ess mousse during winter before and did not have this happen to me. combine that with this product's emphasis on the UV/heat protection aspect, honestly it kinda makes sense to me that this product would work better during summer. i like to think this foam was made specifically with "beach babes" in mind because of that, lol

This is a great product! I put it in the hair after the shower and air dry it. It leaves the perfect beach waves. Depending on hair texture it can be more or less curly.
