Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Finish Sponge:

I use this product to apply foundation, and I think it works great. If you do not want to spend the money on a beauty blender, this is a great alternative.

I use it wet for applying liquid foundation and it covers evenly and has sharp enough edges to get into the corners of my nose and eyes. Applies well and doesn't leave streaks or blotches.

        Blends w/ more effort

        By ChelsBoo

        from San Francisco, CA

Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Finish Sponge:

The sponge does expand and is squishy when wet BUT it's texture is coarse comparing it to a Beauty Blender or to a Real Tech. Miracle Sponge. At first applying my foundation with this Sponge, the foundation wasn't blending into my skin smoothly and was texturizing my skin instead. After continuing to pounce the Sponge over the entire face.. it did end up blending smoothly eventually! It gets the job done... just longer than the more popular sponges! :T

Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Finish Sponge:

I used this with my cream foundation and EW! The application made my skin look uneven and so blotchy. I had to smooth it all down with my fingers which only took off half of the layer of foundation I had laid down. I used it damp but I don't think the application would be any different if it was dry. The sponge has large holes so that's the only reason why it applied so bad. Wouldn't use this again for foundation. I've used one of your sponges before and they apply wonderfully but this one just sucked big time.

Comments about Real Techniques Miracle Finish Sponge:

I am new to using sponges....I have been a BareMinerals gal for 20+ years but wanted something to help apply tinted moisturizer/sunscreen. My sister raved about this sponge so I bought it. The price sure is right but I thought it was a bit rough......not very dense, I would say, porous... I have a knockoff one I have had forever and used that to "pounce" (LOL) the moisturizer on my face and I do like it a bit better.

I was disappointed with this product because I assumed with it being a sponge that it would expand a lot more than it did. It was also not as soft once wet and somewhat harsh on the skin.

                      A:

                      Hi Sierra,

Great question. This sponge is more porous than the original orange Miracle Complexion Sponge, mainly because we don't want the products you're using to finish (blush, highlighter, etc) to be applied as heavily as a foundation would.

                      That's the biggest difference.

                      Thanks!
