Most Helpful Positive Review Great! I bought this matte pallette and another pallette from the mad for matte collection, and I love both! You DO need a primer, and the elf eyeshadow primer in sheer does a great job to lay the foundation for these shadows to blend perfectly. (The elf primer in pearl has glitter in it just FYI).
It took a little practice, you definitely need to load up the brush and tap the excess off when applying to get the best effect, which to me seems like you're wasting some of the product, but it just makes sure the shade goes on evenly. I apply this with several ELF eyeshadow brushes.
ELF as a brand is killing it with these affordable options suitable for daily wear. It's priced so I can try many of their products, and I find I can fill out nearly my entire makeup routine with ELF products.
Most Helpful Critical Review No Pigment Been looking for a nice cool neutrals palette for when I'm feeling subtle cause warm browns dont work on me at all. Saw this and was really looking forward to trying it since there's a couple other items from elf that I love. Wound up super disappointed.
The shades all looked beautiful in the pan, but there was no pigment when I actually went to use them. I'm EXTREMELY pale. Like sometimes blend in with light walls when flash is too strong in photos pale. But even still these shadows barely showed up on my lids.
I'm also not one to normally complain about fallout either but with each shadow I barely touched my brushes to the pan and there was a ton of eyeshadow dust everywhere. No matter whether I used a packer or blending brush.
Maybe for someone who likes a really light natural look this might be better. But I like to look like I have eyeshadow on, even if I'm going for something more subtle. If I'm bothering to put makeup on I want people to see it and feel pretty. This palette did nothing for me.

Holy grail for nose contour 5
Ems761 from Fl
I've been using the third taupe shade as a nose contour shade for YEARS. It has the right grayish-neutral tones for light to medium skin. E.l.f. PLEASE make that shade into its own contour shade. I literally rebuy these palettes *just* for that one shade lol
I love the pallets which are color rich 3

Perfect Nude Pallet 4
RocketScientist from undisclosed
I bought this because I wanted neutrals that were actually matte. They make a perfect matte look on there own or can mix and match with other shimmer colors from other pallets.
Super Pigmented!!! 5
Kayla from Atlanta
Each eyeshadow is very pigmented. The lighter shades are still very pigmented, but because they are skin toned... pack it on top of a fresh/tacky layer of concealer! This is so worth the money.
Great basic palette 5
Tahreem from undisclosed
It's a gray eyeshadow palette that has nudes that you can use on a daily basis or if you mix them with other shimmer eyebrows, you can still create a beautiful eye look.
Great palette for the price! 4

I've bought 2 of these palettes over the years and completely stand by them! A lot of great matte shades that are easy to blend. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the shadows need to be built up a bit. That's not a huge negative to me as I'd rather have them built up in case I mess up.
Nice color selection 4

Nice colors from warm to cool. Very matte. Blendable with effort. Works with finger or brush. Good pigment and shade saturation. Good value. Works wet as a liner.
Good affordable palette 4

super chalky , not much pigment to it but it's actually buildable with MANY layers.
Not very pigmented, but pretty good 4
Liv from Ma
Not too much color payoff but it's a good option for a cheap and subtle makeup look
Super chalky 2

Nice colors but very chalky. Low pigmentation for the lighter colors, but the darker colors are nice.

I love this palette! Compliments any skin tone and is great for everyday eyeshadow.
Affordable 5

Very affordable, easy to use, good to practice with as someone who is new to makeup. The case and pans are nice and compact. The colors are a bit plain/boring but that is what you signed up for.
Great for everyday use 5

Everyday Matte Nude palette 5
Roielle from Detroit, MI
I don't change much in my make-up routine. This nude matte palette is perfect for the everyday use and so very affordable. I use to spend so much more on Two Faced Chocolate Bar palette and I find ELF's Nude Mood is a great substitute and perfect price point! I can change from everyday nude to smokey eye in one cheap palette.

The Best Natural Drugstore Eyeliener 5
Lizzy from US
The pigmentation isn't top notch, but you can definitely build it up. Easy to apply. Perfect for everyday smoky looks. Has a decent amount of product but you can still fit it in your smaller purses. Looks great for fair, light & medium skin.
Also, love the gray shade. Works great as an eyeliner.
Another Keeper 5
Jazzy from Joliet, IL
I bought 3 different kinds of eye palettes and this one was not a disappointment. I don't need to buy those super expensive eye colors. As long as I have a eye primer, this one lasts all day.
great shades, terrible performance 3
monalissanne from Texas
I'm not a palette snob and will happily mix my high end shades with Dollar Tree finds, but I could not make any of these elf palettes blend well. It's disappointing because it really is a great set of matte neutrals. I tried to make it work several times, but I ultimately gave this one and the other similar palette to my niece to play/practice with.
Really good palette 4

So there's another one of these called summer breeze. That's the one I tried and it's amazing! So get that but for some reason I don't see it on here but you'll probably find it at like a drugstore or something
