Most Helpful Positive Review Great for every-day use I have tried just about every foundation that Ulta has to offer and this one has been one of the most natural-looking foundations for my skin type. Since I was about 12 (i'm 23 now) I have struggled with acne-prone, oily skin and I have yet to find the perfect foundation, although this one, and a few others, are close. With this foundation, I simply wash my face in the morning, moisturize, and apply the foundation with a make-up sponge ( the Clinique consultant told me not to use primer so the salicylic acid can treat my skin). It goes on very lightweight and looks super natural (doesn't sink into pores, lines, or cake up around the nose area). My only concern is the separation and patchiness that I have seen around my chin area after wearing the foundation for a few hours, but I think that may be from the acne cream that I am using to treat my breakouts in that area. The other areas of my face stay perfectly smooth. Another issue that I have noticed with Clinique is that their foundation can have an orange tint if you're not careful with the color match. I would recommend getting a shade lighter and darkening the forehead and cheeks with bronzer to avoid looking like a pumpkin! This is a good everyday foundation but I would recommend something like Estee Lauder Double Wear or Becca Ultimate Coverage for a night out or for a longer than usual day.
Most Helpful Critical Review An okay foundation It's an okay foundation . I liked the fact that it had shades for black women . I didn't want to spend $48 on the smash box but I guess I will next time . One thing I love is that it has a matte finish no shine. But it doesn't cover the best. Can still see my dark circles and scars . Have to put a lot over the scars . It also smells like alcohol from the medicine in it which I'm not a fan of . But it was cheaper and better than my bare minerals one so that's a plus . If you have scars I'd go with a different brand .

I love the formula of this foundation! It has a light coverage. If you're looking for a medium to full coverage foundation, this probably isn't the one for you. It has a nice dewy look after application. It doesn't feel heavy on your face. I got color matched in store the shade I got (Fresh Alabaster) is perfect for me. I'm on my second bottle of this! :)

If you are someone who struggles with acne I recommend this product BC it doesn't cause any breakouts and it doesn't leave ur skin looking cakey.

Coverage is a medium at best. Also hasn't help with my skin blemishes at all. Leaves my skin dry. I really had high hopes for this product.

I have been searching for years, and I mean YEARS, for my holy grail foundation. I have extremely sensitive combination skin and suffer from severe acne and this is the only foundation that doesn't break me out! The finish is absolutely perfect. I see reviews complaining about the coverage, but I just use a pot concealer over my red spots and then put the foundation on over it and the coverage is perfect! It's the best foundation ever!!!!

Overall it's a nice foundation! It needs some build up for full coverage but it's a good fit for my skin color ! Also has a nice consistency and doesn't dry fast .

Why has this product not been in my makeup bag for the past 20 years? I cannot believe this has been around all this time and I've been struggling to find the right foundation and this has been there all along. And why does Clinique hide their Acne Solutions foundation in a cabinet? Why don't they have it on display on their counters as a bestseller?
Anyway, it's a beautiful foundation. Creamy, plumping, gorgeous color matte that does not cause skin issues and actually aids in keeping blemishes at bay.

I picked up the ivory shade thinking it would be pretty light but in reality it's incredibly dark. It's great for acne prone skin and I love how it looks when it's on but the color is awful. So be careful cause it runs really dark

This is the best foundation ever it contains the salicylic acid which was used when I used to get chemical peels~Ouch!!. But it so helps to keep the skin not oily. I am so just recalling how bad my acne used to be..

Makeup could have been good if I was given a shade that didn't closely match the orange sign. Hire better consultants who are knowledgeable or I am done shopping at this store. I won't be buying this product based on the experience.

Love this foundation! I've been using it for several months and it has been my favorite. The coverage is buildable and doesn't feel caked on or heavy on your face. I have combo skin too and it feels just right on my skin, not too oily or dry. Plus I don't breakout! I'm not sure how much it helped my acne, but it certainly didn't effect it negatively. Highly recommend

I struggle with acne and have tried so many different foundations searching for one that would be gentle on my skin and not break me out, and I've finally found it! I wouldn't say it's exactly full coverage but the coverage is pretty good and buildable. My favorite thing is that it doesn't break me out while wearing it like others have and has easily become my everyday foundation for the last few years!

I use this almost daily for a medium coverage. The color matches my skin perfectly and leaves my face looking soft and smooth. Use others when I want a more fuller coverage but this has been a staple in my make up bag for over 13 years!! Great with my acne prone skin

I love this foundation. I have VERY acne prone/oily/sensitive skin. I've tried all kinds of foundations and they all break me out (even bare minerals). This coverage is pretty buildable but it doesn't break me out. It helps keep my acne under control. It doesn't cover my bumps SUPER well, so I wear the acne control concealer by Clinique as well and that covers FANTASTIC!!! This is the ONLY foundation that doesn't break me out, so I'm keeping it around!

I have tried so many foundations lately, and went right back to my old go-to. Everything else I tried was so heavy on my face, and I felt like I had to use so much of it. This one is still my fav, and it also doubles as an acne deterrent, which also helps so much, especially when having to wear a mask everywhere.

I'm oily and acne prone so I asked the employee for something more matte and hypoallergenic and she did this would work best ! I had heard about it and had wanted to try this before but when I put it on in the mirror it looked my shade! Well as soon as it dried I was noticing it look way to dark ! I was very disappointed with this and won't be buying it again ! This may work for others but it didn't for me ! So if you buy this get it a couple shades lighter !

Holy Grail Foundation. Good coverage, good for acne prone skin. A tad expensive - buy it when it goes on sale. Before you buy, Google it to see if it is on sale elsewhere and you are getting your best price.
