Most Helpful Positive Review Works fast!
Tried it out this past weekend and went back to work with a convincing tan!
Only one application took me from winter pasty to a pretty natural brown that my co-workers commented on..."You look great!" And "Wow, somebody went to the beach!"
Two comments though from me: It still smells like a self-tanner. Non noticeable at first, but the smell builds as it darkens you...And, Avoid your face...It's a body tanner, and it looks great on your arms and legs...but Jergens make products for your face too, so use them where they recommend using them.
Most Helpful Critical Review It's ok
I guess this is ok. I like that you don't have to wait for your body to dry before you can put it on, but the tan is pretty streaky and orange, at least for my fair skin.

This is the second time ive used jergens wet skin self tanner. I use to the fair to medium one because I am very fair skinned and I do not tan well. This has worked for me so well. It give me a nice natural glow and is super easy to apply. I've been using it for 4 days now and I can already tell a difference. I even put it on my face and it makes my skin so soft and healthy looking. I will say that it makes my shower floor a little slippery so I have to make sure I rinse it out afterwards. I just pat my skin dry and put clothes on. It's not getting on my clothes or on my bed sheets. I also exfoliate my skin before I apply especially around the knees elbows and ankles and I haven't noticed it being splotchy or streaking at all. I love that because other products I've used have done that to my skin or turned me an awful orange color. The smell of this product is nice but I can also smell the self tanner in it but it doesn't bother me. Some may not like the smell but it's the same smell in all self tanners ive ever used. I recomend this product to anyone who has trouble getting a tan in the summer or just wants to have a healthy glow all winter.
Smooth, Even, Subtle Finish

I personally rarely get any color when tanning, I am PALE. This product is even better than the original Jergens tanning moisturizer that I used. It is an easy application and a small amount of product goes a long way. I use right out of the shower, avoiding the face, then pat down the rest of my body to dry after I apply. I have a Jergens facial tanning lotion that I use instead of putting this on my face, to avoid the grease. My favorite thing about this product is that it DOES NOT come off on clothing/your sheets at night, it also never leaves your skin splotchy. It leaves my skin very hydrated as well.

Easy to use. Nice subtle color without the damage of the sun.

I think it is pretty good but there is somewhat of a learning curve. This is my first time using any kind of self tan product and it was way less scary than I thought. HOWEVER, it is really important that you only use a little bit at a time and rub it in all the way. In the beginning, I put a lot in my hands and rubbed all over my arms. There was streakiness and it was somewhat obvious that I used a tanner, but I think that was just operator error. The major issue I have with it is the smell- its not terrible but definitely not my favorite.
Great results for me
Sue from Georgia
I find this self-tanner to be the best I have ever used. Goes on easily in the shower right after I turn off the water. Does not discolor my white towels or sheets. I never use on my face. I really like that I get an even color and I feel comfortable wearing sleeveless shirts with a little color on my arms. Legs look great too. I use it all spring and most of the summer probably every 2 to 3 days. I use the fair shade, but may try the medium next time I need to repurchase.
Not as moisturizing as lotion, but smells good
Daussin from MWC, OK
This has a strange feeling, sort of feels oily when applied. My skin doesn't feel dry after applying, but it also doesn't feel as hydrated as when using a normal lotion. I like the smell, although it is not very strong and doesn't last long.
Very easy gradual glow
Kear from St. Louis
I like this product a lot because there's not much commitment, unless you leave a glob of it somewhere, you're not going to turn orange, and since it's gradual, missing a spot one time isn't going to be very noticeable, also doesn't stain my towels!!
I can't make this product work!
Mehhrehh from Bay Area, CA
I bought this after trying the regular in-shower moisturizer at a friend's house. That stuff is great, especially in the winter to avoid shivering in the cold trying to put lotion on. I was excited to see this product!
The first time I tried it, I got a very questionable result. I got blotches on my knees, but no color anywhere else. I thought maybe I'd missed the exfoliating step, so I did that and tried again. Same result. What the heck?
I'm nothing if not stubborn, so I took this out of the shower and tried to apply it like a regular gradual self tanner. I've had it on my legs about an hour and it hasn't dried, despite sitting in front of a fan. It smells medicinal and unpleasant. Dabbing with a paper towel got most of the smell and tacky-ness off, but I'm going to call it a loss and take a shower. This stuff is gross.
Fair for a Wet Skin moisturizer, Poor if you want a Tan.
jenkt from CA
I had a trial size from a sample box. The scent was neutral/pleasant. I didn't notice any difference in the color of my skin after using. I don't trust that this product can get me as evenly tanned as if I had used a mousse+mitt or a gradual self tanning lotion. I am not a fan.

I was skeptical of this when it first came out but I love Jergens so I gave it a try. This is awesome! The only thing is you can't be dripping wet right out of the shower when you apply. Be careful around knees, elbows and heels like any other self tanner. A little product goes a long way. It's a beautiful natural color that builds. I haven't used it on my face because I use a few products after washing my face so I'm not sure how that works out.
Christian from Pittsburgh
Horrible product, it's splotchy, uneven and looks absolutely terrible!!! I thought it would be easy and convenient but waste of money, stick with their traditional moisturizer!!
Bloop from New York
I bought this yesterday sort of blindly, and got nervous when I got home and read reviews online. I used it last night and woke up to see a completely even & beautiful tan. I exfoliated in the shower so that may have helped, but even my elbows and ankles, typically dry areas for me, were perfect. I have 0 complaints so far. I used a different brand and item for my face as I have super sensitive skin & was nervous to apply this, woke up with nothing on my face and the rest of me looking beautiful bronze. Will be trying on my face next!
Very nice drugstore self tanner
CaseRT from Ocean Springs, MS
I really enjoy this lotion. I've repurchased it 3 times now. I like the color comes gradual and avoids the streaking look. The color that comes through is a very good match for my skin tone and does not have the "orangey" look like I have found in a lot of self tanners.
Birdie from raleigh, nc
I am very fair skinned. I have used the jergens natural glow lotion for a couple of years and have liked the gradual tan produced. I still felt a little sticky from it and would rinse off after a couple of hours. THIS however, is awesome!! You really do need to follow instructions. You do only need a small amount. It works great! I am super happy with it and I do not feel sticky at all.
The great pumpkin
Buckeye chick from Newark, Ohio
I was so excited to try this product after reading the reviews! I followed all directions, exfoliated etc. I noted a slight change in color by day 2, day 3 I used product again, when I woke up the next morning, I cried! I am a rotting pumpkin orange color! I am so disappointed. I have a lot of american Indian in my DNA which in my opinion has a slight orange tint naturally. I love Jergens and am happy with every other product I've ever tried, this one not so much.
The great pumpkin
Buckeye chick from Newark Ohio
I followed the directions step by step, exfoliated applied just as the instructions stated. I noticed a bit of change in color day 2, after using day 3 I woke up the next morning in tears! I am so disappointed because I read every review, did everything as directed and still turned out a ridiculous color of orange and do not even want to go outside my house!
Not bad for price
Afab from Illinois
Honestly for the price it's not bad!!! Just rub it in good and wipe your hands off (palms, wrists, and in between fingers) started seeing color within a few hours. I was pleasantly surprised.
DO NOT USE THIS
dontbuy from Wisconsin
This is my second time purchasing because I thought I would give it another try. I purchased one last fall and didn't end up using it passed one time and threw it away when I moved. It was too patchy and made me looked bruised and streaky. Now that tanning salons are closed, I thought I'd try again. Wrong decision! Once again I'm super patchy and smell awful from this product! Not to mention, the bottle claims, "Color stays on skin but my towels and bed sheets are completely ruined after one night of sleeping with this on. Save your money.
Not what I expected
Yahilin from New Orleans
The bottle itself says "non -greasy" . I'm very disappointed that it's actually not true it's super greasy everything sticks to the skin & makes any fabric on you feel hot & moist. It is moisturizing but too greasy I can't wait to finish it since I already spent my money on it.
Lil nikki from Macomb
Thank you been keeping me happy during this lockdown and not being able to tan love you guys
I stock up
Jade from Florida
I love this product it's able to balance out my darker areas with my lighter ones so evenly without going out into the sun for a few hours. It smells really good & is very hydrating.
*Wet skin moisturizer* review
Andrea R from Upstate NY
Though this product smells absolutely heavenly and my skin looks like it was just oiled up but Jesus himself... It's sooo greasy. You can feel everything stick to you. Your clothes, lint, blankets, fuzz. Yuck. Love it but hate it.
After 2nd day, my toilet seat & towels turned blue
JeanMarie from undisclosed
The smell after 3rd day is all day...the beige toilet vinyle seat is blue as well as my pink towels..the color was streaking until 4 th day but nice
My New Go to product!
Elrods1 from Oregon
I love this product so much it is so easy to use. The tan is so beautiful. I finally found a self tanner that works.
This did work pretty good!
Sara from Minnesota
Although I prefer the gradual Jergens self-tanning lotion this did work and tan developed in about three days. Tricky part is top of hands and top of feet which I usually do with a cotton pad after I wash my hands and feet. It did not stain towels or clothing which was great since you are drying off after applying it. Had very faint sunless tannner smell but not nearly as bad as others!
