Fire & Shine

A blaze of fall color – from eyes to lips.

Face – Total Glow

Turn up those lights! But remember, you can’t properly highlight if you’re starting with dull skin.

1. Make friends with gel foundation. It combines the benefits of a BB and CC cream – so you get even skin and mega moisture all in one! Our pick: BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel Hydrating Cream.

2. Focus on the tops of the cheekbones and make them really glow. Tap a few drops of Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow Highlighter. Don’t forget your chin, cupid’s bow and down the bridge of your nose, too.

Eyes – Total HEAT in Reds, Oranges & Earthy Browns

Ready to turn up the heat?
Build layers of scorched neutrals on the lids with just one palette.

1. Get a sizzling base. Use the Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette. Apply a shimmer shade up to the crease—we used Scorched.

2. Spice it up with matte to the inner eyes, brushing it up to the brow. We used Cayenne.

3. Layer in more heat. Apply En Fuego on the crease and up to the brow. Continue in a ‘V’ shape around the outer corner and below the eye.

4. Deepen the impact. On the outer upper corner, blend Ashes until you get a smokey look – darker on the edges, lighter in the center of the lid.

5. Add a little spark. Using loose shimmer pigment, press into the center of the eye. For this fiery look, we used NYX Professional Makeup Pigments in Stunner.

Tip: With pigments, remember: Less is more. One tap of the jar with your finger will give you enough to
start with.

6. Wing it out. A black cat eye adds intensity. Make it thick, at least ¼ inch. A liquid formula, like Butter London Glazen Lustrous Liner in Disco, goes on smoothest. First draw the outline, using the tip of your line – helps you be more precise! Then fill in.

7. Draw your heat underneath. Fill inside and underneath the lower lash line with maroon – Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Alkaline – then create a smudged effect by blending in Ashes with a brush.

8. Light up the corners. To make your eyes look bigger, make the inner corners of your eyes pop with a glitter, like Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow in Gilded Gold. (You’ll want to put primer on the brush first to make the foil stick.)

9. Add falsies. Use Ardell’s Faux Mink Lash #810 and then coat with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Did you know? You should apply mascara after applying falsies, not before. When you apply mascara on top of falsies you get a more authentic lash look – gives lashes a deeper, truer shade and length!

Lips – Liquidized!

A liquid metal lip is the new bold.

1. Line, define. Starting at the cupid’s bow, line lips with a longlasting pencil, like Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip Liner Pencil in Café Au Lait.

About that cupid’s bow … try drawing a little “x” on top of it and then a centimeter line at the center of the bottom lip – gives you a guideline for
precise application!

2. Pour on the liquid. Fill in your lips with a new metallic fave: Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip in Moscow Muled – a fiery red that goes well with those heat eyes.

Hair – Crimson Highlights

Ribbons of color add pop and
illuminate the face.

“You can really shine bright with a melting of luxe reds and deep-rich browns. It’s a strong and daring combination.”

Got curl? Keep those waves smooth and defined with a refining cream, like Redken Curvaceous Curl Refiner. Work it into damp hair and then air-dry or diffuse. Another helper is Redken Frizz Dismiss, a smoothing lotion spray that, in addition to calming any frizz, also detangles and increases manageability.
