you're suppose to use a small amount and scrub on your lips, issue is, there's BARELY any sugar scrub in it. Its nice and minty. Its not doing the job it was meant to do. Im extremely disappointed. Especially for the price.

Comments about Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub:

I love wearing liquid lipstick. I wanted to get something that would exfoliate my lips so that I could get a better lipstick application and wear. I asked one of the employees at my Ulta what she would recommend as a lip scrub and told me that this was the only lip scrub they carried at that store. So I bought it. I don't know if I got a bad one, but this one does not exfoliate my lips whatsoever. There is hardly any sugar in it. Not to mention, the packaging is awful to distribute the product. Don't waste your money on this if you are looking for a lip scrub. Not trying to hate on Laura Geller products as they do make beautiful highlighters, but this was just not good.

        fail.

Comments about Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub:

This product just confuses the heck out of me. There is barely any sugar in it, so it is not very exfoliating (which is the express purpose of a lip scrub). But, it comes in a tube with a tiny opening so what few sugar crystals are in there *constantly* clog it. And lastly, the instructions say to rinse off after use, but this stuff is made of petrolatum so it's not even water soluble- obviously it can be wiped off, but the instructions should just say that! Would not recommend or ever repurchase, it's pretty worthless.

        Waste of Money

        By Kay

Comments about Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub:

I use the product as directed. There are barley any sugars that come out to exfoliate the lips. This product is so thick but there is no texture to exfoliate. It is pretty much a thick tea-tree feel oil. I have squeezed so much out of the tube to try and get sugars but it's like there are next to none in the product. Very disappointed!

Comments about Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub:

This is THE WORST lip scrub I have ever used. It has barely any sugar in it, so it feels more like a non-moisturizing lip balm than a scrub that removes dead skin and preps lips for lipstick application. I have used many that are cheaper or more expensive - all of which were miles better than this.

Sugar gets stuck and doesn't exfoliate

            By Courtenay

Comments about Laura Geller Lip Strip Smoothing Sugar Scrub:

I find myself having to push the sugar granules back with a toothpick every day in order to actually get any out of the tube. The formula it's in is fine enough (nice and minty), but I didn't buy this just so I can have another lip balm. I wish the sugar actually came out better.

            • Q:

Are the sugar cubes meant to give a strong scrub? Is the waxy residue normal or should it be removed with a cleansing product? How many times us this product to be used? Daily? Is that why it so gentle? When is the best time to use the product right before applying lipstick or the night before? Are you suppose to stop massaging the product in until all the sugar has dissolved? Can it be used twice in a row if it feels like it didn't do the job the first time or would it irritate the lips? Is it best to use this product then moisturize the lips with a salve?

                A:

Hello, the sugar cubes are meant to give a soft scrub. It will leave a slight waxy residue that is easily removable with water. You can use a damp cloth or paper towel to remove it. I would recommend using this daily to ensure lips remain soft and supple, and using it in the morning before you do your makeup is best. The sugar will not completely dissolve, so simply massage it into the skin for about 30 seconds and then rinse. It absolutely can be used as many times in a row as you wish! It should not irritate the skin, as it does contain vitamin E to keep the lips soft and comfortable. Use first and then moisturize. Enjoy!!!
