Can't beat the quality of these brushes, for the price. We will see how they will hold up over time, but I have faith that they're going to be great!
I've recently had to replace my Professional and Personal kit, and in searching for a reasonably priced set, that can be replaced, when the time comes (Professional) came across these.
Due to constant sanitation, traveling, and different product application, my brushes take a beating. I prefer to replace them probably more frequently than others, because of the possibility of bacterial buildup in the ferral (Metal holding bristles). These are absolutely perfect!
They pick up product wonderful, and disperse evenly. They are synthetic I believe, but apply like natural hair bristles. The smaller brushes can be used for eyeshadow or concealer, and the larger brushes are perfect for setting powder, foundation, and could definitely work as blush, bronzer brushes.
I am going to purchase a larger setting powder brush (Preference) today, and possibly the eye set. Wish I would have bought both sets and gotten two free. I wanted to try them first and test the quality, so I'll possibly buy two of the more expensive brushes and get 2 free or just buy both sets and get 2 free, which is still an amazing deal. That's almost an 18 piece full set for $50 or less! The case is great too as it's long enough to hold some of my favorite blending eyeshadow brushes.
My personal kit includes:
It!, Sigma, M.A.C., & Bdellium brushes
I used these brushes, with some dryer more inexpensive concealers/foundations/powders to check out quality:
M.A.C.s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation
Coty Airspun Translucent Setting Powder
M.A.C. Studio Fix Pressed Powder
M.A.C. Pro Longwear Concealer
Rimmel Stay Matte Concealer
If you're a beginner, learning, clean freak, or just looking for consistency in quality, at a decent to lower price point. I would spend my money on these vs Morphe, BH, Eco Tools, or Real Techniques, Anyday!
This is not my first time purchasing brushes and I absolutely love another store brand and Morphe brushes. I purchased this on sale thinking it had a decent range of brush types that would work well in my travel bag. Unfortunately the only brush that was worth keeping was the medium powder brush that I use with loose setting powder. For a first brush set it would probably be great.

So glad I finally tried Ulta brushes. Great staples kit. Perfect for swirl, tap, buff application of mineral makeup, which is what I used with them so far. (Brushes used from mineral kit became stiff after washing them.) Hoping Ulta retain softness.

The brushes are fine. They are soft and are adequate as back up/travel brushes but THEY SMELL TERRIBLE. I had to wash them several times and they still smell.

So soft! Easy to clean.

I was replacing brushes I'd had been using too long. The old ones were very dense & expensive, but over time would not clean up. Yuk! So I hope these less dense brushes will be easier to keep clean. They are soft and good for blush and powder application.

I gave it 3 stars cause I bought this for the bigger brushes for my foundation and blush. The blush one doesn't work the way I hoped.

With so many brushes, it can be hard to tell which to go with - especially online. These are good quality brushes at a fair price. Can tell the difference from my old ones which were wearing out.

Should be made in the USA though

Every time I would try to get these brushes they would be sold out. That right there is all anybody should really have to say (I mean why else would they be so hard to keep in stock). I use mine daily and when I travel they fit perfectly in the case that comes with them!!! Love, Love, Love these brushes!!!

I love these brushes. I'm shocked on how soft Ulta's makeup brushes are. I use these during my daily routine and they're the first ones that come with me when I need to travel. It comes with the super cute bag that is large enough for all of the brushes that this set comes with along with the few other brushes I can squeeze inside. The pretty rose gold black gives it a nice elegant touch.
