Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

I accidentally picked this cleanser up, thinking it was a different Neutrogena cleanser I was looking for. I realized it not too soon after purchasing, but figured it wouldn't matter that much. I used it at night with a facial brush and first noticed that something smelled like diapers? Not dirty diapers, mind you, but diapers nonetheless. I noticed my face was starting to burn, but I wasn't sure whether to attribute it to the cleanser, a new toner I was using, or maybe a combination of the two. I used it maybe three or four more times (without the toner, just to make sure) before deciding the burning sensation was not worth it.

HOWEVER, the story does not end there. I have recently developed pretty dry skin-- I moved from the East Coast (where I would have combination skin) but this dry heat has sapped me up. I started noticing some dry patches around my nostrils and around the corners of my mouth. These were dry to the point that I was feeling skin irritation-- similarly to having chapped skin in the winter. Eventually, one of these dry patches peeled off to become a nice scab by my mouth. Wonderful. DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN, or just skin in general.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

I have sensitive and oily skin, leaving me to search through countless items in search for something that helps slow oil production and is gentle. This product does just that! The salicylic acid is a must-have. To help contain oil and moisturize on my face, I paired this facial cleanser with an Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion with SPF!

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

I used this since I was a teenager, I'm now 36. My daughter tried many of face washes and she couldn't find one that she liked. She gets acne. I told her to try mine and she really likes it. It dries out the face, but I like that and then I just add moisturizer. I've never really had a problem with acne and this may be why.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

I've been using this product for about 2 months now with the Mario Badescu rose spray and the Clinique All Over Clearing Treatement and I've noticed a drastic improvement in my skin. I generally have one large break out once a month but do get spots every so often and this has really helped to control those breakouts. My only complaint is that it's very drying if you don't moisturize well and can cause a burning sensation/be slightly irritating if you have a cut or open wound on your skin. But this sensation usually wears off the moment your wash off the gel.

Comments about Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash:

The first thing I will say is this will make your skin DRY AS SAND. Completely dries out skin, But I mix this with my deep charcoal face wash and it creates the perfect face wash. My skin is clear and i'm so happy! Just make sure to use a good, oil free moisturizer
