Most Helpful Positive Review The new physician Formula Mineral Wear loose powder
I have used Physicians Formula loose powder for many years. I like that it's talc free and fragrance-free. I'm very sensitive to Talc it makes my skin itch and fragrances cause issues with my sinuses. I was disappointed when I couldn't find the Physicians loose powder for a while due to repackaging being done and all the stores were out of it. I picked up the new Physicians Formula Mineral Wear loose powder yesterday. First I'd like to say that I like that they have a better selection of colors choices; although still limited on selection of color. The medium beige is closer to my skin tone than any of the colors in the previous years of the Mineral Wear loose powders. It goes on very lightweight. However, it doesn't have the coverage that the previous Mineral Wear loose powders had. The previous loose powders had great coverage almost like a finished Foundation look which was really nice. I personally don't wear Foundation I like tinted moisturizers . So the part of the Tinted Moisturizer that doesn't cover real well the powder kind of gave a little bit of a covering finish which was great .The new Mineral Wear loose powder does not have that kind of coverage. if you're looking for a powder with more coverage the new Mineral Wear loose powder os not going to give you the coverage that the previous loose powder has. As for the ingredient listing, seems to be basically pretty close to the previous Mineral Wear loose powders. So all in all it's okay, but I prefer the previous mineral wear loose powder by physicians over this new one. The bottom line : if you want a powder that is lightweight and you don't want mulch coverage, than the new Mineral Wear loose powder is for you.
Most Helpful Critical Review It's alright
I bought this product originally thinking that it was a loose setting powder by Physicians formula since they only have pressed setting powder. It works okay as a setting powder, has little (very tiny) specks of glitter to add that luminescent finish. Not matte, not dewy; but kind of a radiant finish that I'm personally not into. I used it to bake and I like the puff that's included to bake since I don't own any sort of sponge. The included sponge is very hard though. Needs a lot of blending to blend out the baking areas.

I've used the old style of this powder for over a decade. Just got the new one and within minutes it felt like I had a chemical burn all over my face. I've washed it all off and I still feel like my face is burning hours later.
Good Product, Bad Packaging
Ashley from Chicago
The powder is nice, very smooth and slightly glowy. I have oily skin and love dusting this over a matte foundation for a little glow. Packaging is horrible though, I poured it into an empty of a different loose powder to make it work!
Beautiful! No Shine!
Winter from Teague, Tx
This is a great powder for oily skin! I did not have any shine through out the day! I pressed it into my skin instead of dusting my face with it.

I use daily to cover freckles and prevent more sun damage. I apply sunscreen too.
I really like this product and hopefully it does become discontinued.
I liked the old container better.
Jus from Marquette, MI
I have been using this brand of powder for 13 years and love it over foundation. I have tried several different brands and types. Gives me a smooth natural look without making me look "unnatural and photoshopped" I also love that I don't have to spend an arm and a leg for it. This powder even stays on well after taking a 200°F sauna! The formula has changed slightly over the years I've been using it, but overall I still love using it. I wish we actually had it in our local Ulta store, it's still worth it for me, ordering it online.
My Lady from Ohio
It just does not create a smooth coverage. The container is a pain to use. It makes a mess. The longer I wear it, the worse it looks. Covergirl is better.
Hate the new formula / container
Joyful from Nc
This use to be my go to and all i would use but hate the new container and the sponge brush just makes a mess!!!!! The formula seem so different too! Wish they would go back to the egg shape top with brush and old formula! Only then will i buy this ! Looking for a new product!
Best makeup I've used
Shanna from GA
This mineral makeup is light with perfect coverage.

Wonderful foundation. It is finely milled and looks beautiful on the skin. Please continue to make this foundation.
Would give this ZERO stars if I could
amandalbi from Jersey Shore
This is awful. I have been wearing Physicians Formula loose airbrushing mineral powder for years. I am so disappointed by the new packaging... wish I saved my old one. Even the formula seems different. I'm really upset I'll need to find a new brand. Won't buy this again.
New Package and Formula Are Terrible
Jayme from Seattle
Physicians formula lost me as a customer with this one. Their old formula and package was a lot better. This is just terrible. Will not buy again.

I just wear this over primer, it covers any flaws and discoloration without feeling heavy
The reviews shocked me
Physicians formula from Greensboro
Honestly though... I've been wearing this foundation for years! I get the most creamy, natural finish from it! I do not use the applicator it comes with - I use a dense powder face brush from bare minerals. You HAVE to use a dense brush or it won't do it's job very well. I also have very dry skin and this never clings or makes me dry. The one and only problem with this is I wish they had more than one color but luckily it's a perfect match for me.
Nice mineral powder with spf
OrlandoLisa from Orlando
I like this powder. It goes on well (using a brush) over moisturizer. The sponge it comes with is terrible. I mean really unusable. It's only purpose seems to be to keep product in the bottom section of the container. I'd rather get a better packaging (wider with a way to close the holes) with no applicator for my money.

I use this every day buffed on as a light coverage foundation and to set concealer. It's glowy, natural looking and just lovely!
A good powder for dry skin!
Sienna from Phoenix
I originally bought this as a setting powder but I used it as foundation in a pinch and realized how beautiful it is! Very natural, non-powdery looking. I have dry skin and when applied over my moisturizer this has a natural finish- not matte nor dewy. The shade "translucent" has color to it- it's a good color match for my light skin tone. I'd recommend this if you're looking for a light-coverage foundation or a setting powder with a little extra coverage. The sponge applicator this comes with is useless in my opinion- I tap some of the powder into the cap and apply it with a foundation brush, works much better.
I love this powder!!!

Its affordable compared to my Nars setting powder and let me just say its beautiful. Its not for everyone but i love the way it makes my skin look will definitely keep buying
It's a GLOWY Powder
Molly from New Jersey
I bought this powder after seeing "thattayla" used it, and said it's good for dry skin, which I have. I use it after foundation/concealer, on my cheeks and forehead. It's NOT good for setting the under eyes or baking. It's good for setting the rest of your face. I use a powder brush and I stamp lightly. I'm giving it 3 stars, because when I used this with only concealer underneath (not foundation) it completely broke apart on my face and nose. However, the concealer I use (by Milani) is very thick, and maybe if I used a more liquid concealer it wouldn't have broken apart.

I tried 2 different shades and both of them look like I am just putting highlighter all over my face. All I was able to see was bright white almost metallic it had no color even though it looks colored. Was so excited to get this and tried it right when it came. So disappointing! Returning to store and will not buy again.
Molly from Hanover, PA
It appears to be the same make-up that they used to have packaged in a different, much better way! This new applicator is impossible to use and what a mess! I ended up putting the make-up into the old container with the stiff applicator brush. I haven't found it sold like the old way since and I'm very disappointed. I will not buy it again in the current container. What a shame!
KR from Erie, PA
Awful product change! I had used their previous talc-free loose powder for years, it was the best! This stuff is just blah. The narrow jar makes it difficult to get the powder onto a normal brush, the shades are all off - the "sand" color made me look orange! And to top it all off, I started breaking out like crazy...haven't had a zit in years, start using this and I'm breaking out all over! Returned to store and switched to Elf.
Nita from Texas
Bought this on a whim and I instantly regretted it after applying it on my face. The applicator is useless and this stuff looks so cakey on my face. It makes whatever lines I have look so ugly and my pores are so visible. This powder is a no go for me.
Love this powder!

LOVE THIS LOOSE POWDER!!!

This is so good for a light dusting over the skin. This isn't for baking.
It's not translucent, but still like it
Staci from Tampa, FL
I got this powder to use when setting concealer but it almost creates coverage like in a bare minerals kind of way so I've been using it on top of my bb cream for a more breathable summer foundation. It is not translucent it has pigment
