Comments about La Roche-Posay Lipikar Moisturizing Lotion with Shea Butter and Glycerin:

I have dry, sensitive skin, and bought this because it has great occlusive ingredients (shea butter and mineral oil) and good reviews. It definitely moisturizes and soothes my itchy skin, but I hated it at first because I found it so greasy/sticky... but I decided to try it a bit longer before returning, and I've found that if you apply it sparingly, it absorbs really nicely, leaving a very light protective layer on the skin that dries soft and lasts for a long time. I spread about 1.25 pumps over both legs, and about 2 scant pumps over the rest of my body. This means that I have to use a lot less of this than other lotions, so while it's expensive up front, I think it will even out. I will definitely use the bottle up and will probably repurchase. Just be careful not to apply this like you would another lotion - use maybe half as much as you think you need, to avoid stickiness.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Lipikar Moisturizing Lotion with Shea Butter and Glycerin:

So i used to use CeraVe's SA lotion on my face as a daily moisturizer, but they definitely discontinued it, so I've been on the hunt for a new every day moisturizer. I have relatively dry skin, I've only used this about 4 times now, but so far it seems to really moisturize, I've experienced no irritation or breakouts. So i'm really excited about this, and i hope it continues to work for me because this could be my new staple! It feels a little thick and sticky in a way at first, but i find it absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave a heavy residue on the face. though still obvious it's there. Also the smell is pretty awful, it just smells weird, not strong, not fragrant, just not a good smell. But i can overlook it if the product does what it's meant to.
