You get used to the smell

By Caley

from Georgia

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

I'll admit, when I first tried these, I found the smell disgusting and it was too harsh on my sensitive skin. I didn't want to waste my money so I stuck it out and kept using them and I'm glad I did. I like the smell now (kindof citrusy and tropical) and my face got used to the formula and looks better than ever now. For those of you having trouble getting your makeup off I suggest getting the full size water so you can remoisten the wipe or cotton pad occasionally because it does evaporate quickly, like polish remover.

other reviews are lies.

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

y'all the smell is NOT BAD. truthfully it doesn't have much of a smell. the other burt's bees wipes scents are much stronger. I really enjoy these wipes. they're gentle on the skin, take off almost all my makeup with one single wipe and they are not overly saturated. these are good wipes, if you are so afraid of the smell just go to the store and smell them yourself.

Smell is not that horrible!

By Marcianna

from Texas

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

I received a full sized pkg of these wipes in a beauty sub & was afraid to try them bc of all of the reviews stating the horrific scent here on Ulta. These DO NOT smell nearly as bad as people make them out to be so unless you are just super sensitive to scents imo you will live & be able to use these wipes. They are not oozing wet but are moist enough to remove makeup that is not too heavily applied. I don't think they are great at removing mascara or heavy eyeliner but they are ok. I personally will probably use them to wipe my semi-dirty makeup free face clean before applying skincare or makeup. I have very sensitive skin (rosacea) and these did not cause any immediate reactions so that's a plus. Would I purchase once these freebies run out? Prob not just bc I feel there are other wipes that do a better job. If you are a Burts Bees fan you may enjoy these wipes but they do come in other scents if all the negative comments re scent have turned you off to this scent. I personally think they smell like white cypress but not too heavy & not like house cleaner. Be your own judge.

Love It!!

By GaminMaiden

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

The smell really doesn't bother me, but I see why people are put off by it. These are the only face wipes I have been able to use that don't burn around my eyes and that includes other Burt's Bees products. So I will keep buying them!!

The smell is worth it

By Cristy

from Ummm

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

I typically use the Sensitive wipes by Burt's Bees but I decided to give these a try since it claims to have micellar water. The first time I used the wipes I hated the smell, but omg it took most of my makeup off. With the sensitive wipes I would use about 3 to take off ALL of my makeup. I use 2 MAX but maybe only one. The smell is bad but bearable. These wipes also have a different texture to the others. The wipes seem to be thicker. It also didn't irritate my skin whatsoever. They're worth it to me.

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

These wipes are just okay. They weren't wet enough to take off all of my makeup. They don't have a great smell either- it isn't terrible but not great. They are a good idea for cleaning up makeup/eyeliner/ etc., but there are better alternatives for cleaning your face at night. I suggest the Neutrogena hydrating wipes.

I have had issues with products irritating the skin around my eyes and have tried a lot before I tried these. These wipes remove all of the makeup and dirt from the day and don't irritate the skin around my eyes. I don't think they smell at all. I just wipe and apply night cream, so it has never been a thing I noticed. I am so glad I found this product

Okay so I use these still because I bought them and can't afford to throw them out, but at best they are good for wiping your makeup desk or cleaning your products off. Why? Because THEY SMELL BAD! What? Who approved this scent? I can't imagine anyone willfully placing this scent on their face.

          Worked Fine for Me

          By whitewolf361

          from San Diego, CA

Comments about Burt's Bees Micellar Water Towelettes:

These wipes worked fine for me. They remove my makeup better than my Aveeno ones (I also use Almay eye makeup remover pads), and the smell didn't really bother me. I would probably buy them again - I do prefer the Burt's Bees Sensitive wipes a bit, but I like the texture of the wipe on these; and I prefer the cooling sensation of the Yes to Cucumber wipes. But I do like these. I also haven't tried micellar water in a bottle, yet. I've been wanting to try Pacifica's micellar water, but haven't found the one I want in stores yet.
