This set is an excellent value. If you follow the directions to a T, your at-home gel nails will be perfect and you will never want to go to the salon again. I have used this set twice now and I learned several tips from my first attempt (they turned out great the first time much better than regular nail polish, but they were not perfect) the second time I used the kit, my nails were almost perfect. I don't think you could tell the difference between a salon gel manicure and the one I did. My tips for a first time user: apply thin coats of the polish, you do not want the polish to pool near your nail beds, that will cause the polish to wear quickly and the polish may chip near the beds after a week or so. Make sure not to drip the polish on your skin, this can also cause the polish to wear/chip faster. I wore my first attempt for almost two weeks with very minimal chipping, the only chipping was near the nail beds were I had applied too much polish and the polish pooled. Apply thin coats of the polish, 3-4 coats will make the Red Carpet gel nail polish opaque. Do not spread thick coats, trust me it's worth your time to apply thin coats, and even though it may take you 45 minutes to do your own nails (including soaking off the old gel nails), this kit will save you time waiting at the salon and money... If you want to save some money in the future, you can purchase rubbing alcohol instead of the solution in the kit to clean your nails at the end. Also, to soak off the polish instead of buying the name-brand solution which is expensive, buy an off-brand acetone nail polish remover at a drug store or a dollar store. The kit uses these products but they are slightly doctored up and colored to look pretty. Instead of buying the Red Carpet light, buy another LED nail light at a drug or discount store, you'll save some money that way as well. Also, I think you could probably wear these nails for 21 days as advertised, but may not want to due to your nails growing back.
These new gel manicures are good. I do like the idea they have here. This particular brand has some good colors and is not too expensive. They go on pretty easily and once you get the hang of it can look really good. The negatives are this....they are almost chip resistant this is true..however I have the same problem with these that I have shellac which is once you get any kind of lift or snag or anything at the side..the whole thing peels off. The entire nail polish piece peeks off in one rubber like piece. This does make it easy to take off when you are ready but it also makes it bad if you want to keep it on for a long time. The other thing is...unless you do slowly and paint all the different steps on very carefully, you get stuff all over the cuticles which adds to the lifting and peeling. Any kind of goo on my cuticles I automatically try to get it off which leads to peeling. Lastly..the color options are good..however it takes about 3 coats for most of them to look true to color. When you get them that thick..again it adds to the peeling off. Not sure where I land here....I do like this product, my daughter did her nails and she is going on 2 weeks with no problem. Maybe just put it on...leave any excess goo and wait for it to wear off and you'll be fine...no picking. lol

I did not want to go to the nail salon so I purchased all of the red carpet products and light. I have done five manicures and I am extremely happy! If you use all of the products and all all of the instructions you should receive a wonderful manicure.

This is the first little gel polish kit I used on my own. So easy to do. They look great and last as long as when I get them done at a nail salon. So happy i can do own nails at home.

This set is amazing, hands down the best system I have used for gel nails. This brand has gotten them selves a lifelong customer.

I personally loved the kit! I always had my nails done in the salon but when the pandemic hit, i knew i had to take matters into my own hands. Especially with being a working mom, i needed something that was going to ensure quality and this kit was it! I already had a led nail lamp so all i needed to buy was the nail polish. It was as easy as regular nail polish. I always want to make sure i cover all my nails so i had a liiiiiittle problem with flooding my cuticle area but it's an easy fix! I highly recommend this to anyone.

Does it last as long as the salon? No, but my nails are not destroyed after either. I have done 3 sets. Each one has lasted 8-9 days. Much easier to remove than saloon shellac too. I love being able to have the look of shellac without paying for the cost. This kit has already paid for itself.
I can't review this brand's LED light because I already had one. I let each polish layer cure for 2-3 minutes with the light I have. You have to be careful that each Polish layer is thin otherwise it will sag/swish/bubble.

This was super easy to use (I have a different lamp than the one they make) and dried completely. Make sure you do use the cleanser at the end to remove the stickiness!

I just bought this kit today and it works great. It was flawless and the only thing I had to do is buy the color, after applying the color and the last step was the revitalize you have put the purify on a cotton ball and rub your nails and it looks amazing professionally done, no stickiness. I gave four stars because it would of been nice if a color was included in the kit.

It lasted longer than Sensationail, 1 week rather than a few hours. I wish I could get it to last 2 weeks. It's hard to keep it from pooling near the cuticles before I get a chance to cure it, even with very thin coats. I wish Ulta had more colors. The shelf is pretty bare every time I go.

Go with a different brand. This one does not last long at all.

This set is pretty awesome ! It includes everything you need to do a gel mani (except the gel nail color) at home. I would def recommend this set to everyone. It does have a strong chemical odor just like any nail polish.

I was going to pick up just a base and top coat for the nail lamp I just received, but I am so glad I picked up this kit instead. It had a couple more steps than I anticipated needing, but I'm glad I have them. The layers all cure very nicely and I ended up with a professional-looking manicure that I did myself!

This is the perfect bundle! I wanted to try to do a gel manicure without having to go to the salon. This kit is perfect. It had everything I needed to do my own nail at an affordable price. The kit has everything you need, except a color and a LED light. I did my nails and used this kit....totally worth it!!!!

Skeptical about the box set at first, but I still bought the last set, anyway. I'm so glad I did! I was stuck on using another brand from a big store, but I will say that I won't go back. The box set has everything in one place, and I believe this will last me a very long time as you don't need too much polish for any step - prep, paint, top coat. I type all day, and I haven't had anything chip yet. I typically leave the polish on for two weeks, but it might be longer. The only thing I would advise is that make sure you cure for the appropriate time depending on the light you have.

I loved this. I was shocked at how easy it was to do gel nail polish! Love it and will continue to use it

Went in for 4 weeks to buy the structure and brilliance but had to buy the kit (unnecessary expense) due to the others being out of stock. Too many items out... if the base coat and top coat are out...why buy the colors.

LITERALLY salon quality nails. I wasn't expecting it to work so well but this is going to save me so much money in the long run. The color selection is also great! I have never left a review before but decided I needed to on this product. Loved it loved it loved it.
BeautyScientist from Austin, TX
I bought this because I loved gel nails but didn't want to spend a ton going to a salon every few weeks. I bought a UV/LED nail lamp online to go with this and they work perfectly together! I love this kit includes EVERYTHING you need (besides the lamp) for gel nails, including cuticle oil, acetone and the post-gel cleanser. It's a great deal!

My thumbnails are wavy and split, break, and peel extremely easily. I can barely grow them 1/16 th of an inch and they are extremely vulnerable. My niece had a professional gel manicure that she liked so I bought a Red Carpet gel nail kit for hes. After talking with her about it I decided to try a clear gel polish on my thumbs. Here is my experience:
PROCESS: The instructions may seem complicated. IT WAS VERY EASY. I followed the instructions exactly and found them easy to follow, really not much work, and not complicated.
FINISH: I used prepping materials then just "Structure" and "Brilliance" to obtain a clear finish; NO color. It worked great to give me just that. The surface is quite shiny compared to no polish on my other nails.
WEAR: It has been about 1 week thus far. My nails were so short that I couldn't paint the tips to seal them but they have worn just fine--no chips or peels. Although I pushed my cuticles back, as the nail has grown there is a small ridge where the polish heaped up a bit against them at the base. I can feel it and see it ever so slightly. I have used a very fine emery board to smooth it out and will continue to do so until I need to replace the polish on then entire nail. If he tips are still in good shape I am not concerned about the bases if I can continue to keep it looking good. Next time I will be careful to apply the polish sparingly at the base to create a subtle edge rather than pushing a lot of polish up against the base creating a "wall".
RESUTS: It is really too soon to tell if this will help me grow my thumbnails to a reasonable length. I can feel the added thickness at the ends and it has remained since day 1 without any special attempt to protect my nails--through gardening, dish washing, swimming in chlorine, working with glue, etc. I will try to follow up in a few months to report on how well it has worked towards my goal.

The Structure turned my brush hard after using in sunlight. Just be sure to keep direct light away from it.

The product is great and my mani/pedi lasts longer than I ever expected. I just don't like the process of removal. I wish it was as easy as regular polish to remove

This is a really good kit to have if you do your own gel at home. It has everything you need in it.
WI-girl from Wisconsin
If you have the time and want to save money, do a gel manicure yourself. It takes about 20 minutes about every 2 1/2 to 3 weeks... that's how long it will last. Saving money doing it myself.

I have been using another brand for years and when I ran out of supplies I wanted to give this brand a try. I'm so glad I did and will never go back! It goes on so quickly and easily, and it truly lasts the full 2 weeks without chips. Also love the color variety, and the cuticle oil the kit comes with.
