Apply using Ouidad's Rake & Shake technique. Divide damp hair into sections. Rake a nickel-size amount of gel through each section, using fingertips to seal and smooth the cuticle from roots to ends. When finished, hold the ends of hair in each section and shake to create curls. Let hair air-dry or blow-dry with a diffuser.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This gel makes my hair look and feel so soft while keeping curls defined and frizz controlled. While it does feel sticky and greasy in my hands, it dries silky smooth in my hair for a natural, soft curl. It is a really good price for the quality of the product. The only thing I don't love about it is the smell—it smelled a bit strongly of chemicals to me in application but dried it is much more mild and pleasant. I air dry my hair and loved the result.

However it is does have a very hard cast that will need to be scrunched out if wanting a softer result. I did find it also leaves behind a white cast which can be frustrating and resulted in having to wash it out. May be better suited for slick backs.

I used it after the shower and my hair was still frizzy afterwards. [I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I was so hopeful for Ouidad's Advanced Climate Control Gel since I live in a very humid area and wanted to tame my frizz and keep my curls/waves defined. Applying was good because my hair didn't feel crunchy like it usually does when I use gel. I used a generous amount in my hair. I finger combed it and my hair felt lightweight and shiny. I air dried my hair and then an hour later, my hair started to look super dry and dull in certain areas. And the frizz started to make an appearance. This was still the morning before the humidity was out in full force. Once I got to work the frizz is noticeable (pictured), but it wasn't too bad. As the day progressed, it got worse. By the night, my hair was frizzy and was getting tangled (curls/waves were a jumbled mess). I had to constantly finger comb my hair throughout the day to keep it somewhat manageable. It could be my hair that makes it difficult to tame or maybe I need to put even more product on, but my results were disappointing and the good was short-lived. It does help a little with the frizz (as my hair does get worse without product), but was hoping it to last longer.
