I am absolutely crazy about this product. I've been a fan of SheaMoisture products since 2012ish so I've tried tons of them. This Split End Balm is one of my absolute faves! I have super dry, brittle, unmanageable 2C/3A hair. I always have frizz and am prone to split ends. I use this product in two ways: 1) On wet hair, it is the last styler I use after leave in and gel and also on dry hair after using a refreshing spray I'll take a little, focus on my ends and unmanageable front pieces. On wet hair especially, I find the key to application is take a small amount (you can always add more) and really emulsify it between the palms of your hands before scrunching it into the hair. It makes my hair look shinier, less frizzy and so healthy overall!!

This product really makes it look like your split ends are gone! It definitely works how it is intended to. However, the texture of this product is just terrible. When applying it to your hair, it legit feels like a goopy, greasy, and thick honey. Besides that, the product is really good.

Lives up to claims, unpleasant texture

Overall, I really like this product. it does seem to seal off broken ends & my hair definitely appears more healthy. I have super brittle hair and tons of split ends, so the difference is noticeable. the only thing I don't like is the texture, it's really not a pleasant feeling to apply. it really feels like putting honey in your hair, quite sticky, but it doesn't stay that way for long after applying. if you can stand that part, I'd reccomend!
