Most Helpful Positive Review Don't listen to the negative reviews! I don't know why everyone is so upset over the new loose powder?? Translucence was only good in the pressed form. The old loose powder was chunky and waaayyyy too dark even in shade 100. This new loose powder is amazing! I've tried TONS of high end loose powders and this one is simply the best! It's soo finely milled and truly translucent. It doesn't have that horrible white cast or flashback that most loose powders have. It's sets my makeup and doesn't crease in my under eye area (which is nearly impossible)! You get a ton of product for a great price in my opinion! Give this a try and you won't be disappointed! Also ditch the puff because it's ridiculously small and a powder brush works way better!
Most Helpful Critical Review Disappointed Recommended for replacement of translucent 100. It is not the same results. Very disappointed.

Could have been better 3

Could have been so much better, I am honestly surprised because I use the foundation and it is amazing! Try to use this to set under My eyes, didn't work settled in my creases, tried using it all over the face to set, and it gave me a textured look all over and settled in fine lines. The coloring was great, and deep but poor finishing
Perfect for me! 5

In contrast to mixed reviews, I am very pleased this new loose powder. The super-fine formula blends beautifully, and the Translucent shade is perfect for my ultra fair complexion.

This powder sets so effortlessly and does not emphasize texture! It's lightweight and long wearing. It definitely takes care of any shine and gives a velvety soft finish. Not sure about the bad reviews but this powder is NICE. I have oily acne prone skin with texture.
Impossible to Open! 1

I am just about to take a sledgehammer to this plastic jar: there is some sort of hard seal that prevents access to the powder once the lid is taken off.
What happened to Translucence?? 1

What happened to Translucence Silky Loose Powder?? I am so light colored that this color looks muddy on me, not like the original. At least have more than TWO colors.
still had shine 4

I love lancome products however, this product didnt live up to my expectations...you have to bang it to get enough on the sponge to put on your face. I didn't really see what the hype about it was...however...it goes on the skin really well and makes my skin feel clean and light
Love this 4

I have tried a few brands of loose setting powder and I like lancome. I feel you need to use too much of this type of product, regardless of the brand, though. It makes my face feel soft and dry, not sticky from moisturizer and foundation. My makeup lasts all day.

Works well for combo skin 4
Jess from Indianapolis IN
I'm pretty sure I have combo skin I have a very dry forehead but my t zone is so oily and so are my eyelids which is weird but this setting powder works so well! For my face I use it after concealer to bake and it leaves my t zone area pretty matte, the longest I've worn this setting powder without having to powder up my nose is like 6-7 hours but that's me and it was around my nose where I'm most oiliest. I'm giving it 4 stars because I don't wear a lot of makeup if anything it's just mascara and gloss. For my eyelids I use concealer and then this powder and it stays on for 7 ish hours for me. Overall it's really good product I think :))
Amazing 5

Very light weight! I use a powder brush instead of the pad it comes with. Very silky and I don't even notice it.
I will buy it again 4

This is a great product and it's my second time purchasing it. It goes on smooth and gives you that velvety finish your looking for. The only real con is that you have to reapply it every few hours because the shine starts to come through. Also, it does settle into fine lines and wrinkles. I'm 36 and have a few line between my brows when I furrow them and over time this powder makes them very pronounced.
Bring back the translucence pressed powder! 1
Gina T from Los Angeles, CA
I was a loyal customer for 20 years, until you discontinued the translucence pressed powder. This product, paired with the foundation, was perfect. Nothing replaces the pressed powder - all the new products do not compare. I've had to look elsewhere.
Haven't received product 1

I placed the order about a month ago and haven't received it. So I can't write a review. Sorry
Love! 5

Very light powder. I wear it on top of my full coverage foundation. It helps it set and prevents shine throughout the day. Since it's translucent you don't have to worry about it looking too cakey!
beautiful finish 5

I usually use the Dual Finish, and I moved over to a liquid. I used this lightly over my face at the end to finish up my look. My shin felt lite, and clean still. I loved this product.
One of my go-go translucent setting powders 5
Dee from Bear, DE
I've repurchased this powder a few times over the years. I keep coming back to it. It's finely milled, translucent, sets my concealer and face without ever looking cakey. It's also easy to apply other powders (contour, bronzer, etc) over it without my face looking powdery. This is one of two translucent powders that sets my concealer without changing the coloring of my concealer. It also doesn't accentuate my lines and wrinkles.
My new favorite powder! 5

I love setting my make up with this powder It makes it look even better. It does not settle into lines or pores it blurs them. It's expensive but it lasts a long time. I switched from KVD and that is one of the best but I like this one better. No dry look stays on quite a while.
I will buy this again 4

Great for my over 40 oily skin.
Good Oil Control 5
Terry from Tampa
I find that this product works best when used BEFORE applying foundation. I dust the product on my face first then apply my foundation with a sponge. I do not have to touch up during the day when I use the product that way and I have no shine and my face does not get oily. When I use foundation first then set my face with the powder I find that the product does not work as well and my face gets very oily.

Best powder I've used! 5
Jenny from Seattle
Very finely milled, gives me an airbrushed look, lasts all day and the best part is that i don't have any flashback in photos with this powder!!! Can't rave about it enough!!
Better than regular powder! 5
tlgrosz from Minneapolis, MN
I am 48 and have always used regular powder to "set" my makeup and remove excessive shine. However, after using Lancome's Long Time No Shine Loose Setting Powder, I will never again use regular face powder! Lancome's setting powder is lightweight, effective in both keeping my foundation and blush intact, and it doesn't settle into fine lines or look "cakey" like regular powder does. I'll never go back!
