Most Helpful Positive Review Great for fine hair
I have short, fine hair and this works well for me when I blow it out with a round brush. It's very light and doesn't weigh my hair down, so by the end of the day my hair still looks good. (Seriously light and foamy - a tiny squirt fills my hand with velvety foam)
The only minor problem I have with it is that sometimes my ends get static-y in dry winter weather and this is too light to hold them down. A little hairspray to the ends fixes it though.
Most Helpful Critical Review A great product ruined by new formula
As many other people are saying on here, the old formula was a fantastic mousse. The new one is a completely different recipe and should be sold as a different product as it has nothing in common with the former, excellent mousse.
If you notice, all the old reviews are 5 stars, and all the new ones are 1 star! That should tell you something...

My tween has been in search for the right hair product to style is hair. He's tried, gels, mousse, creams, pomades etc. Either the products would weigh his hair down or simply didn't work at all. I recently bought him this based off the reviews. It worked perfectly! He's able to style his hair the way he wants and it's last almost the whole day. It's nice that it had a decent hold without weighing the hair down or going flat. This is definitely a keeper. No flakes or gunk left in hair either
Mousse for Wavy Hair

I liked this mousse. It is the best mousse I have used but I dont usually go for mousse but when I want to try something new I always go for this one. It provides extreme hold for my waves and the crunchiness goes away after scrunching for a couple seconds. Overall I would recommend this product.

I use this after washing my hair, before I blow dry it!
Great product, Great Value

I purchased this mouse on a whim, and was not disappointed. I have long thick hair, and just use this on my roots after getting out of the shower to give my hair volume. It is such a great value. I have spent much more on products that didn't work half as well. Gives great lift, and doesn't weigh my hair down or make it feel "crunchy". Will definitely repurchase when I run out.
wish this was still available

I loved the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Mousse. Now they have replaced it and the new stuff does nothing for my hair and others according to the reviews. ULTA needs to update their online store because I ordered the old mousse which is still available according to this site and got the whipped stuff. Called and they resent the old mousse I had tried to order and what do you think happened?? I got more of the new mousse that is not good at all.
Come on John Frieda, go back to the old mousse.

I loved this foam when I first bought it and have had it for about a month. Up until the last few days where it wasn't foam anymore, watered down, and today it was like cream. It's maybe a little more than halfway gone. So I won't be using this product again.
Disappointing product, I'm throwing it away
Samantha from New York, NY
Within the first month or two of using this, it was great, left my hair voluminous and did its job. My hair washing schedule is every other day or two days, and I only used it when my hair was damp (after I washed my hair). I noticed that as time went on, the product was not compatible with my hair; after I blow dried my hair, I noticed that the mousse left an invisible film in my roots, leaving my hair feeling extremely sticky, and my scalp very itchy. On days when I let my hair air dry with the product on, the effects of the mousse were worse! My roots were crunchy and it hurt to move my top hairs to different sides of my head. I'm sad that this product didn't work out for me because it's hard finding a nice voluminous mousse product. I'm throwing this product out today. I would not recommend this to a friend. I hope this helps!

John Frieda Volume Lift Air-Whipped Foam definitely gave my hair tons of volume. And it's very simple to use. But I did not like that my hair was not touchable soft after using hairdryer.
I loved the air whipped foam!

The air whipped foam was so much easier to style my hair. It gave me long lasting volume and made my hair fell amazing all day.
Change in formula

I used to love the "Perfectly Full" mousse but they've gone and changed the ingredients and now my hair is dry, crunchy, and sticky. I even tried using less product but it still felt gross. Not happy at all.

Love this styling foam

I really enjoyed using the John Frieda Volume Lift Air-Whipped Foam. It is very lightweight and was easy to work with. Most styling foams weigh down my hair but I did not have that problem with this product. It added lots of volume to my hair and made it look very healthy and gave my hair a beautiful lift.
Awesome styling foam.

The styling foam is a great product to provide great hold after curling your hair. The overall application of the whipped foam Is a luxurious feeling and the product ensures the hairstyle lasts throughout the day.

John Frieda Volume Lift Air-Whipped Foam is weightless in my hair and kept it styled all day long. I love it.

I loved trying the Job Freida Volume Lift Air-Whipped Foam from Home Teater club. It held my curly hair very nicely in place without getting fizzy.
Not really a fan

I have very fine, thin hair. I didn't like this product. It gave me some volume, but it also weighed my hair down and made it feel gross. Second day hair was not happening either.

Long lasting volume without the stickiness also has a great smell
Sticky and not worth it
Momof26 from USA
This Air whipped foam for volume is lackluster at best. It made my hair sticky and hard to style while providing very little volume. I would not recommend
Nice volume boost!

I have fine thin hair that doesn't hold a curls very well. I am always trying new products that add volume, but a lot of products weigh my hair down. I applied this on my towel dried hair and then blow dried with a round brush. It gave my have a nice volume boost and a little texture to work with. It worked well on my hair type.
camwife0410 from USA
This product helped my fine/thin hair to have more volume quickly and almost effortlessly.
apepper4 from USA
I have thin flat hair. I usually use a dry powder lift that you add right to the roots. It adds a lot of volume that lasts all day without leaving a dirty feel. The one thing I don't like about it is I have to completely dry it to add it. The foam was added to wet hair and dried almost completely and completely daily for a month. It made my hair feel dirty and crunchy. It didn't give any lift. I changed the amount of what I used adding less and more seeing if that mattered. And it didn't! I definitely do not recommend this product.

Wasn't too crazy about the product
Although it did give me volume (only for about an hour) it also left my hair a sticky tacky mess.
