Most Helpful Positive Review LET ME TELL YAH LET ME TELL YAH! I ordered these and I was so excited to have a complete brush set. I'm someone who isn't super serious about my eye look. I'm generally pretty simple. But when I go out MY EYES ARE GOING OUT WITH ME. So basically I've been using one brush to try and do the job of three or four brushes. ANYWAYS. You pull the brushes out of the case and take the plastic off and you hear angels singing. I pull up a Jaclyn Dark Magic and brush demo (uhm dark magic is life) and get to work. I finish my look. The brushes did great, soft on the lids, held product and placed it beautifully. I just about died. And then I went to go clean my brushes because....uh hello I don't need a green eye look when I'm going for a natural brown? And I will say my one AND ONLY complaint about this brush set it no matter how careful you are with cleaning those darn fluffy brushes. As soon as you get the water out of them, they start to fray outwards a bit instead of staying in a relative dome shape. *Heavy Sigh* But at the end of the day if you're like me and are tired of trying these YouTube tutorials and it not coming out like the ladies or lasses on screen because you're using the brushes you took from yah mommas makeup bag when y'all were ten...this is the set to buy. All you gotta remember is to be gentle with them. Just like how yah gotta be gentle with the Becca Highlights. If yah just LOOK at them funny they break apart! But that's for another review *intense shoulder shrug*. Buy em. Enjoy em.
Most Helpful Critical Review There are much better brushes for less For starters, ALL of these are Morphe brushes that Linda and Jaclyn tried to rebrand by putting "JH" with a number following it on them. For the most part, I feel like I am roughly exfoliating my eyelids when I use these. When I dip them into my eyeshadow pan, it breaks up the eyeshadow. I decided to stop using them in my Natasha Denona, ABH and UD palettes because they are my most loved palettes. I will only use these brushes with my Colourpop shadows. Furthermore, if I don't pick up other brushes to blend after using these, I have harsh lines. There are 2 of the brushes that I really like, which you can buy separately. It's the Morphe 504 and 573. You can get them for $15 and use Ulta's $3.50 coupon. The JH33 idea is nice, and if it didn't tear my eyelid up, I would be singing many praises for it, but it can be duped and found cheaper as well. If you're anything like me, eyeshadow palettes being your weakness, I imagine you have a brush, or many brushes that are more gentle but effective, pick up and lay down color and blend better than what most of the brushes in this collection do. There's simply nothing new about this collection. Although these are drugstore priced, other brush kits or collections that are cheaper do a better job without making your eyelids raw.
Shedding. Yes, they shed. They also lose even more quality after washing, and there's no way around washing them. I gave 2 stars for the brushes I mentioned above that are good. I went on a dupe Hunt because I wanted to see how cheaply I could replace the JH brushes.
•e.l.f.'s Blending Brush is nearly identical to Morphe's JH33 Universal Blender Brush and it doesn't hurt.
•JH42 Brow Bone Highlight Brush is easily duped with e.l.f.'s Eyeshadow Brush
The others are nothing special, nothing that can't be duped for a cheaper brush.

These brushes are beautiful and blend very nicely. I'm only giving 4 stars because I feel like they shed more than they should and one of the brushes fell apart after light use. I hot glued the head back on because I love these brushes!
Poor quality 1
Leira from Florida
These brushes are awful. They do no blend at all and leave my shadow streaky, which I never had an issue blending until I switched to these brushes. The bristles are constantly falling out.
I thought Morphe was supposed to be good.
I reach for these every time I do my makeup 5

I am so glad I got these brushes. I was between a few different sets before finally choosing this one. I couldn't be happier
HORRIBLE 1
Vianna from Houston
After ONE wash these brushes were ruined. I was very gentle while washing these brushes and as I set them down to dry they started spreading like dandelions! They do not keep their shape at all.
Definitely worth it 5

I've had these brushes since May and honestly these are my favorite. I can literally create different looks whether I want a wing or a cut crease. I highly recommend.
High quality brushes 5

This is definitely a set to include in anyone's makeup kit. I own a set for myself and a set for my makeup kit to use on clients. I enjoy this especially for brides as it has such an elegant look to them and the quality of the bristles are soft to the touch. When it comes to applying makeup, I've had no issues whatsoever- the brushes apply shadows smoothly and keep the colors rich on application when using what they're intended for. This is the most perfect set of brushes.
good for beginners 5

i bought this over a year ago and have been using it ever since. i had absolutely no experience with eyeshadow but this set gave me no problems at all and seemed to have all the essential brushes. i still use it to this day and don't think about changing
I've had them since they released 5
FLGirlBeauty86 from gainesville, fl
I've had these brushes since their release and I regularly wash them every 10 days so ive had them for quite some time. I have a large collection of makeup brushes but I still always reach for these. They hold up very well with regular washing and i haven't experienced any shedding at all. I love how these apply eyeshadow and I haven't found a packing brush that packs the same punch as the one in this one. I also very much enjoy the smaller detail brushes. The large fluffy all over brush is perfect for laying down a transition shade or wash of color. i literally use these brushes everytime i do my makeup. I bought another morphe brush set that had black handles ( I think they were the basic one not any collab ones) and those were horrible so I think the ones that are collaborations are better made i.m.o.

Best eyeshadow brushes ever. Hands down. You get 8 incredible high quality brushes in a sparkly travel bag! They are so easy to work with and make your eyeshadow application flawless. They are by far my favorite brushes that I own. And the price is just right! :)
Great quality and variety for a reasonable price 5
Lex from Virginia
Offers more variety than other cheaper brush sets but does not break the bank and still covers all everyday necessary eye brushes

I received these brushes as a gift, and I am in love with them. I am so picky with brush quality, and was skeptical because Morphe tends to be hit or miss, but these are great!
Nice at first 3
Tina from Los Angeles, CA
The brush set is a good value but I washed them once and it doesn't retain it's shape. The larger fluffy blending brushes became expanded and frayed. I accidentally dropped the JH40 precise blending brush from less than eye level to my restroom sink and it cracked. So disappointed..
Gets scratchy after a short time! 1
Ang from Bergen County, NJ
I have the JH 30 blending brush and not even 2 months of everyday use, it hurts my lids,it's rough and scratchy. I have many Morphe brushes from different lines within the brand and the same thing happens with every Morphe brush after a short amount of time. I have ELF & BH brushes for at least 2 YEARS that have not gotten this way, And they're cheaper! I do not recommend Morphe brushes.
I would totally but them again 5

Absolutely looove these brush they have such a good texture to them !
Good at first, but after one wash... 2
Abby from Maryland
I bought this to have more variety of brushes to help with my eyeshadow application. At first, the brushes seemed very good, and very user-friendly, but some were scratchy especially the darker ones. I washed them a week later, and immediately the brushes already are shedding and breaking apart. This is unusual as I have another brush set from BH Cosmetics (which is half the price) maintaining shape and very smooth with application after multiple uses and washings. I do not recommend buying Morphe brushes.
AMAZING!! 5

I wanted this set forever! I am so glad my husband made me buy it! They blend the shadow so well, I will definitely be buying the whole set! If you are on the fence about it get them!!
They were good at first 1
Horrible from Dallas
After one wash the brush handle cracked and the brush looked horrible after washing them, very disappointed
Surprised 4

I like the regular morphe brushes, but compared to these JH ones? These are a lot softer and blend so soft. Very happy with these.
Beginner friendly; Highly recommend. 5
DeeDee from New York
For a long time I was debating on whether or not to get these brushes and I am so glad I did! I've read the negative comments and I am a little surprised by them...I do think people need to learn how to separate the content from the creator. I am not a fan of JH nor do I watch her videos; I just wanted a simple basic eyeshadow brush set. These are even more than what I need to complete a simple everyday eye-look, and they are very standard quality for Morphe. They do not feel scratchy, they are quite soft but firm enough to pick up shadow and blend. I'm not new to makeup, I have so many other brushes from different brands and wanted to add more to my collection and I find myself grabbing these often. I definitely recommend!
I love it 😍 5
