Most Helpful Positive Review good for light makeup wear This mascara has a special brush which is shaped thinner in the middle and wider along the outsides. I found it was just typical to put on though. I will say that the formula is a little clumpy and so needs more working to get on eyelashes smoothly. The end result is somewhat casual day makeup style (see photo with mascara on left and none on right, so you can see changes are subtle). It has good staying power and washes off easily. I would recommend for a light-to-no makeup style look.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not A Mascara for Me Horrible brush design! I suppose someone thought it would be cute to make the brush into somewhat of the shape of a bee hive. The neck of the bottle is also so tight that if rakes most of the mascara off the poorly designed brush back into the bottle so there is very little to apply. What little bit is on this awkward brush goes on in clumps and is impossible to comb it through. This was a waste of my money! I'm only hoping I can somehow salvage the contents by using an old brush, or maybe crack open the container, use a butter knife and scrape the contents onto an old tube/brush container that I have saved from better brands. I was looking forward to getting this product, now and extremely disappointed.

I really like this mascara, where other brands make my eyes itchy at times, this one never has. It also has a nice smell to it!
But because of how the brush is shaped, when it goes back in the tube, a lot of the product comes off on the top, then causing some to leak out when you put the lid back on.

Switched to this mascara recently and was very disappointed. I love that it has natural ingredients however, the mascara is very clumpy and the brush causes a large build-up on the tube.

I really wanted to try this mascara in brown black because someone had said that brown was a game changer. Turns out that it's very natural looking. I did not have trouble with clumping like some of the other reviews said. It went on very smooth and I had to wait for it to dry down a bit to build on it. It will not build dramatic without clumping. I'm fine with that as I can use other mascaras if I want drama. I like the natural look I get from this mascara. The only problem is that it is not waterproof. That being said, I will still buy it again in the future.

I love Burt's Bees products so was keen to try this mascara. Generally speaking, I do not buy volumizing mascara as I do not need volume, just color on my light lashes. This mascara takes a bit to make it work for me and I do have to comb my lashes after to smooth away any clumps, but I am left with quite a nice look. No flaking problem for me. If they made a product that was more about definition and less about volume, I would buy it.

After giving up all of my makeup with horrible chemicals, I was thrilled to find this mascara. This product works as well as my Too Faced did and without all of the worrisome ingredients. And I love the wand!

I was excited to try the Burt's Bees all a flutter mascara. I have enjoyed many different Burt's Bees products. That being said, after several uses, I became very disappointed with the way this mascara flaked off into my eyes shortly after application...it has caused irritation to my eyes, making them bloodshot.

I first tried this mascara as a alternative to Mac. Not only does it apply really smooth but it doesn't look too dramatic. Also it wears all day with no smudging.

I was excited to try a natural mascara on my very pale lashes. I liked the color which is not too dark for my complexion and hair color, and the mascara is easily removed. As a previous review mentioned, the brush is lacking. It was getting mascara on my lids above the lash line and also below my lower lashes, and I was applying three coats. So I also tried a wand from another mascara brand and it worked perfectly!
Please think about changing the wand to make this a 5 star product!

I bought this mascara because I was excited that it was mostly "natural ingredients", however every time I use it my eyes turn red, they burn in a painful way and my eyes tear up. I really wanted to love this product and make it my go to mascara. No other mascara irritates my eyes like this. Please be careful when choosing this product.

I honestly wouldn't recommend. As soon as you put it on it clumps horribly. I have to take a lash wand and brush my lashes so they don't look clumped together.

I had this mascara on for maybe 30 minutes. When my eyes watered a little bit from laughing, it got into my eyes and burned horribly. Imagine cutting a super strong onion close to your face. Basically the equivalent.

I love this mascara, it gives me lush, long and full lashes. I wait about 30 seconds between coats and wiggle my brush the second time. I find with two coats my lashes look perfect. This mascara washes off beautifully with soap and water and leaves your lashes soft and conditioned.

I actually like this mascara better than the I**a natural luxury brand. This formula holds a curl more consistently and does not flake or smudge even after many hours of wear. There is no irritation for me. The wand is not my favorite as it does tend to gather at the tip; however, it separates very well and minimal/no clumping.

I was excited about this mascara, but that did not last long. Although I really like the product, the brush is poorly designed. The brush shape makes it difficult to get all lashes--especially in the corners. The brush also does not provide good coverage--requiring me to put on more coats of mascara. I would buy this product again if BB will redesign the brush.

i wanted a brown mascara to wear on my "no makeup" days that looked semi natural. this did exactly that, but if my eyes watered or the mascara got into my eyes, it BURNED so horribly. worse that any tingle i've gotten from other mascaras in my eye. i had to throw it away after several failed attempts to keep it on for more than a couple hours. terrible pain.

I love mascara. To say I hated a mascara is a stretch for me but this one was horrible. I loved the tube size and the length of the wand but the brush is so tightknit that it literally goes over your lashes it doesn't seperate or volumize or do much at all. Not only that but the hole where the wand comes out of is tiny so when you pull the wand out the product all comes out too and sits around the opening. The formula itself is dry and flaky. I had high expectations going in because I love burt's bees products but I was very disappointed with this one.

I like to wear a small amount of make up for every day use while working or running errands. I really liked this mascara because it's very light weight and it is easy to build upon. It doesn't clump and I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that it didn't flake up. I did find that it was a little hard to build a ton of drama onto my lashes, this mascara is good for more of a natural softer look. I love the fact that it's made with natural ingredients and doesn't contain any harsh smells.

I loved this so much! It was a dark brown and I can add a couple layers to build up without it looking so chunky in my lashes. Didn't smear all day when I applied it so the longevity is awesome and doesn't have a weird smell the applicator is super easy to get on.
