Most Helpful Positive Review The Best!
I own several shades of these Lustre lipsticks and they get a bad rap. They are a genuine combination of lipstick and gloss. They can be built up, but they genius of them is that they make your (or my) lips look SO much better. I own Hug Me, Syrup, Politely Pink (one of my favorites), Patisserie and See Sheer, and will buy more before I'm done. I DO own the other types of MAC lippies, and I adore some of them, but some of the mattes are a little too drying, also some of the Satins. I guess if you want Big Bold Statement lips all the time...well then you don't want these, but I'm rather a classic type, and I really enjoy these. Everyone notices me...never my makeup. Another thing. They really don't last all day, but I love reapplying my lip products. It's way better than having dry lips.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't Last
I absolutely loved this color. I ordered a few online and this one, by far, was my favorite color. But, it only lasted 12 minutes. Yes, I timed it. And, that was without talking, drinking or eating. Not worth it, unfortunately. I have to send it back and it makes me very sad.

I found the color Cockney from a sample packet and fell in love with it! The color is a perfect sheer red for me but I find the lipstick very drying. My lips are quite dry in the week since I started using this product.

This is the only lipstick I have that goes well with all kinds of makeup. Moisturizing and suitable for everyday wear. I am Asian and somehow it goes very well with my skin tone. Looking forward to trying other shades. Lustre line is my favorite so far.

I love Pretty Please. A retro mod pink from the 60s. Edie Sedgwick look.
Have been looking for this pink for a long time.
Bearsbunny from Hampton GA
This color is great! It's shear but buildable. I love a transparent red. It's the way is over 40 can wear red and not look like a middle aged trying too hard. Do not be fooled by the description of the red. Cockney is described as a yellow red. But for fair skinned ladies that can be an issue. Cockney to me is not yellow based. It's flattering on fair skin just as much as a blue based red. And I love the sheerness of it. The little bit of glitter in the color is actually flattering and wonderful for a night out. But I wear it during the day as well. I also have ruby woo, but it's very matte and ages me. I might try mixing them to see what I get. Cockney is a great purchase. Will buy this red again.

My forever color
Miki from USA
I'd best describe this lipstick as "the color of my lips, but better". Subtle but so pretty! Enhances cooler, fair skin tones.
Best lipstick ever!

I put on and reapply during the day for a little color and moisturizer.
Bad color description
Kellyjack from Oregon
I had a sample of Hug me and loved it and it had pink mauve tint so I ordered the tube from Ulta and it is brownish orange. Does not match the description or the tester when swatched. So disappointed.

I got the shade capricious! Absolutely love it when it's sheered out! Definitely not transfer proof when built up but Becomes transfer proof when sheered out! Will definitely buy this shade again
Great lipstick that feels good on your lips
MnNice from MN
I think a liner would help to make sure it stays it doesn't bleed. The feel is fabulous and the color that I received as a complementary sample is beautiful. I highly recommend this lipstick, Mac is great and this one is one of their best.
Tinted Summer Lips
Zeena from Anaheim
The shade see sheer is darker in person compared to the online pictures. It is more of a coral pink in real life. It takes 2-3 swipes to build the color to a bright coral shade. The texture and formula is smooth and creamy. This beats tinted lip balms (i.e. physician's formulas tinted lip balms) that are oil based as those tend to feel a bit more greasy and slippery. Plus those type of balms tend to melt faster in my bag. Because of its creamy base, it isn't transfer proof. After 2-3 hours, the color does fade evenly but I can still see it on my lips! I'll probably end up buying more colors in the future.

This lustre formula really sets Mac lipstick apart from all other in the universe. And Pretty Please is a color all of us can wear!! Pearly, soft white pink. Ahhhh just perfection in a black tube
Good form - unexpected fave!
Jen from Vancouver
Picked up this shade on a fluke and it's my new favorite go-to shade for every day! I usually go more nude and subtle shades, so was surprised at how versatile and wearable Good Form is for very fair skin! With layering and a brick-red liner, you can make it more of a classic red-lip look, with a nude liner and a light coat it's more like a cherry-gloss. LOVE it!
Hug Me is not a " Flesh Pink "
The Bone Collector of Makeup from Biscayne Bay, FL
I am an old School MAC buyer and used to be a MAC pro before going to Law School. The shade Hug Me is described as a " Flesh Pink " i haven't been in the store for months due to lockdown guidelines. But I was really baffle already when I saw the box little color reference and when I finally opened it is a nude medium brown. Who is doing this shade descriptions for MAC? I am sorry but I compared with other nude browns I have this is no pink. It is 3 times darker than Jeffree Star Lip Ammunition in " Celebrity Skin ". Same discrepancy on description are happening to " Blankety " and " Leave me Breathless ". Not to mention the stock pictures here. Absurd. I had to look at the sticker on the bottom of each of them because I seriously thought I got the wrong tubes inside.
Halla from Orlando,FL
I have always worn lipstick, but not so much bolder shades. In the last 3 years or so, I have challenged myself to step out of the box. I love this color! My only challenge is that my lips have pink undertones, thus making it appear it a little lighter than I would like. I fix that by coating my lips with a little foundation and powder before applying the lipstick. I highly recommend this shade. It can be a year-round shade in my lipstick arsenal.
Lynne29 from PNW
This is a pretty color. I love that it is lustre. It is lighter than shows on my computer screen. It goes well over darker colors.

Moisturizing & Great Color
Vicky from New York, NY
Super nourishing, feels like a good lip balm. Color is also pretty pigmented for a sheer lipstick. Great for everyday wear. A really pretty brown—soft and blends with natural dark pink/red lip to make a nice neutral rose-y brown.
Radeja from Florida,US
I love this color so much. It's great for everyday looks because it's buildable in color intensity. I will definitely buy again!
