For manis, dip finger into the center of the pot and twist until polish is completely removed. For pedis, tilt pot to saturate cap sponge, twist off cap and use to remove polish.

I will say this does a pretty good job at removing nail polish one finger at a time without damaging the rest of your manicure, if that is a concern to you.
