How To Use

Wet hair and apply generously onto scalp. Massage into roots for 1-2 minutes.

One Month InAs stated in the headline, I've used this product for a month and I am thrilled to the point of sitting down to write this review! As the transition into winter-time started I noticed my scalp FREAKED out. I found myself with a dry, itchy scalp and I felt like my "hydrating" shampoo was just covering up the problem and creating more build-up. I had done some reasearch online and this was one of the recommendations so I went in store to pick it up. It's $9 and I probably could have used a coupon but the price was worth it because you get a lot. The first week I used this product twice, now I use it once a week at the beginning of the week for maintenance. I recommend the following: 1)Get hair damp and then generously lather the product on. The more you scrub the easier it rinses out. 2)After lathering the product for about 2-3minutes, let it sit 3) Rinse, then lather on regular shampoo 4) Rinse throughly I tried to use this product alone but found that I still needed to use shampoo afterwards to really clean and rinse out the product. You may find that you have some small "beads" leftover but it's not impossible to rinse out. Think of it like apricot scrub for your scalp.Would not purchase againI wanted to absolutely love this product, but it's falling flat for me, unfortunately. It smells lovely and the price is great, but instead of removing buildup, I ended up feeling like I had more when I got out. I tried everything to properly rinse my scalp off but the little exfoliating beads will not budge. I don't think I'll be able to use it again unless I can figure out a method for rinsing really intensely. I tried submerging my hair in the water, using a cup to rinse it, and using my shower head on varying levels of intensity and water pressure (it's handheld and I tried using it right on my scalp too) NOTHING seemed to work. It got rid of some of it but not all and it's so annoying to run my hand through my hair only to feel the exfoliating beads still there. Grab a different product off the shelf. This one leaves behind more gunk than it takes away. Disappointing.

Does the job but…

It's just really thick. I highly recommend a scalp brush to go with it. The smell is nice and it works well on my husbands psoriasis.

This product helps with my dry scalp and makes the shampoo clean better. It also removes product residue. It last long because you don't need a lot. This is a repurchase for me.

This is a winner for an oily scalp

I love this stuff. I did not have any issues getting the beads out of my hair, I did wash thoroughly after I used it, but they came out just fine when I shampooed. I have an oily scalp and have a hard time going more than every other day washing and this really made my scalp feel clean and removed ALL the excess oil - I was able to go for 3 days and on the end of day 3 it felt like it usually feels at the end of day 1. If you have and oily scalp, give this a try, it did wonders for me!

Extremely Drying!!

This scrub stripped my hair and scalp of all moisture and left it raw and irritated!! A lot of hair came out after using it one time!! Scrubs are supposed to have moisture while cleaning to prevent this from happening!! Terrible product- I returned it!! Shame because there aren't a lot of clean options out there.

Was skeptical about the scrubbing beads thought I would have a hard time rinsing out my thick curly hair but product rinsed right out and got the excess oil that's sometimes left whenever I used other shampoos I followed up with the shampoo and conditioner from this charcoal line and my goodness never seen my curls pop and hair was so butter soft
