I'm so glad I did! The mask feels wonderful, smells nice (less sweet than the Laneige), and leaves my lips moisturized by morning. I use this on my 6 year old daughter as well, who is resistant to balms during her busy days. This heals her lips literally over night. I will continue to purchase and will likely also give as gifts. I'll also note that the same company that produces the Laneige Lip Mask makes this one as well. They're both owned by Amorepacific.Most Helpful Critical Reviewbleached out the skin around my lips!!!I really enjoyed using this at first. Then after a few weeks of applying it intermittently overnight and sometimes as a balm during the day, I started noticing that the skin surrounding my lips looked weirdly lighter than the rest of the skin on my face. It was a very subtle difference and I thought maybe I was mistaken so I kept using the product albeit a bit lest often. To my horror it continued and I found myself applying my foundation all the way down on to my lips to try to blend the difference. I asked my husband if he could see it and when I pointed it out he said he could. I have very light skin so the difference was subtle but it was certainly there. I dread to think what this might have been like for me if I had more melanin in my skin. I think the difference might have been far more noticeable. If you're thinking, "oh I can just be more careful and not get this on the skin surrounding my lips" well... That's pretty hard when your sleeping with it on... which is how it is intended to be used. It took about a month for my skin tone to return to normal. This is the only product I have ever used that has caused this kind of reaction. It was really scary. I absolutely do not recommend this product unless you want to have a semi permanent pale ring around your entire mouth. I had had a huge problem chewing and picking at my flaky lips, which of course only caused more flakiness. After I got the extreme physical exfoliating habit under control (which was no easy task), I decided to try a chemically-exfoliating mask. Chemical exfoliating lip masks are generally better for your lips than scrubs, but there aren't as many on the market. At first I was disappointed, because the texture is thin and oily, and I was sure I would only use it when I didn't have another balm handy. I quickly changed my mind when I gave it a real chance. I use this as a balm throughout the day, and a thicker layer as a mask at night. My lips are so smooth and soft since using this regularly! Especially impressive since I started using it when there were wildfires nearby in the Summer, and the air was so dry. I'm going to keep buying this for sure, and was stoked to see they expanded the product to have different scented versions, and will definitely be trying the pomegranate one.
