My son is a 15 yo male with inflammatory acne—more concentrated on the temples/forehead. He is using this wash daily. The acne seems to be worsening. Any other suggestions for a skin care routine that may help?
- Asked by Rene
- Official Answer By Dermalogica US - Brand EngageHello, thank you for contacting Dermalogica. For teenagers, we recommend a Clear Start routine. Cleanse: Start with the Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash to deep clean and purify your skin. Use it morning and night. Exfoliate: Use the Breakout Clearing Liquid Peel 1-2 times per week in the evening after cleansing. Apply a generous amount all over your face and neck, leave it on for 7-10 minutes, and then rinse. Target Treatment: Apply the Breakout Clearing Booster directly to blemishes or breakout areas, or use it as a thin layer all over the face after toner and before moisturizer. Moisturize: Skin Soothing Hydrating Lotion is a lightweight moisturizer to help soothe discomfort and hydrate areas that feel dry, making it suitable for younger, breakout-prone skin. This routine is designed to help clear breakouts and maintain healthy-looking skin. Best Wishes, The Dermalogica TeamWas this answer helpful to you

Great product if used as instructed
I've had breakouts since middle school. As I got older, the breakouts changed, but I would get them. After tying a number of other products, I was introduced to Dermalogica. This was before the acne line was released. I was told that if I used the products in the order that I was told, it would work...

Not effective!
I've been using this product religiously now for over a month and I've seen my acne only increasing. Due to the great reputation of this company, along with the recommendation of my dermatologist, I thought I would give it a try, in spite of the expense of the product. I have naturally oily skin and...

Usually I am cery cautious and hesitant when jt comes to what products i use on my face. I started breaking out in tinu pimples all over my face. At first I thought it might just be my skin acting up but usually my acne clears within in a week and it the breakouts have only gotten worse. I also hate the smell. I love dermalogica and have never had a bad experience with any of thier products, but this is definitely not worth it. Will be returning.
meh
I love Dermalogica but this product didn't do much for me. I have oily, relatively sensitive skin that loves salicylic acid. Now that I have my skin relatively under control, I know my breakouts are pretty much all hormonal. I never felt like this irritated my skin or anything but I also feel like it didn't really do it's job of clearing blemishes. I never felt like my skin got better using it. I've tried using it it periodically throughout the week and I've tried using it every night and can't tell if it's helping. I think it works as a cleanser in general, but I can't honestly say it helped acne. So I won't be getting more.

I got this as a gift for my mother because she has been saying that she needs more collagen and I feel like taking this instead of taking a supplement is better for our bodies because it's directly going on the skin and helping with the skins elasticity. She really likes it so far. Gifted by dermalogica
Not worth the hype at all.
I feel if you have terrible acne like i do this is not the product for you. Its way to over priced. Youre bettet off using Panoxyl!
Waste of money.

I really wanted to love this cleanser considering I've used dermalogica products in the past, but it seems to do nothing for my skin :( I've been using it daily for a month and it hasn't improved or lessened my acne breakouts. Only makes my skin dry
