Bronze Ambition

There's more than one way to glow

Bronze hues makes your skin look sun-kissed, but they're not just for summer loving. This fall, play with various shades on your face, eyes and lips. Matte and shimmer formulas are hot – a fun way to try the trend.

  • FACE

Did you know that bronzer also makes a great blush? Get cheeky and nail the golden goddess look with pressed powder bronzer. Urban Decay’s Beached Bronzer is a fave. The super-soft formula applies smoothly, doesn't streak and gives you radiance
    that lasts.

Blur imperfections with the creamy Ulta Beauty Collection Matte Bronzer. Start blending with a brush right below your hairline, and move around to your cheekbones to add a little more color.

If you're into anti-aging (um, yes, we all should be!), try It Cosmetics Sunshine in a Compact Vitality Anti-Aging Matte Bronzer, a matte bronzer that is packed with anti-aging ingredients. Did we also mention that the universal matte shade gives a perfect hint of glow to all skin tones? Love.

  • EYE

Bronze eyeliner is a subtle way to move slowly into the trend. Then, if you're loving the vibe, take it next level and apply a warm, neutral shadow to show your fiery side. (Note: On their own, bronze hues can feel rustic, but throw in a metallic shade and your look gets a lot more urban.)

For liner, the Professional Makeup Slide On Eye Pencil from NYX is silky soft and so pigmented. It's a great complement to any amber-hued shadow. Start bold on your lash line, then go a bit thinner to define
    your waterline.

Play with palettes to find your favorite shadow color and combination. Try a shade from the Smashbox Cover Shot Ablaze palette, which has eight desert-inspired shades in a purse-sized compact. We love to start with a deep bronze shade, then layer with something a little lighter. (Think warm gold for dinner with friends or shimmery rose for date night.)

  • LIPS

Copper lips. So hip. A great way to test the bronze trend – it's as easy as swipe on, wipe off!

For shimmer and shine, try MAC Lip Gloss in Oh Baby, which can be worn on its own or over lip pencil and lipstick. Or for something deeper and more daring, try Urban Decay’s Vice Lipstick Metallized in Conspiracy—you'll get a plum-bronze shimmer.

You might hear that you can't do a colorful bold lip with a colorful bold eye—well, the reverse is true with bronze. You can go bronze all over. Too much bronze is
    never enough!
