Comments about Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30:

Yes, this is a pricey lip balm. But I think it's worth the money. I got the color Summer Crush. The ingredients are fantastic, the finish is not too glossy, the medium pink tint is just right for every day wear, it's hydrating and super comfortable and never irritates or makes my lips more chapped, the packaging is functional and attractive, it doesn't leave any white cast which is a problem I had with the Pacific mineral lip balm, is SPF 30 when most other mineral lip balms are SPF 15, it doesn't melt in the heat which was a problem I had with the Fresh Sugar lip balms, it lasts for a good amount of time, and the scent isn't bothersome. I would rather that there was no scent, but this sort of rose smell is at least not irritating. I don't usually leave reviews but sun protection is nothing to joke around with, and Coola really outdid themselves and most other SPF lip balms on the market with this product. I will repurchase this again and again.

      Holy Grail

      By Jade

Comments about Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30:

I loooooove this stuff. I have the skinny dip shade and it's the perfect nude shade for me. It's perfectly moisturizing and lasts a long time! Yes the smell is slightly off putting but it just smells like sun screen so it reminds me of a summer day at the beach. I need every shade.

Can't get past the smell and taste

            from Chicago

Comments about Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30:

It's like a citronella smell and taste and it's dry and gritty. I really wanted to like it because I think the concept is perfect for beach dats and vacation. I gave it to my friend. It didn't bother her.

Comments about Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30:

Loving this light, subtle pink color so far. It enhances the natural color of my lips and goes on smooth with a nice, creamy consistency. After wearing for a while, my lips do feel more moisturized, but not to a significant degree. It's good for every day use. My only complaint is that I just bought this from my local Ulta store last week and only realized when I got home that the product has an expiration date of 03-2018. That may be why the product smells sort of stale. I don't smell or taste the caramel, as stated on the box. I would recommend that the store reviews the expiration date of products and discounts them accordingly when they are near that date.

            Choose your shade wisely

Comments about Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30:

I don't know why it's so hard to find lip balm with tint and SPF. The only other one I've seen is a Neutrogena balm, and it unfortunately has Oxybenzone in it.

Anyway, I have two colors of Coola Mineral Liplux SPF 30. Firecracker is a sheer red, which you can use for just a hint of berry tint or a bold red. I love it, and it deserves five stars. It smells great (Hibiscus), it's moisturizing, and it comes in a really cool twist-off-top metal tube. I lost my first one and immediately bought a replacement because it's so great. If you're going to get one color, get this one.

Then there's Summer Crush. First of all, it's not the color you expect. I was hoping, based on the color of the tube and the online swatch, for a vibrant coral pink. It is not. It's a very light, cool baby pink, a bit paler than my natural lip color. I do like it, but it probably wouldn't work for anyone less pale than me (and I am quite pale), or anyone with a warm undertone. Second of all, they decided to go with the scent "minty rose". Not only is that not a summer scent, it is absolutely atrocious. For five minutes it's like I've slathered my grandmother's perfume under my nose, then the smell dissipates (thank god). Why doesn't it smell like coconut? Or pineapple? Or anything remotely tropical or summery? The color and the scent make the name "summer crush" a complete misnomer for this product. It would be better called "spring rose" or "baby pink" something.

That being said, it's a good product and I will still use it for shade variety. I can't imagine what the other, apparently lighter shades must be like. Coola could really do with a re-vamp of this line and some new colors. I would definitely be interested in one of these balms in that coral color I was hoping for.

Hard to smooth product onto lips and the color looked dull. I was excited to try this mineral lip balm, but was quite disappointed. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return my purchase.

Our Nude Beach shade will offer the most natural nude/pink shade you re looking for while Tan Line will provide a coral/nude shade, and Summer Crush will be a true pink. All of our shades start sheer and offer a natural and buildable tint to compliment most skin tones!
