Slide the button into the "lock" position. Test the handle to ensure it is firmly locked in place. To unlock, simply slide the button to the "unlock" position. The handle should rotate freely. Styling Tips Hair should be clean and dried completely before using any styling tool. Comb out a 2-inch section of hair and place hair ends between the barrel and clamp. The clamp should be on top of the hair. Hold the curling iron handle, roll under for a curl and over for a flip. Leave the iron in fine hair for 5 to 8 seconds, and 10 to 15 seconds for thick hair. Lift Marcel Wand to release hair. Allow curls to cool before combing or brushing. When styling is complete, slide the "On/Off" Switch to the "Off" position. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before storing. |

Hard to use
I consider myself a 10 for hand coordination, however, this product makes me feel like I have no coordination at all. I burnt my temple area and hand trying to use. Will return for refund.

I love hot tools. It looks like great quality and heats up better than another other brand I've used, but this one has a poor design. The duck bill on it will not grab your hair to get the hair around the wand. It brought it back to the store thinking it was broken because of how loose it was. Along with one of your sales associates we looked at another identical model and found the same thing. So we surmised that this must just be how it's designed. I notice none of the other hot tools are designed like this. So I'll try to find another 1/2" hot tools some place else. Too bad. I've been using hot tools for decades.

My mom got me the 3/4 in because I LOVED her Marcel curling iron. She still uses it and bought it when she was in hair school over twenty years ago. They're so much faster and easier to style hair than a clip IF you know how to use them.
