Most Helpful Positive Review Flawless, Lightweight, and Blends like Magic!
I am a light skin black female, who has combination skin. It's extremely dry during the winter, and combination during the summer. Especially, around the T zone areas, prone to very oily skin. I went into the store two weeks ago, in search of a new foundation. One that could be quickly used, with little to no effort. One that would be light but offer a full coverage.
The nice sales lady, suggested this product. She did a quick test with two colors, and we found that I was closer to N60. I put it on using my finger and place drops all over my face. Then I use a sponge to blend it out. I set it with a setting powder, or sometimes I don't. Just depends on how far I am going that day with applying makeup.
Typically, I don't have to build it up, as one layer is perfect. I have received compliments. I've been told it doesn't look like I am wearing foundation.
So, I do love this product, and will buy another bottle today as it's on sale! :)
Most Helpful Critical Review Not for mature skin
This is one of the worst products I've tried in my search for a foundation for my 49 year old skin! It settles into pores and lines. I used the anti-aging primer and loose setting powder all in the same brand. I look like I'm wearing a heavy mask! Not a good look at all. I specifically asked the sales associate for help with lines and pores and the result was disastrous! Don't buy this product or or any other in this line if you have mature skin! Unbelievably horrible!!

It is a good product for my skin. It matches with my skin color. I have some dark spots on my skin and it covers it. Is the best! I love it!
Allergic Reaction- please, reveal plant sources
Gem Of The Hills from Central Florida
The tester stripe of foundation that I put down my face and neck cause a very bad reaction. I have diagnosed allergies to soy, wheat, hazelnuts, and peanuts. Soy and wheat are found in many foundations- but under different names. Example: Tocopherol is a version of vitamin E, and can be sourced from many different plants (including soy). Unfortunately, most companies don't reveal their plant sources. This makes finding a foundation (lipstick, face cream, literally everything you'd use in/on your body) VERY difficult.
Great Foundation for Sensitive Skin!
Pickychick from Charleston, WV
I love this foundation! It is full coverage yet looks like skin! I have very sensitive skin and am limited on the foundations that I can use. I do have to mix shades to match my skin tone - I mix the N20 with the P10 to get my shade, but this is not unusual for me. I'm a slightly pink leaning N15 and have always struggled with foundation matches. I have dry skin and use a good moisturizer and primer (milk) and must finish it with a setting powder to make it last. (Laura mercier)The foundation looks slightly matte after the setting powder, so I just use a little highlighter and it is perfection! It wears all day and I have to take it off at night! Less is more with this foundation, as it can look cakey and crack if applied too thick. It dries down very fast, so it's important to apply it quickly. I get tons of compliments on my skin. I prefer full coverage to cover up melasma in a few areas, but otherwise healthy skin. I just turned 50, but could easily pass for 40.
I would buy this every time

Love this product will buy it every time! Great coverage and blends great!
Definitely worth it
Momma Bri from Idaho
The coverage and finish are great. Easy to use. The price is on the higher end for me.
Lauren Ashley from Erie, PA
I HATE this foundation. It is very creamy and hydrating, but it has no wearing ability. It constantly needed to be re-applied and would transfer very easily. Do not waste your money on this product.
Will buy again and from now on

Best coverage I've ever found.Light weight. Love this foundation
Outstanding Coverage Foundation
Naomii33463 from Greenacres,Fl
I live in humid SFl and this fountain provides me with outstanding flawless coverage and I have a hyperpigmentation issue.
Easily applied and lasts all day without touch up!
Not what expected!
Sarah from San Antonio
Once applied to face it already gave me a cakey look as well as dry look. I used the primer from cover FX and still didn't give me a hydrating look like it's suppose to.
Lizxhalo from VA
I love this! I'm almost 30 years old and I have sensitive, very dry skin. I needed something to withstand to my 16+ hour day. I like this foundation for many reasons. With some light powder and setting spray, it lasts all day!
Would not buy again.

This might work for some but did not for me. I use the P30 of the compact and the color is fine. However, when I bought the same color in this particular foundation the color was off. More yellow than the compact. Maybe because it's a different formula? I don't know. None of the other colors in the formula I tested in the store worked either. Also, even though it had good coverage, it did not last as long and also sunk into my skin. Guess I'll go back to the cream formula in the compact. For reference, my skin in dry but ended up have to use some powder after a couple of hours, which I. ever have to do.
Rather thick, patchy
Heather from Mapleton, UT
I'm over 40 with very dry skin so I thought this would be great, but even applied over my very hydrating moisturizer the texture is very thick and difficult to blend out. Due to the thickness it looked a bit heavy (and this was after sheering it out). Maybe it would be better applied with a sponge, but I prefer to use a brush or my fingers. I also found it settled into lines and disappeared in a patchy way throughout the day. For me this was most definitely not worth the price and there's no way I'd repurchase.

I have very sensitive skin and this is the only foundation that works for me. people always compliment my face as well because of how flawless it looks i use a setting powder on top of it as well.
Finally a light enough shade!
Yoyo from Tusa
I first got this in N10 and it was just a bit too yellow. I then bought N0 and it is pretty much the same shade as my cloud white skin. It is very hard to find light enough shades. This foundation does not seem to bother my sensitive skin. It's not the most moisturizing foundation so you make sure you do your skincare first. I have been using this over the Cover FX Gripping Primer and my makeup is not budging. It's nice to find a makeup without all the chemicals. I decided to get my mom this foundation in her shade so she can use this instead of Dermablend, which is drying in my opinion.

i got this a few months ago and i've been in love with it.
Sarah from Indiana
This foundation is everything I want in a foundation. It's dewy, luminous, looks beautiful on my skin. It's not the most long wearing, but that's okay. I would recommend this to anyone with dry skin.
I love Cover FX but no
Salem from CA
As much as I love cover fx this was a definite no, although I have oily skin I tend to be good after I put on my powder and setting spray but this foundation just wouldn't work with me. I literally would check up on it and take it off, it sunk into my pores and made them look bigger and was an oil spill on my face despite the claim.
Maybe a great foundation for others...
Shay 005 from Dallas, Texas
I wanted to try Cover FX foundation because I found out they are considered a clean makeup brand and they offered many different shade ranges including something for olive undertone people. I am African American and have been told by many make up artists that I have a olive golden undertone. It has been a real struggle trying to find a foundation that matches my skin tone especially my summertime skin tone. I ended up matching perfectly with N80 which surprised me after trying out different shades with this foundation. I used Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer, this foundation, and Milani Make it last setting spray. What I love about the foundation is it actually covered up my acne scarring when building up the foundation where the scars are. It is thick but when it's on your face it doesn't look thick. It agreed with my acne prone skin and didn't break me out. It gave me a nice shine look to my face. But now the cons: I have combination skin and the oily t zone area problem. I noticed this foundation started off shiny in a nice way on my face, but a couple of hours later, my face started to look greasy. Even when I blotted and sprayed the Milani spray back on top of it, I was still blotting every couple of hours through the day. I have tried different foundation with the Milani spray and never had that problem. I got very greasy in my T zone area of my face and greasy all over my face by the end of my work day. Still wanting to give this foundation its best shot with me I did my same routine for making my face up but added in some setting powder I already happened to have ( ELF HD definition setting powder). I noticed this time that as long as I applied the powder to my face every few hours, I was doing good. Noticed on doing both routines I still had the foundation showing two lines on my forehead. Make up easily came off a lot as well. It may be a great foundation for others but just not for me. Will be trying their other foundation.
My skin looks radiant

Oh how I love this product. It calmed my skin, feels so soft and lasts all day. I am extremely sensitive to all makeup and my skin adores this.
This Foundation will not make your skin itch!
UCflawless from Vancouver WA
Best almost organic foundation! Spreads on skin well, even thought it's non scented still smells a tad bit like coconuts. No itching or awkward smells!! Finish look is flawless and gives an airbrushed look. Affordable for the awesome results. It's thick till you blend. Shade variety. I'm in my late 30's & I've been using this product for a year. If your looking for a foundation that your skin isn't allergic to Then this is the product for You!!
Mkramer from Loganville, ga
I have been using this for two years. Great coverage and don't have to cake it on.
It's Okay, But I Would Not Repurchase
Dark Squirrel from Midwest
I wouldn't say I hate this foundation, but I have to mix it with Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth and a drop of jojoba oil to get it to look good on me. The foundation by itself is very thick and hard to spread on your face with either a damp sponge or a brush. I bought it half price during a sale, so I'm not mad at the price. And I do think it looks nice mixed with the other foundation and the drop of oil. I just would not purchase it again...especially at full price.

One of the best foundations I've ever tried it just works so well with my dry sensitive skin I've tried so many others but I keep coming back to this one. I would Highly recommend.
jinx342 from Grand Rapids, MI
I'm over 50 and went round and round trying to find a foundation that #1 matched my skin tone and #2, offered decent coverage without being heavy. I must have tried every single foundation at Ulta (bless the many associates who waited on me through the six month process). I finally found CoverFX and after some trial and error I am now a true believer in this product. I used to use MakeUpForever and this is just a better color for me and gives a more natural appearance - it can settle into fine lines, but at 52, you have to have a great skin care regime and use the less is more approach. Love this product and the drops when I need to correct the color for the seasons.
Will Buy Again

It's a little pricey BUT I will say it's worth it. I like the light weight feel on my face and it's the perfect shade for me.
