Most Helpful Positive Review Amazing for thick hair.
I returned several flat irons until I was recommended this one. It is so much better than the previous Paul Mitchell. This one heats up FAST and it let's you know when it has reached the temp. My hair is thick and frizzy and this sleeks it smooth in half the time. I have long hair and also use an ion heat protection spray you can find at Sally's beauty.
Most Helpful Critical Review SNAGS HAIR!
I have used PM smoothing irons for 15 years. I have NEVER had one that pulls my hair out. There is some faulty craftsmanship with this model. It does all it claims to do but also pulls out strands of my hair every time. Those strands of hair end up caught inside the inner part of the handle. I have made a complaint to PM in hopes they are able to correct this issue.

This tool heats up nicely.. however, it has caused so much breakage to my hair. It also snags it pretty bad.
Love this flat iron!

****UPDATE: I commented earlier saying my Paul Mitchell iron had died but it's not true. My power outlet wasn't working and I plugged my iron in a different socket and turns out she works just fine and DIDN'T die on me. It's lasted me about 6 years now...!!!! Still an amazing flat iron. I totally Recommend ..!!
The best of the best

Best flat iron I've ever had ..!! Mine just died on me but it lasted for over 5 years and I can't say that about any other flat iron I've had ..!!!! I have súper course frizzy and curly hair and this iron does the job and well I love it and buying another one.

I absolutely love the way this iron straightens my hair. I have coarse curly/coily hair and honey one maybe two swipes and it's BONE STRAIGHT. Two days later it's still straight and it heats up in seconds! Stop debating and just buy it.
Don't buy this!!

I don't think the temperature control worked and it fried my hair - it literally broke off. I have never had this happen with any other flat iron.
Ari from Burbank, CA
I love this straightener. It makes my hair silky smooth and straightens very fast, but the only problem is it pulls my hair when straightening:(
Not sure if I just got a bad one or all of them are like that
Great flat iron from Athens TN
I have a GHD which was good but had no heat settings, i have hair extensions now so heat settings are a must. I got this flat iron and absolutely LOVE it!!! It makes my hair feel so silky and smooth (i have naturally wavy hair coarse hair) i don't think you could go wrong with this one!! Coming from someone who is very picky about heat tools.
i highly recommit this product

i have tick long hair... i was in need of a new flat iron as the one i curtly used was taking me over an hour to get the job done, i got this yesterday and decide to try it this morning and WOOOW it took me 15 min to get my whole hair done!!!! i am so impress best investment i have done so far this year lol.

I was very suprised this brand does not show up in google search for "recommended flat-irons" . A worker from Ulta salon suggested either this one or babybliss. I now I should have chosen Babybliss, however this flat-iron isn't bad. I have a lot of hair and it's curly and this flat-iron does the job fine. I also only flatten my once a week and the rest of the week I leave it curly. I don't overdo my hair blow-drying, curling or flat-ironing. Maybe this is why my hair doesn't dry out, idk. Overall this product is great for me. Later I will invest in better quality.
I would buy this again

I have this for more then 3years now still like new use it one time a week. This is a really nice flat iron. I used it in my sister and cousins hair and work amazing they love it and wanted to buy it. I always suggest to wait for a 20% off from ulta to get a better deal :)
If you want silky hair

The iron works super well! unfortunately it snags your hair a bit. i am a label kind of gal, so when i received the iron and noticed it didn't have PM on the iron i was disappointed. other than that it truly does straighten your hair with one pass through. it heats up pretty fast not sure it's as fast as it claims but it also doesn't burn your hair like other irons.

The flat iron works so well for me it cut my straightening time compared to using a 1 inch Chi flat iron. I like the thicker plates because I have long hair. I love how straight and smooth my hair is. And this doesn't snag my hair at all as long as I detangle it well.

This model was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who has been doing her own 4-type hair for years. This was my first time ever straightening my hair and I was beyond nervous. This flat iron is super easy to use, and I love that I can control the temerpature down to the degree. My hair didn't get as striaght as I would like, but I think that might be more down to me being somewhat of a novice. VERY well-made. Highly recommend!
Just Buy It!!!

I am shook!!! I've used both high-end and low-end flat irons BUT this is by far the best. I have 3C/4A type hair that's extremely thick and long. After applying more heat-protection spray to my freshly blown-out hair, I used this flat iron at 400 degrees...all I needed was one-pass per section to make my hair silky, smooth. This iron didn't snag any of my hair and made my tresses shiny too!!! Do yourself a favor and just buy it...but make sure you follow the directions on how much heat you should apply to your hair so you won't get any heat damage.
Not for me.

So the straightener is pretty nice it heats really fast to 450 degrees and also straightens my hair really fast BUT it does pull my hair when I'm using it and when I'm done my hair isn't silky and soft how I would expect it to be. I have had the results before with PYT straightener so I wouldn't settle for Paul Mitchell . This was a no for me.
Snags my hair :(

This was a gift, otherwise I would have returned it. It heats up quickly and straightens my wavy hair very well, but it has snagged my hair from day 1. Very disappointing considering the price point on this device.
Thick coarse hair...worked great

I have super thick, coarse, wavy, and curly hair. This thing does magic on it that my Chi never could.
Hell_On_Heelz from Michigan
They're a bit pricey, but so worth it. The Manager of Ulta's salon (in MI) recommended these. So happy that they did!
I would buy this straightener again.
Ciarra from New York, NY
I just used it for the first time today and my hair looks great. I didn't want to spend a lot on a new straightener but for the price and quality of it, it's perfect and gets the job done quickly. I would recommend to anyone.
My stylist uses this
Jessica from Erie PA
My stylist uses this iron in her salon, I used to use the argon oil straightener and I loved it for awhile, but it got old and I can't ever get my hair to stay smooth, it straightens, but gets puffy, this iron keeps is silky smooth and I'm in love, I'm buying my own tomorrow 🖤
Becky from Massachusetts
I tried this one before I got my babyblisspro because it was a little cheaper, but I hated it! I have pretty curly frizzy hair and it didn't help at all. My hair looked super damaged and gross and frizzy after. If you have straight or wavy hair I'd give this a go but other wise wasn't my cup of tea at all.

I've had this flat iron for 5 years now and it still leaves my hair so nice and straight. I have curly hair and it works amazing on my hair. Definitely would recommend! Every time I straighten someone's hair they ask me what flat iron I use.
I love it!
Ultabeauty12 from Huntsville AL
I think it's a great product. I have wavy/ curly hair and it takes me 15 min max to totally straighten my hair. It heats up really quick and I put it on the lowest heat setting and it still does amazing.
💯💯💯 best straightener I have ever had
Kj from Houston Texas
Works so fast. Normally takes a hour to straighten my hair. With this straightener only takes 15-35 mins to straighten my hair
Ashley from Kentucky
I had a Paul Mitchell smoothing straightening iron years ago and loved it. This one however damaged mine and my daughters hair. We even used the heat protectant spray. It hamade it very dry, coarse and brittle. I had to return it.
