Most Helpful Positive Review Would buy again!
I considered myself wax-stupid before buying this product because I had never had a professional wax done, nor tried one at home. I decided to look up which at home products I should use before going on vacation, and the Parissa warm wax kit came up on several websites - I was thrilled about the $12 price tag (I purchased mine at my local Ulta).
The wax warmed up to the perfect temperature in the microwave (1:20 seconds), and the hair strips have generous surface area. I would recommend using the least amount of wax as possible, as getting the extra off is tedious, and it hurts when it pulls on skin that you don't need hair removed on. My first try in my bikini area on my thigh went super smooth and grabbed every hair - you could even see the root - I was super impressed. Even though the first one went perfectly, I had a few instances where I had too much wax, or I didn't pull the strip fast enough, etc. but I got through it!
I would be lying if I said that the process wasn't painful. Although I was using it on a sensitive area, I would assume that if I did it on my legs that it would be a piece of cake.
My one con of this product is that the blue oil container that is included should be 10x the size that it is - I moved to olive oil to get the rest of the wax off my hands/unwanted areas when it ran out - and that was on my first use! :(
It has been a week and the hair in my bikini area that I used the wax on has still not returned, although I can feel mini bumps/potential hairs that will probably pop up here soon - I'm not complaining! I did have some bruising and redness for about 24 hours on the treated area, but I applied lotion to the and took an Advil, so I was comfortable.
Most Helpful Critical Review worst wax product ever
I thought I'd try a new wax product so I purchased this one thinking it would be a great replacement. Instead I found the most ridiculously sticky product I've ever come across. I thought after I heated it up it would be better. Nope. it removed very few hair, the rest were still around but dripped in stickiness. The worst part was the next day I got a rash on the area I tried to wax. the oil that comes in the box helps with removing the stickiness but you need so much bc the wax gets everywhere because it sticks to everything. Back to Sally for me!

I have been waxing both at home and at salons for over five years. I generally use at home sugar waxed but the store was out of the one I use so I tried this. I've used this in my face, underarms and bikini line. It worked fine on my fave. However, it left large red marks on my bikini line and underarms that lasted almost a week. I've never had this happen with other waxes. Since it isn't sugar based, it only comes off with oil. Because of this, I found it very messy as it was not easy to clean up. It also was not as effective at removing the hair as the sugar waxes I have tried. I could have used the product incorrectly, but I will not be purchasing this again.
I would never ever ever buy this product again .

this product SUCKS . one of my armpits has coarser hair than the other , and even though it says its for coarse hair , it left stubble on my coarser side . i threw the whole kit away after use . DONT BUY . SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GET A WAXING APPT
I love this product!

I never write reviews, but this product is awesome. I went to Ultra to buy Moom wax, which I have used many times. However, Moom was not in stock, so I tried Parissa. This product is amazing! A little goes a long way and is so easy to use. With that being said, it is very sticky. The product comes with an oil that wipes the wax off your skin, just be careful not to get on clothes. Highly recommend, just follow the directions, if you are new to waxing.
Red Hairy Legs
Fran from Virginia
I ordered the Microwaveable Warm Wax by Parissa and followed all the directions when using it. I tested it 24 hours ahead of time on my thigh and didn't really have any issue with it. But today I used it on my legs and it was one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. First of all, it barley worked. It took off hair in patches and not all of it that I put wax on, so it pretty much looked the same as it did before i used the wax. Meaning I would've had to go over it twice, but I was too afraid it would rip my flesh off. Secondly, my skin is red. Not a pale pink color, but red. And this may be expected after waxing but this seems worse. There are little red dots all over my legs and bumps going down my legs. So now, my legs are still hairy, and now very red! This product did not work at all, I am in pain and I am afraid to leave my bedroom because of how horrible my legs look. I would attach a photo but I am too embarrassed about how my legs look. Imagine hairy strawberry.
Cheap horrible wax caused a trip to the doctor!!!
KiranS from SC
I have been waxing myself since 15 year old. I am 39 today, so yes I can safely say I am experienced. In waxing. But this wax is so horrible that I had to go to a dermatologist for the damage it did! I always do a patch test for allergy for a new brand and 48 hours later when I was not allergic, I went ahead with waxing my legs. The wax, I realized later, did not take the hair off the follicle but cut it off mid shift. This is a sign of a low quality wax!! This led to so many ingrown hair, with painful itchy pus filled blisters all over my legs. I had to get a steroidal cream from the doctor to calm my skin as it was so bad. Shame on this company to sell such a low quality wax ! Would suggest to anybody not to buy this wax!! This wax is not worth it and if I could give negative star I would !!!!!!!!
Easy to use

Easy to use! Def get the warmer.

Great product! Easy to use. I purchased the Parissa Wax Warmer as well and it worked like the charm. Make sure to check the consistency and temperature of the wax. Do NOT leave it on the warmer the whole or the bottom of the container will start to melt. I just wish it came in a larger quantity. Way better than the Organic Sugar Wax by Parissa. This wax was not too sticky, easy to apply, and not that painful as compared to other soft waxes.
Surprised how well this worked!
VV from New Jersey
It was a little messy but I'm very pleased with the results. Now that I've done it once, it will be easier next time. If you want a Brazilian, though...That would be hard to do to yourself!
I would buy this again

My favorite wax
Hate Shaving My Thick Hair from Florida
I love this wax. It's reasonably priced, heats up well on the warmer, spreads easily, and comes with plenty of strips. I never have a problem with it sticking to skin but I lightly dust wherever I'm waxing with cornstarch and that helps the wax only cling to the hairs. This is my favorite wax for waxing my underarms.

I have been using this product for over a year now! Even the first time using it I had zero problems. I bought the wax warmer along with it! It took about 45 mins to get to the best consistency for me to work with. I'd remove it from the wax warmer for about 10 minutes at a time and then would put it back on the warmer to keep it workable. If you buy this product I highly recommend the wax warmer. I read that a few people had problems with the waxing sticking to their skin? I have never had that problem using this product so I believe they just 1. didn't know what they were doing, and 2. weren't heating up the wax properly and then not removing it the right way.. The thinner you apply the wax the better of result. The oil they give you leaves your skin very smooth and removed excess stickiness. I do think more strips in the box would be great but once you know how to properly wax you can get more use out of one strip. I have only done my legs and bikini. I leave the rest for my ladies at European Wax! I highly recommend this product to everyone! 10 out of 10
Is it just me?

I've been home waxing using hard wax for years and have been to many salons for soft wax Brazilians, etc., but I feel like I must have no idea how to use this. As for my upper lip and lower face, it left patchy hairs and took the skin off part of my chin! The wax was pretty good at taking the hair off my legs smoothly but left streaks of wax that are now purple like my sweat pants. I could NOT get it off even with oil and showering/scrubbing. I was careful and still this stuff got everywhere. What's wrong???
Great for beginners
Customer from Texas
I've used Parissa wax strips for my underarms and really liked how it would pick up hairs. I decided to try their warm wax next because I wanted to try doing my own Brazilian. It worked great! I was nervous but working in small areas and buying the wax warmer helps a lot. I might never go back to European Wax Center now because I get the same results for a much cheaper cost
Did exactly what is designed to do.
Magumbo32 from Chicago, IL
Bought this to use on my God Son, he hates how sparse his facial hair is and wanted to get a clean face for the holidays. I waxed his upper lip where the 15 hairs grow, his sideburns, and under chin neck area. He has zero facial hair anywhere else.
It gets cool pretty quick, so be sure to work quickly, rub on the removal cloth with pressure, and rip quickly.
Would give 0 stars if I could
KSir from Stevens Point, WI
Worst wax I have ever used and I've used many microwaveable wax kits. Picked up zero hairs. Stuck to my skin even when I used the oil, and I ended up having to scrape if off with my nails. The wax got absolutely everywhere and made a mess. Only made the purchase because my local ulta was out of the hard wax but I wont be making that mistake again. This stuff went straight into the trash.
Zuri from Sheboygan, WI
For the price is okay but If I could return I would. So sticky and takes a while to come off when the wax is not fully removed. Had to use oil to remove how sticky it was.
Difficult To Clean
PhillyFoxy from Philadelphia PA
First of all this was so difficult to remove from the skin. Even with the oil it comes with I had to scrub it off, which doesn't feel great on newly waxed skin. The consistency is just frustrating to work with because it gets everywhere. I only use this to remove the hair on my upper lip, and it seems to be better at removing the top layer of skin than it does the fine hair as I usually have to go in more than once to remove the hair. I won't be buying this again.
Ouuu weee! My legs are silky smooth🤩

I have used home wax in the past, it was messy, all over, tough to work w.
I purposely grew out my leg hair for 3weeks for planning on waxing my legs (yes I know and trust me- I was ready to break down and shave) but I read the reviews for this product. Went into the store and asked a sales associate. She highly recommended this product, and guaranteed money back after 60 days and a few attempts. So glad I took a chance. The wax was clean, plenty of strips within the box. Only took me about a half hour to do both lower legs. The blue oil is phenomenal and great to put all over hands first then on the legs. We'll definitely be purchasing this brand again.

This product is reasonably priced and is very easy to use.

I have been buying this product from Ulta for over 15 years. My daughter and I both use it! We love it! Far less irritating than other waxes. Excellent hair removal!
Great for first timer

I got this for my first time at home waxing. I tested it on my leg as the box suggests before going too crazy. I have super sensitive skin so I got very red, which went away over time. I paired it with TendSkin to minimize any redness and irritation (I suggest for anyone with sensitive skin). It is messy, because it is wax, but overall super easy to use and i would repurchase.
Wouldn't recommend this product
Av from Orlando, FL
I've tried to use this wax twice now and both times it has been a disaster. I have the wax warmer so I used that to heat it up, which took about 30 minutes. Once it had finally heated up it was SO messy. I watched a lot of YouTube videos about waxing and felt like I had a clear idea of what to do. The consistancy was horrible and it didn't even get all the hair. Not only that but it was SO HARD to get off my skin. I scrubbed so much and eventually had to use olive oil and even that took forever. Overrall just a frustrating process. I'd rather just pay a salon to do it or maybe try a different product.
I am definitely buying this product again

I use it every 2 weeks or so
Great for a first timer!

I read a lot of reviews before I decided on this brand. Ran to ulta and got the kit and warmer to attempt my first Brazilian. Worked great. I'm glad I picked Parissa. warmer keeps good consistency. Love it!
Ness from Live Oak
Heats up in 30-40 minutes on the parissa warmer, stays perfect consistency the whole time! Strips are big enough for legs and arms or can be cut to size for facial waxing, I was easily able to use the strips on myself as well as a friend and the results were great! Not too hot to burn skin and the strips are more cloth like than paper.
