I have purchased all of these brushes individually in the past and I figure a pro and con format is easiest for interpreting a review of a product. I was only able to photograph a few of the brushes since some are back at home. Pros: -Easy to use -Very soft -Has never Shed (i have used the same brushes for over a year) -With property and regular cleaning they stay soft and in great condition -Very portable in the carrying case provided -Very durable Cons: -The black handle makes finger prints and make up very visible -I have had only one break but I believe it was because of improper storage while traveling. I was easily able to repair it with glue and it hasn't broken off since -Not a huge fan of the "bent" eyeliner brush, its a little difficult to be super precise for something like a Cat eye look Summary: I began using elf products years ago and I fell in love with their studio brushes. I replaced my high end bare minerals brushes and Victoria secrets make up brushes with these and i am so happy I did. The Victoria secrets holiday make up brush gift set fell apart when i cleaned them and while the Bare Mineral brushes were soft when i got them after there 2nd cleaning they began to get very scratchy and rough. I use these brushes daily: -Eye shadow "C" brush - To apply eye shadow -Crease Brush - To Blend eye shadow -Fan brush - To apply highlighter and whisk away eye shadow fall out -Powder Brush (flat top) - To apply liquid foundation or setting powder -Selfie Ready Powder Brush - To blend out blush and bronzer -Blush Brush - To apply Blush Final Notes: After adding all of this up you save upwards of 15+ dollars by buying the kit while also getting the carrying case free. I would recommend this to anyone who either wants a full professional brush kit or wants to give a gift to a make-up lover. Also its great to know they're cruelty free. Suggestions: I would also purchase their Angled Blush Brush and use it for contouring. I find if you use its side you can get a very precise and blended contour that looks natural. I bought these and have had them less than a month but I don't wear makeup on a daily, three of my brushes completely split and the metal piece connecting the brush hairs to the handle came off on most... I'm upset due to the fact I spent 50 on this and they didn't even last long. This should be worth only 30 at the most, definitely not worthy. Don't even bother.

Contour brush, stipple brush, fan brush, angled liner brush among others are not included in this set. There are 19 brushes (including the double-sided brush), but they are NOT what is pictured. Many very similar brushes within the set. I'm very dissatisfied since the missing brushes were largely why I purchased this set.

I received this set as a gift from my mom and when I saw it I was ecstatic. Love the entire set and I couldn't be happier.

These brushes are soooo incredibly soft. The softest makeup brushes I've touched! But they are also thick and dense for the brushes that need to be

I love e.l.f. products and this brush set is amazing again it does not say 19 brushes it says 19 piece brush collection. It is the eyebrow Duo brush that is double ended OR That you are ALSO getting a Brush roll that holds your brushes. That would be a COMPLETE 19 Brush Collection. Great quality, Light weight and overall fantastic set! Very pleased! :)

I never really used makeup brushes, but I wanted to try some. I really like this set because it has a variety of brushes I can play with and become more comfortable in applications.

I just started using them and I feel like they are EVERYTHING!

This is a great brush set, especially if you're newer to brushes! I bought this a few years ago to try and get an idea for what I liked/didn't. Much to my surprise, I still have the whole set! I never bring all of them when I'm actually travelling, and even at home I can go weeks without touching some of them-- but they're still great to have. I've bought individual extras of some of the ones I reach for the most. As for the others, it's just nice to have some real variety to change up your application method; like if I'm testing a new foundation, I have multiple options to get different levels of coverage. My favorites are the blush brush, the stipple brush, eyebrow duo brush, crease/blending brush, eyeshadow "c" brush, small precision brush, and the flawless concealer brush. And lately, I've been enjoying the mascara fan brush to do my lower lashes.

I can't believe all the bad reviews for this 19pc set saying they only got 18! Seriously ladies?!? You get 18 brushes and the roll that holds all the brushes! If you're old enough to wear makeup you should be old enough to count and figure that out. 🙄 Read the description and take your manicured nails and tap each line and count the brushes. You'll come up with 18 brushes. Then add the roll travel bag and guess what??? YOU COME UP WITH 19!!! A lot of eye rolling going on here! Blows my mind how dumb people can be. And don't write a bad review for a good product because you can't count or figure something out. Come on!

I have been reading many reviews from customers saying they only got 18 brushes and that is 100% FALSE! You don't need to buy the set to realize this is false. No one is missing a brush, one of the brushes is a DUO! There is 2 ends to it so one side is a brush and the other is a spoolie.. most sets that come with a spoolie, the spoolie is part of a duo brush for the eye brows! Look at the picture and count. There are 18 wands but 19 brushes due to one being duel sided " eye brow DUO" so please stop writing false reviews saying you are missing a brush when you are not. You are not counting correctly. It gives a false review and that is not fair to E.L.F nor the customers looking for a good brush set.

They definitely do the job. This would be a good kit for a beginner brush collection. Brushes can be really expensive so I think this kit is a perfect way to get started. They really gentle and soft on the skin and the eye brushes don't irritate or make my eyes water while using them. I've had some shedding a little bit but that's expected with more affordable quality brushes. I use them everyday and my makeup always meets my expectations.

I received 18/19 brushes they're good quality and don't "shed"

These reviews are great. "Missing a brush"... "Only 18 brushes..." Oh ladies learn to read! 19 PIECES Brush and ROLL. Keywords are piece and roll. The roll, carrier, whatever you want to call it, is a piece. It does not say 19 brushes. Love elf makeup, excited to grow my collection, eye brushes and pink face sponge are fabulous so far!

Mine just arrived today, and I was extremely excited to open them. After opening them, I thought they were really soft and nice. Although, they did smell of chemicals, and I was missing brushes. In the picture it shows many brushes. I didn't receive a couple of them. For example counter brush, and fan brush. It's titled "19 brush set," yet I received 18. Another concern was that one of my brushes contained some weird hard trash thing on it. Honestly, I would recommend buying individual brushes to be on the safe side. It's better to know what you're getting.

As a person who has a mix of really good quality brushes and then some cheaper ones, I have tried so many different types of brushes and I know what works well. I have a few of the elf brushes and they aren't bad! However, I will warn you, the ones with the white and black in them are good. The all black are terrible. Save your money and just get a few of the one sold separately.

I just got this a week or 2 ago and not all the brushes were with it.

I'm new in my makeup journey, and I loved that I got so many different options of quality brushes for such a great price!

I love this set. It has most of the basic brushes you need to do a good daily face, plus a lot of extras. I'm still learning which brushes are my preferred ones to do different make up tasks.
