The color is in no way the same as on box. It is a silver/gray blonde I aged ten years in the mirror after applying . I am extremely disappointed.

Comments about L'Oréal Multi-Tonal Color System:

I read great reviews on this and decided to give it a whirl. I loved the face that it has both the hair color and highlight together. It was extremely easy to use. My only complaint is it's very time consuming. You dye your hair and dry it before doing the highlights.

Comments about L'Oréal Multi-Tonal Color System:

i usually have my hair done professionally. my stylists uses three blond shades on my hair and it looks fantastic. However, when money is tight I turn to this product to get me by. I have used it three times in a row and my hair still looks professionally done. Even friends can't tell I haven't seen my stylist that month. I usually just apply it to the roots in a baliage technique for 25 minutes so the gray gets covered and then comb it through to the ends for 5 more minutes, I don't saturate the rest of the hair as i want to keep those light highlights. When the top starts looking too dark I will do the highlights but have noticed you need to keep it on longer than they say so it doesn't turn brassy. Use foil to keep the highlighted hair off the darker areas. I don't highlight every time I use this product though. I would also advise using a purple shampoo to keep the brass away. I use dry bar blonde ale shampoo and conditioner.

I bought this product because I love the look of highlights, but can't afford to have them done professionally. This product is easy to use, gives great results, and can be adjusted to give just the right amount of highlights. As a bonus, the base color was the color I was searching for so long.

I have been using this product for years. The only complaint that I have is I wish they had more tones between the tones offered. Toasted coconut is a little too orangy and brassy for me, but to go to the next lightest offering is too light. Otherwise, I do like this product. I have used several from dark chocolate cherry to the lightest tone.

This took awhile, not 20 min. You have to dye your hair first then wash and blow dry it and then lighten it and wash again.

I have dyed black hair, and tried to lighten it and ended up hot roots/banding. If I use the cherry chocolate mousse, will the all over color lighten my dark hair? Or should I just try to highlight it to cover the banding? I don't know what to do

Hi Dee! Those numbers represent the undertones in the haircolor. For instance, a .1 means there is an Ash undertone while a .2 is more of an Iridescent undertone, and a .0 would mean it is a neutral shade. We hope this helps!

I have naturally medium brown hair that I've been getting colored at s salon for years. The color is a caramel brown with all over chunky light golden blonde highlights. Actually I've had this same color so often that it appears predominantly blonde except the top 2 or 3 inches where the Carmel color is and it's about 50/50 there. I am thinking of using ginger twist in this product. What I would like is coppery red hair with golden blonde highlights. Will this do the trick? I'm worried that the red will be too dark and the highlights won't be prominent enough. Also, a bit worried that the red might look a bit pink on my highlights. And tips/advice/suggestions??

The Couleur Experte kits of biscotti 7.0 and Brioche 6.3 don't have any red in the base colors. There is no pigment in any of the lighteners.

Hello, I usually get my hair colored and highlighted at a salon. Though, it's been about 4 or 5 months since I've had it done. My natural hair color is dirty blond. I have short hair to my ear lobe with layers. Would you recommend this product and I like the colors Biscotti 7.0 or 7.1 Vanilla Icing? I'm just nervous that my hair will turn orange. Your response would be greatly appreciated?

Thank you for inquiring about our products! If your natural hair color is a dark blonde, you can use either of those shades. The only time you should see orange is if you are using a shade too light for your natural hair color. The 7.1 is a Dark Ash Blonde. To prevent any orange or red tones the ash is the best option.

My hair is highlighted blonde but I have so much light gray that, unless I go with another option I'll just have blonde streaks on top of gray. My natural color used to be medium to dark blonde but I've always preferred a weave to make it look lighter and have been able to go around 4 months between weaves as there isn't a very drastic contrast as my hair grows out. Will this cover the gray and which color would you recommend? Can I apply it myself or will I need help?

The Couleur Experte is first an all over color and then second a highlighting kit. If your natural hair is in the medium to dark blonde family, yes you can use 7.0 Dark Blonde in the Couleur Experte. This product will also cover your gray!

Hello! We do not have a light blonde shade in our Couleur Experte line. The closest would be 8.0 Medium Blonde Toasted Coconut, which is a shade darker than the 9 Natural Blonde. If you want to put highlights on top of your 9 Natural Blonde, we recommend checking out our Touch-On Highlights in H90 Iced Champagne!
