I tried this as an exclusive at Ulta. I'm so glad the BM store now offers it too. It makes my skin look literally flawless. My complexion looks amazingly smooth. I recommend going to a store near you to find the right match. It took only 5 minutes for me to find a match by testing out a streak on my jawline and neck. I've tried many many foundations and this is the first time I got a perfect color match. I had issues with powders in the past where they would get cakey or make my skin look dry or streaky. This one doesn't have that issue and it lasts all day. You can choose to dust a light layer or you can layer up for more coverage. If you are combination skin type like me, I recommend using a mattifier beforehand in the t-zone area. This will help the foundation glide on more smoothly without the caking. I'm so glad this product came out because I was using Complexion Rescue™ Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream, which is amazing, but takes a lot of effort to apply. This is much easier for my fast lifestyle. Using the new skincare system (which I was really reluctant to switch to at first) kept my complexion really smooth and clear so applying a thin layer of makeup is all that is needed. I used a regular buki brush and it does create more waste so I think I'll try out the core coverage brush to see if it's better. I did take away a star for the talc ingredient. Otherwise, it's nearly perfect.

I can't tell you how much it breaks my heart to say this but I am disappointed not only in this foundation, but in the Bare Minerals brand for compromising their beliefs in making it. I have genuinely liked all Bare Minerals foundations and have been using them exclusively for over a decade. I gladly use strictly Bare Minerals products on all my clients and have converted 8 people to the brand. The Bare Minerals brand always meant quality ingredients, no suspicious or unnecessary ingredients, helpful protection from the sun, and coverage that is buildable and looks incredibly natural. Not only does this foundation have no SPF, but it contains talc! The Ready SPF 20 foundation proved that you can have a great-looking pressed powder foundation without sacrificing quality. The fact that this is replacing Ready makes me genuinely sad. To add insult to injury, Bare Minerals no longer makes moisturizer that contains SPF in it either, so you can't even compensate for the loss of the SPF in the foundation that way. The coverage of this is also medium to full, so if you want light coverage you're out of luck if you want a Bare Minerals pressed foundation now. The same is true if you prefer a natural finish foundation like the Ready foundation as opposed to this being more matte. The good things I can say about this foundation are it is smooth to apply and your skin's texture looks smooth with it on. The foundation does last a long time as well. On the whole though, if you are a Bare Minerals devotee like me and love the original principles the company was founded on, skip this foundation. I'll be giving this one away.

This is the perfect shade for me. I love the fact it's in a compact instead of loose powder. The puff included works great for application. The coverage is ok, however it is somewhat buildable.
Finally the perfect take-along compact!

Touch ups, at home and away, especially after mask going up and down has left morning application of the original powder foundation in need of refreshing.
I would purchase this product again.

I like how the representative helped me find a powder that worked for me. She asked questions and matched me with an excellent product.
Love this Foundation! Get the Beautiful Finish Brush!

I am a longtime BareMinerals user but this is the first foundation of theirs I've tried; I generally use a tinted moisturizer from Paula's Choice and am happy with it, just wanted to try something new. I grabbed this during 21 Days of Beauty, and after using it for about 2 weeks I was about to return it---I'm glad I didn't! Why was I about to return it? Although I read reviews that said GET THE BEAUTIFUL FINISH BRUSH TO USE WITH THIS (and I did), I was hesitant to actually USE the brush because of the $$. Meanwhile, I was using the sponge that came in the compact with the foundation. BIG MISTAKE! The foundation was going on way too heavy with the sponge. The day I decided to switch to the brush, I noticed an improvement immediately. With the brush, I had just the right amount of coverage. Voila! And, let me tell you, the brush feels ah-mazing on the skin. It's such a treat to use everyday. So, long story short, this foundation is great but the Beautiful Finish brush is a MUST!
Worse than baby powder.

This was just a fail in every way. Little to no coverage. Creates random clumps and flakes on my face. Settled in pores. Very itchy. I don't understand how I paid money to look worse.
I love this powder! So natural
Elle from Atlanta, Ga
I use this product when I want to look extra even lol. It's perfect for everyday use to have a beautiful natural flawless look.
Why add Talc?!
Mandy from Buffalo, NY
I've been using this for quite a while now. I, of course, stocked up during 21 DOB and when I started using the first one my skin was turning really red and breaking out. I couldn't figure out why. Of course they added Talc. Why would you do that Bareminerals?! This needs to now be taken off the "clean" list.
talc added & is horrible
Jennifer from Chattanooga TN
They changed the formula and added talc, which made my face break out in an allergic reaction. I used the old formula for years with no problem. I had to return the stash I bought while they were on sale and now have to find a new powder foundation.
Best compact product ever!

Love how this product makes my complexion look flawless. For me it is a full coverage product that I have used for years and will continue to use.

Easy to apply

Product consistency was not what I had imagined. It was a very heavy powder and chalky. Disappointed with the amount of money I spent on it.
Not for me

Truly didn't work, didn't last, didn't do what it was supposed to do.. foundation separated and creased after a few hours, only, on my combo skin. it looked awful. maybe it works for drier skin. the color matched well, but I would not purchase it again. I'll try to wear it again in the winter.
Vonmac from Washington DC
First off I want to say the only reason why I am giving this 4 stars is because the coverage for a powder foundation takes a lot of product to build up. But on top of a light coverage product this is beautiful!! I thought it would be too matte or drying but it's actually a beautiful luminous coverage. It blurs the pores nicely. This wears beautifully too!! It's long lasting even in the heat!! I think by itself though the coverage is minimal. Overall this really perfects the skin!
Love this product

I am not, repeat not, a bare minerals fan. For years their foundations appeared yellow on my skin. Ulta had the new bare pro compact for 1/2 price during the September Days of Saving. I originally went in for a Two Faced compact. The sales associate, Nicole, suggested this. We tried on several shades but two were spot on. It feels very soft upon application. It blends right into your skin's own color. It perfects the skin, hides some redness but some character of your skin is still faintly visible (in my case freckles). I'm a nurse and even with mask and shield it lasts all day - doesn't get powdery, sit in lines or get greasy. I went back and bought the second color at FULL price. Its that good!
New but good so far

Got this last week and so far very good. coverage is good.

I was so excited to finally try this but I was majorly disappointed. I applied in the morning and by early evening it was cakey and patchy. It looked awful and I'm embarrassed to have been seen like that. I had no idea it looked that bad until I passed by a mirror. Yikes!!!

I normally use liquid foundation, but i am a busy mom now and need a powder foundation for a quicker makeup in the morning.
I found this on the 21 days sales and omg, it gave me a airbrush effect, the coverage is medium but buildable.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to prep and moisture your skin well before apply it.
Yessica from Phx, AZ
Upon first use I knew this was a special product! I'm not a die hard bareminerals user, but this is worth it- flexible shade range (you can go lighter or deeper slightly and it'll work still), doesn't emphasize pores or pimples, blurs skin, weightless on the skin, and just overall perfects your skin so well! It's not the highest cover, it's a powder after all, but the coverage it high, builds well, and evens your flaws out so so well. Also, it looks great in selfies/pictures.

Just bought this during the Ulta sale. This is literally the best powder I have ever used. Great coverage. Covers my shine. Gives me a luminous complexion even while being matte and natural. I don't think I need to wear liquid foundation anymore. This will now be my forever go to.

I'm confused why talc is being used in this.
Beautiful soft matte finish

I love this powder because you can wear it alone and still get a full coverage. It lasts throughout the day and absorbs oil. I also like that its light weight and doesn't dry out my skin.
Be careful if you have rosacea or sensitive skin
Dawn from Virginia
I have been using Bare Minerals face powder since my first rosacea breakout about 20 years ago. A dermatologist recommended it to me. So glad I did. It helped with my skin and it became soft and rosacea free. So when this came out...I tried it. It was fantastic coverage which lasted all day and made your face look so smooth. Within 2 days, I had a patch of red dots on my cheeks which then spread to my forehead and chin, and my skin became extremely dry. I went to the dermatologist and they said it was allergies. Stopped using it for a few weeks then tried it again. It was so much worse on the first day. I went to the Dr. again and they gave me medicine for rosacea this time. After 20 years of no breakouts. Nothing else changed in my daily routine, only the new makeup. Now my face is clear again after several trips to the doctor. What a fool I was to not look at the ingredients first. Talc is the 1st ingredient. I am so upset with Bare Minerals to use an ingredient that they spoke down on so many years ago. Shame. But please be careful for those with rosacea. After a clear face for 20 years, it took 3 tries of the makeup and several doctor appointments to make it right again. I went back to their original face powders and my face looks great again. Love Bare Minerals but NOT the Barepro Performance Wear. Horrible.

I just left the store, tried this on, and immediately came to give a positive review. It sits on your skin so flawlessly and looks so natural. And it's not sheer, but full coverage. Can't wait to see how it stands the test of time and my oily skin!

I have too much makeup in my arsenal. What can I say, I'm a junkie. I've repurchased this 4 times since I tried it. That's all you gotta know ;)
