Most Helpful Positive Review Liked it! I've recently tried countless flat irons to replace my Sedu (old version) and this one is by far the best I've tried. What I look for in a flat iron is for it to easily straightening my hair without making it look lifeless and flat, some shine is definitely a plus and I think this one lived up to the expectation. I also appreciate the auto shut feature and digital temperature control. I highly recommend it.
Most Helpful Critical Review Not all I hoped for. I purchased the Paul Mitchell neuron hair straightener to replace my 10+ year old brocato vibrastrait that I purchased through my hair stylist (it was the first version and not available for the public to buy yet). I was less than impressed with the neuro, especially after reading such great reviews. Things I liked: heats up FAST, ability to select an auto shut off time, digital display. Things that didn't work for me: didn't even manage to straighten a thin, one inch section of my hair after FOUR passes at 410• (yes, I went slowly. ) my hair is wavy/curly and thick, but the texture is fairly fine. This should not be a problem. after trying for 20+ minutes to straighten just the front I gave up and switched back to my old one. Also. While the auto shut off function is helpful, it didn't remember my time preference after I chose it the first time. (Yes, I gave it a second shot- still didn't work.) overall disappointed, it went back shortly after I bought it and I bought a new brocato.

I bought this to replace a neuro smooth and it is terrible. It pulls my hair constantly, it does straighten my hair but it's not as good as the smooth. I bought it a long time ago before I started using so I cannot return it. Would not recommend.
I would not purchase this straightener again 2

Too expensive to only last one year
Never try again!!! Tore my hair out! Not a smooth like Chi 1
Jennifer from Tucson AZ
Horrible. I returned the unit with some hair still in it. For $150 I expected more. I was replacing my 16yr old Chi that finally gave out. The chi was smooth and effortless, never pulled and the on off switch was on the outside to avoid accidentally burns.
Love this product 5

This product is great for all types of hair. I love the fact that it has a digital thermostat which heats up very quickly. I really love the shape; makes it easy to curl the ends giving a natural bounce instead of pin straight appearance. Doesn't burn my hair.
So far so good 4

I have thick curly hair and I use this after I blow out to get extra straight or cute beach waves!
Worth the money 5

I've always had frizzy hair and every straightener I've owned has given my hair that burning smell after using. This one I can use at low heat and it will take away the frizz and keep my hair shiny and straight all day! Highly recommend! So smooth going through your hair that it doesn't get stuck in the plates. Can use after a day of washing hair and it'll look like you freshly washed it!
First time using a straight iron & this product is great 5

It doesn't curl at all at 410 and I smelled my hair burning. Worse than my cheap one.
Not as great as I hoped. 3

I was very disappointed with this straightener. For the price it was not worth it. It would pull my hair every time and leave me with more broken ends than it should.
Straightens hair fast and easy 5

I have been using this straightener for about a year and its the best straightener I've personally ever purchased. The brand was recommended to me by my hair-dresser, and it has yet to disappoint. A year little, I haven't had any technical issues with it. Overall, I love it!
Love it! 4
Straightener from Ulta
I have thick course hair and this straightener has always been my favorite. It does occasionally snag my hair but I found it's not as bad if you take less hair at a time. It left my hair shiny and tangle free. And I have no frizz. If you use it the right way you will love it! Only reason I don't give it a 5 is the occasional snagging but the results I get with my hair way pass this one little issue.

Terrible product. There is a divot in the plastic below the plates that my hair gets caught in everyday. Sometimes I can gently pull it out but other times I have to say goodbye to the ends that get stuck in it
Not the best I have used 2

I am a little disappointed with this product. My CHI finally died after having it for 8 years and I thought I would try this straightener because my friend loved hers. This iron does the trick, it's straightens your hair but snags and pulls out strains of your hair while in the process. I also used my CHI for curling and I tried to curl with this straightener and the curls are not nearly as nice as my CHI. It's a okay product, definitely wouldn't repurchase this product.
Not worth the money 1
Britt from Monroe La
i purchased this when it first came out and it has died on me not once but twice with in less than a year. It is not worth the money because you have to turn around and spend more to get this product fixed. I finally decided on a different brand that was cheaper but better quality than this was.
Pulls my hair 2
Hairlover from Nashville, Tn
This flatiron pulls out strands of my hair everytime I use it. It does it every pass too. This flatiron is way to expensive for this. I wish I wouldn't have bought it. I will not buy anymore hair tools from PM.
I would highly recommend this 5

This is not a one pass iron.... heats up quickly very cheaply made also hair snags through each pass. Definitely will be returning to Ulta
Thought it was gonna be a better straightner 3

Before buying I had seen reviews, some good others bad. Didnt listen. Everytime I straighten my hair a couple of my hairs get stuck and pulled. Hate it! Specially if youre in a rush, cant with this straightner. Thinking of taking it back!
The best flat iron I've ever used! 5

I use this iron specifically to straighten my hair, and it does a magnificent job! Not only does it straighten my hair really well, but it also adds shine to it! It was worth every penny!
