Most Helpful Positive Review Dream lipstick (for me!)
This is my dream lipstick. I've been looking for a buildable red lipstick that doesn't feel heavy and doesn't dry my lips out. Sometimes I like just a -hint- of red, sometimes more, but I NEVER want to feel like my lips are dry or sticky. This lip butter is so smooth and soothing, and the color really varies between soft and bold depending on how heavy your hand is in applying (I have Rio). It fades off pretty easily, which I don't mind- I've come to terms with the fact that no lipstick with a texture I like will have staying power. What I really love about this lip butter is how smoothly it wears off. No weird ring around my mouth, just softer and softer red into pink. Plus, it's not super matte or super glossy, just a nice shine like a lip balm.
I think the "blue" that people are noticing is from the pigment staining dry skin. With Rio, the dry parts of my lip will be stained noticeably pink for the rest of the day after I use it- I'm assuming whatever color causes the blue has heavier blue pigments. But that pigmentation is part of what makes this lipstick still look good while it wears off.
Most Helpful Critical Review Nasty stale smell and taste!
Omg I have been eyeing this stuff all summer long and decided to buy it. WOW! The smell was soooo bad I had to wipe it off my lips. I know it's bad because I just wanted a beauty influencer used hers out of the new kit's that just came out and she said wow this smells like the bronzer (coconuts). She said it even tastes good. I even took the lid off at the store to see what it smelled like. It had no smell but the second it hit my lips I just about gagged. Don't get me wrong the feeling and the color is off the charts wonderful but that smell is beyond offensive. I am just broken hearted because I love the color (Mauvin' to Brazil) but I couldn't think of kissing my hubby with this on my lips. Taking it back for sure.
Reviewed by 159 customers Awful smell- like rancid oil

I bought this today, and the colour (Brazilian Nut) is AMAZING!! Texture is amazing. But it stinks! It is really hard to wear due to the smell, so much so, that I am still on the fence about whether to keep it or not. It smells like the oils went bad in the product. Clearly this is something people have been writing about for a year now.

It's my go to lipstick. It's smooth and buttery and it glides to your lips effortlessly. The colors are also very neutral would wear them every day

for lips: its slippery and thick, wouldn't reccomend.
but I use it for a dewy blush look and it reminds me of the Nudestix dewy blush

I figured I'd given this a try in Mauvin to Brazil. Great color/lip feel. WORST taste - like the old school Wet N' Wild lipsticks.
Bummer couldnt use it cause of the SPF
Jane from California
I cannot use this lipstick because of the SPF ingredients in it but ive heard it was a good product i rated it 5 star based on other people's opinion
Could Have Been Better
MrsAwesomeSapp from California
This had so much potential! I got the Mauvin to Brazil and Pinkini colours, and they are beautiful! Exactly what I've been looking for. The downside is twofold: 1. It smells horrendous - like mildew clothes 2. The sunscreen is not the type you'd want to ingest, which is what happens with lip products. If they fixed those two things, this product would be a 10/10.
Makeup junkie from NY
This is a messy lipstick.
Only way to apply it is with your finger, after lipliner, so it doesn't bleed.
But it feels nourishing, and looks good if you do it that way, tastes bitter, still wear it in summer because it has spf.
really like this product
jazzimomma from canada
really like this, smells great, tastes great and its so buttery. some people reviewed that it smells and tastes aweful & probably because of the spf but Im in Canada and mine doesnt have spf & smells awesome so not sure if they reformulated it recently but I kinda like it, just wish it had a better lasting effect.

I was looking for a product with spf but wanted a good amount of color. after some research i found this murumuru Butter lip Cream. I LOVE IT. it is very pigmented it was what i was looking for and more. I will be stocking up and purchasing in other colors.
Moisturizing Lip Tint
Liv T from Milwaukee, WI
I have had this lip cream for over a year now and it's perfect for what I need. For those who want a subtle lip tint/stain, this is so creamy and moisturizing, definitely feels like a chapstick. Maybe not the most opaque thing. It does wear off after a little while, but I reapply anyways so my lips don't feel dry and SPF is awesome. Favorite color is Mauvin to Brazil, the online pictures here don't quite match it in person.

This is great inexpensive lip cream with SPF coverage.
Good moisturizing product
Stella from Missouri
This lip cream gives a HORRIBLE smell when you first open it but after a quite amount of time, the smell goes away. Great hydration, awesome color, just gently tap it on the lips and it'll give a glossy beautiful look (I had Acai Berry). The problem is because it's too soft, it breaks and melts easily, gotta be careful with it, stay away from heat.
cream and blot
lex from Algonquin
perfect for blotting on my lips and smearing it out. gives lips a nice flesh color with tint if you do it that way. The formula is very lip gloss creamy so be easy when you put it on. That is why I like to dab it on the lips. I love how it looks that way!
Air them out then enjoy
SelahR from Texas
These are so comfortable to wear and I love the colors. Soaking up the sun really surprised me in how much I love it (and I'm very pale so that color shouldn't work but it's a lovely Bellini peachy on me perfect for summer). These do smell bad at first. I found that if I apply them gently across a napkin (to get the top layer off) and let them air out for about 24 hours, the bad taste and bad smell disappear. These are soft so do not extend the product beyond the rim of they'll get stuck and smear all over the cap (that's my only complaint, how melty they are, but it's the oils that make this great so it's a toss up). A little goes a long way, and the colors are buildable. They also blend well. I really enjoy these, bought 8 colors.
Corinnanana from OH
The one I have (Brazilian sunset) is surprisingly good! It has a fresh sweet scent and taste, color pay off for a lip cream is great. Very moisturizing (soft lips hoho)! Will definitely repurchase this one. (not sure about all those bad reviews, guess they need to do better with their quality control? hope they could fix this issue cuz I really enjoy this formula)
Co from Maine
The color was way off, it was melted as soon as I opened it, and it looks TERRIBLE if you have drier lips. It literally looks like melted wax on your lips and the coverage is bad.
Smells like roach poison!
Nataliya from Houston
Don't buy it. It smells bad and doesn't even look so good.
Love the color...but
JP from Lincoln, Ne
So excited to get the mauvin to Brazil, its a great shade, but it stinks soooo bad!!!!!! Like so much that I don't know if I can stand to wear it. So disappointing!
Vanessa from Toronto, On, Canada
Mauvin' to Brazil - love the colour and the quality, but I cannot stand the smell. I honestly thought that I had gotten an old one that had gone off... until I read the other reviews.
This is really horrible and I can't even cover it up with another product on top of it.
not worth it
KB from Utah
This product smells good but it melts so fast. Before you can even get it on your lips, it's already melting. It is also messy around the packaging.
Shiny intense color
J. Jenzalez from small town, WI
Shiny balm with intense color, feathers slightly around edges, smells great, tastes good but one ingredient tastes slightly off (probably sunscreen), color lasts for several hours, very soft and melts a little on lips, can't be built up too much because it's oily and will bleed but one coat is intense and beautiful. I wear it alone or over a long wear matte lip color when I'm jogging or spending time outside for the sun protection. Minus one star because of the taste (reminds me of petroleum jelly) and bleeding. I have department store brands with SPF that taste normal and stay put, but cost 3X more.
My My My from Washington state
So bummed it tastes bad, because the color is rich and the texture moisturizing. But by bad, I mean it tasted so bad I couldn't think about anything else when I wore it. Returned it.
BEST Cream Blush I've Ever Purchased
yumit18 from Denver
Originally tried this as a lip color and found it too pigmented for its level of "slippiness." Decided to try it as a cream blush and WOW. When patted between your fingers it sheers out to the perfect level of buildable to sheer color that provides impact without clownishness. Subtly sheeny enough to provide its own highlight within the blush formula itself. Works very well melted down into a metal tin for magnetic palettes
Good for dry lips, don't apply too much!!
FLgirl09 from undisclosed
So I recently got this on a whim because I saw "butter" and "spf," and as a girl who just wants a little color and protection for my dry lips I thought this was perfect! Now, it is CREAMY. I made the mistake of applying it directly to my lips and soo much came off that I didn't like it. But if you apply it with a lip brush or your fingers, it's perfect!! Definitely not transfer-proof it long-lasting but keeps my lips moisturized with a nice tint of color throughout the day, which is what I prefer.
