Start with clean, dry hair, spraying heat protectant liberally throughout. Brush and section hair. Set wand to the desired temperature for your hair type. Ensure you are wearing the heat resistant glove before you start styling. Beginning with a 1" section, wrap hair around wand and hold for 8-10 seconds, then release.
PRO TIP: Stop wrapping when you reach the section's last ¼ - ½" so ends stay uncurled for a beachy style.
PRO TIP: Once you release a section from the wand, cup it from the bottom with your hand and reform the curl. Either hold it or pin it until it's cool to make your style last even longer. Repeat with remaining sections until entire head is styled. Once curls are cooled, brush through for soft curls and waves.

Great Option for Long Hair
Gifted by Hot Tools Until I was gifted this extended barrel curling wand by Hot Tools, I had been using the same curling iron for years. I honestly thought all curling irons worked about the same, but the extended barrel made a noticeable difference for my long hair. I've had long hair most of my life, and with my old curling iron I always felt like I was running out of room on the barrel. With this wand, I can wrap my hair much more easily, which makes styling faster. I've used it to create both tighter curls and loose beachy waves, but I prefer beachy waves for everyday wear. It also comes with a heat-resistant glove, which was helpful since I'm not very experienced with curling wands. I like that there isn't a clamp because those tend to leave creases in my hair. The result was soft, natural-looking waves that lasted throughout the day.

The extended barrel makes styling faster and easier especially for long hair. It heats up quickly and maintains the heat. I also appreciate the extra-long barrel because it allows me to curl larger sections at once.
PERFECT FOR HOLLYWOOD WAVES
I'm a Hot Tools girly through & through so I didn't expect anything but greatness from this curling wand. I love that I can curl my longer units and extensions without scrunching up the hair because the barrel is long enough for all of the hair to fit. It heats up really fast unlike my previous curling wands. 10/10 for sure for me!
